- Yes, you read it well! Vizazi tried to climb on Amahoro her back while Mambele was fleeing/taking care of Ama. It was so wonderful to witness. So lovely to see she is reaching out for her. I miss them at this moment because of the virus it's hard to go to Belgium. Though I loved this very special moment and liked to share it with you, although it happened two weeks ago.
(So I hope you like it, although the footage is from a phone and not the best camera. This was taken when the caretakers where outside to clean their enclosures.)

This is such a beautiful family group, they all look so well adjusted. Matadi is a great silverback, the peaceful atmosphere reflects his leadership. He takes good care of his five ladies.

Here's a silly & (totally random) observation of mine...Does anyone else notice, (just early on,) how those adorable heads of such innocent & fragile looking little baby apes (& their hands & feet). always look to be a little too big for those tiny & vulnerable looking bodies of theirs...HaHaHa...Then, in the blink of an eye, it usually doesn't take very long before everything starts looking more proportionate....HaHaHa...My oh *MY* ... How I simply *LOVE* Great Apes ... They're just so FASCINATING to ME beyond logical explanation... *: )*
Right @poppykok5, I've been thinking the same before. And still when i see Thandie's feet, I find them rather big. But then again, they need to carry her on al her adventures LOL. Like when she's hanging on the ceiling fence, I sometimes have to close my eyes, but she's so strong!

We don't know. For now we can still go wherever we want in our own land (NL). But they asked to not go to other countries or quarantine yourself afterwards. I'm also sooo done with the virus. Really hopes it will go away soon :(.

Het was weer leuk! Ik moest vooral lachen om Thandie en haar gekke bekken :) En het allerlaatste stukje daar is Vizazi zo schattig . 't is een kleine eigenwijs, mevrouwtje weet wat ze wil. Binnenkort zit ze op Amahoro's rug denk ik :D

Rarely but yes, Amahoro grooms Mambele ;). But most of the time I see Mambele groom Ama. And this was the first interaction I've seen between ama and vizazi ;). Probably won't be long untill we see more interactions. Thanks for watching 🥰

I may have missed a statement about this earlier, but does Vizazi have a form of vitiligo? Her thumbs have no pigment
She misses pigment on her fingers. But I've seen it with more gorilla's. She doesn't have it at other places. In the beginning also under her feet but that wil slowly become darker. Her fingertips will probably stay this way.
