Man I always hate these interviews... I would ask THEM ALL such great questions dude. Taylor: how many pairs of swim trunks do you own and where do you usually go to buy them? Ronnie: what/who was your inspiration to play keyboard? Nate: What’s your fav Sunny Day Real Estate song(s)? Chris: tell me some stories from No Use for a Name and what was the pressure like to be the new guy? And last but not least Pat: my hero. I love you man. I don’t even have a question for you I just wanna let you know you rock and you don’t get the credit you deserve at all. I just wanna let you know that you are a legend and the fact that no one acknowledges that is fucking BLASPHEMY !!!!! All these interviewers ask THE SAME questions that they literally can just CZcams in fucking 5 seconds LET ME INTERVIEW YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alec Dziuk I saw an interview where Dave said there was no one who should be tagged with the name “rockstar “ other than Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Robert Plant... everyone you should expect, except him! Dude’s a complete rockstar! Humble, grateful, thankful... the complete package!!
I thought that too LOL and I never really noticed them acting that way before not to this extent anyway. Nate and Chris never speak very much anyway but still....their mannerisms said it all. tension in the band? mmm...maybe but I hope not.
They must have felt pretty awkward. Being aware that your presence (at the interview) is completely token, as being a formal member of the band. On the flip-side, we may be reading into it too much and they may just have a classic band/team mentality where a leader (Dave Grohl) is the vocal leader and speaks as a representative on behalf of everyone just to keep things simple.
RELAX PEOPLE.. They are showbiz legends who've been in the industry for decades. Imagine how would you go through hours and hours of interviews each day.. for decades! They were probably were snoozing off 5 minutes before the interview started (because after all, artists travel all the time.. very draining indeed).
I thought the same thing. Ego man doesn't let them talk and bad interviewer who won't ask the rest of the band questions. But hey it's all about the money. I'd just sit there as well if I was being paid good. Talk away Dave Talk away!
I saw them 2 weeks ago in Singapore and they instantly became my favorite band of all time. I'm 43, I grew up listening to Dave playing drums for Nirvana. Along the way, I listened to their commercial hits but I decided to catch them in concert & started listening to more of their music. I realized how good they really are. I'm in awe of Dave, who is multi-talented and is just having fun as a musician and the fact that they're a dad band. The whole band, they just have fun on the stage...I love how they have older fans and new fans. I'm lucky to be living in times like these ;-)
Dolores Reeves you might like Queens of the Stone Age. Dave Grohl drummed on their 2002 hit album 'songs for the deaf' and also their sort-of recent ...Like Clockwork. They're great
Dolores Reeves I'm 42 just seen them on the first in Seattle and the tenth in Portland. I was laughing to myself while reading your comment. You said almost exactly how I feel.... seeing them live made me feel so many different things and made me remember how I used to feel about life 😊 I've listen to people talk about having a religious awakening. I really mean it when I say being at the concert reconnected me with the good stuff in me that I lost along the way ..... it makes me smile... they will never know about this, but I say thank you
Not sure but have any of you tried to interview a band with everybody speaking? Especially if the interview is short? It's a manheim!!!! So they usually designate one to talk on behalf of the others. Obviously, this spokesperson could only be David Grohl. That's how things work. And yes the whole band must be present. And if they weren't some would gossip about a row within the band. Anyway, some people never enjoy the good part as they're always so keen on finding flaws to point the finger at. I love the interview, I love Foo Fighters, thank you BBC for the initiative!!!!
I lived in LA for a while. Not only did nobody ever ask me how my day was, most folks would say "what do you want?" whenever you said hello to them in passing....if they said anything at all.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder marked by an ongoing pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning or development.
I hate when only the lead singer talks for the band during interviews ugh. There's like so many other dudes there and he spoke the whole time..... I love the band but jeez
You're no doubt bang on with that thought, but you'd think they'd at least leave in a discussion about Rami becoming an official member, assuming they even talked about it.....
I think the people commenting on this video are probably more annoyed about him talking the whole time than the other guys in the band were. Just saying.
Dave and his men know some 'psychology' behind how to 'articulate' and project themselves..which is doing it exactly this way - like unrehearsed and Unpredictable - real men in Rock ! :)
imagine being one of the best rock dryet your frontman is better ! jj both amazing guys and a great awesome band. Rock and roll exists today only thanks to them
Dave interviews are always good for a laugh and has great stories, but it would be cool to hear more of the other guys POVs and on stage live Dave is great but the rest of the band needs to get up and show their shit man cause they all Foos right, love to hear more from Pat 'the germs' Smear, Taylor talks a bit but the rest, you wonder why they even turned up? Just saying man, love the FOOS!!!
I agree but having seen some interviews where Nate and Chris and even Pat speak they seem a little uncomfortable talking too much so they sort of sit back and let Dave and sometimes Taylor talk (and I think Rami felt odd talking at first just after he joined full time but he's broken out a bit more now). I do like to see the behind the scenes stuff though because then they are talking away and feel more comfortable than in interview settings
he's always like that on most of his interviews.. I think he's superactive, and maybe his mind is always running. At some point in this interview you can actually see him coming up with a drumline for a song and tapping with his foot & hand.
Yes, exactly! I know about the fidgety-ness and hyperactivity because I'm a drummer myself, and I'm like that most of the time too, so I relate to him soo much!
Tayler looks like he can care less to be there, when she asks him a question dave glances to the side like oh what is he gonna say, is his handler off camera
Do the rest of the Foo's ever really get to have any input at all in these interviews? Its Daves band i guess but its starting to get a bit old listening to him waffle on about who he knows and how hes trying this and doing that while the other guys sit there looking like they're wondering why the fuck they have to sit through another interview, be cool to hear what they think, what they put into it, like SHUT UP Dave!!! just saying, 20 years of Dave's world... still his music keeps evolving in a great way no doubt about that, love the Foos, seen them a bunch of times but hey just some honest observations of a band looking a little 'over it maybe?'
To be honest, this interviewer did a really bad job of getting everyone in the band involved with this interview. She just kept staring at Dave like he was the only person in the room. I get it, he's the face of the band and he's fucking amazing, but the rest of the band definitely looks like "why the fuck are we here?" and when they're doing that you're not doing a good job.
If you go back when Dave was with Nirvana. Watch the interviews and Dave did the same thing Taylor is doing in this interview.
Cause I’m nirvana he was in Kurt’s band , but the foos is his project
Dave Grohl talks life, music and headlining Glastonbury with Clara Amfo

Idk....really asking Taylor about his shorts? Lame.
Well it would be a fine interview if you actually KNEW the names of the band members. Ronnie?
Lmao u aren't a fan who is Ronnie
Also what would you ask Dave lol?
You suck. Ronnie lol
Dave Grohl acts as if he's unaware of how huge of a rockstar he is or how huge the band is and I love it. Lol
Humility man! Worth more than gold ;-)
I really like the Foo Fighters but sometimes I wish we could hear the perspective and other stories from the rest of the band. Not just Dave.
Interviewer is beautiful...wowzers.
Foo Fighters is one of the best rock bands ever! Hope to see them in concert someday or maybe meet them 😍🙌 #rockstillalive love u guys!
Theres a concert at 02 arena September 19 if interested?
Yes thank you! I'll check the tickets online. Hope to go! #fingerscrossed
What was the point in the rest of them being there? They all looked SO annoyed to be there.
I thought that too LOL and I never really noticed them acting that way before not to this extent anyway. Nate and Chris never speak very much anyway but still....their mannerisms said it all. tension in the band? mmm...maybe but I hope not.

Good point! They are probably tired of doing it so many times everyday.
I thought the same thing. Ego man doesn't let them talk and bad interviewer who won't ask the rest of the band questions. But hey it's all about the money. I'd just sit there as well if I was being paid good. Talk away Dave Talk away!
I am so excited for the new album. Already enjoying the two singles released
I saw them 2 weeks ago in Singapore and they instantly became my favorite band of all time. I'm 43, I grew up listening to Dave playing drums for Nirvana. Dolores Reeves you might like Queens of the Stone Age. Dave Grohl drummed on their 2002 hit album 'songs for the deaf' and also their sort-of recent ...Like Clockwork. They're great
yep I know I have..his side projects are pretty cool too. The devil in Tenacious D always cracked me up
Dolores Reeves I still have to watch that movie. I have zero time thanks to school 👌
We are lucky to have the Foos.
I just watched this again RIP Taylor❤
These Foo Fighters video’s are very inspiring to me!!!!!
Not sure but have any of you tried to interview a band with everybody speaking? Especially if the interview is short? It's a manheim!!!! So they usually designate one to talk on behalf of the others. Thanks for your input Pat
Curt Brooks pat just smiles. And plays guitar at shows and on records. That’s his role in the band.
I have those volcom swim shorts , dam those are old. Might wear them
Great to hear all members of the band at last.
I lived in LA for a while. Not only did nobody ever ask me how my day was, most folks would say "what do you want?" whenever you said hello to them in passing....if they said anything at all.
Foo Fighters...great band...great songs...active ideas.
Taylor had serious ADHD lol
he's like "somebody give me drumsticks, dammit" hah
It's a drummer thing honestly lol
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder marked by an ongoing pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning or development.
Joking as far as I know
That’s exactly what I thought watching it. Sticks....PLEASE
AMAAAAZING

Everyone just looks at Dave to answer all the questions. Gosh.
they´re aweson
Ja! I love how only David speaks
Also love Taylor's simplicity! Love FOO FIGHTERS
Who's David?
@@punkndisorderly3324 Dave Grohl Foo Fighters Front man
The dave grohl interview surrounded by his workmates
Oh wow, all 20 of them!!!!
I dig the non-rockstar attitudes, and how much all of them are still huge fans of music
Dave is looking more and more like the Eastbound and Down guy every day
I found the Foos because of The Struts! Both are great bands.
Can Dave get any cooler, now he's wearing Vans. Superb.
taylor is like not these same three stories again and again...
I hate when only the lead singer talks for the band during interviews ugh. There's like so many other dudes there and he spoke the whole time..... I love the band but jeez
vanessa nunez the drummer guy looks like he is way too hight to answer anything 😂
You're no doubt bang on with that thought, but you'd think they'd at least leave in a discussion about Rami becoming an official member, assuming they even talked about it.....
Love Dave. He grew up not far from me. But I agree, let all the guys talk.
well they could have just chimed in. also theres a reason that he is the frontman
I think the people commenting on this video are probably more annoyed about him talking the whole time than the other guys in the band were. Just saying.
Foo Fighters are back with a new album! The world is just a bit better now
Dave and his men know some 'psychology' behind how to 'articulate' and project themselves..which is doing it exactly this way - like unrehearsed and Unpredictable - real men in Rock ! :)
"Is someone getting Tibet, Tibet, Tibet of you?"
What if I said I'm not like the otters?
What if I said I'm not just another Juan?
laughed hard at this...lol...thanks
I'm not saying anything other than, Taylor, you Rock!
let all the foo's talk!
I can't believe everyone except Dave went to the interview to sit in silence
Okay I'm sorry but that oldish man at 4:31 has me smiling from ear to ear! adorable!
yes dave she is crazy
Rip Taylor Hawkins from Australia we miss you.
I get the feeling Dave was the only one who could piece together what she was saying through her thick accent.
I know he was lol I definitely had trouble
Her accent is not thick at all??
Taylor looks like he just got back from surfing.
He probably did knowing them and LA
Anyone else notice that this is where they shot the video for "The Sky is a Neighborhood"??
3:44 through me right back to high school.
imagine being one of the best rock dryet your frontman is better ! jj both amazing guys and a great awesome band. Rock and roll exists today only thanks to them

Ik it's might be weird but i was kinna astonished when i realize that dave grohl and I had the same vans
BBC radio needs to do a one hour sit down with pat smear get some stories from the legend!!!
An interview with Dave grohl maybe??
So is Taylor Hawkins ok or is it just me?!?
Looks either super pissed off or super needs a fix...
he's always like that on most of his interviews.. I think he's superactive, and maybe his mind is always running. At some point in this interview you can actually see him coming up with a drumline for a song and tapping with his foot & hand.
He's a drummer. A lot of drummers are fidgety - it's one of the reasons they play drums to begin with.
+Moe Mokhtar do you mean hyperactive?
Yes, exactly! I know about the fidgety-ness and hyperactivity because I'm a drummer myself, and I'm like that most of the time too, so I relate to him soo much!
Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters.
Hey... Uh... Taylor.... You good bro?
Digging Daves cycle zombies tee
Pippen❤
She sounds like MTV's "Down Town Julie Brown"
did the sound man died?
Pretty bad questions.. Dave Grohl saves this interview with his chatty personality.
Taylor: He was trying to have dinner man lol
Why did the other guys show up?
Wow she is just as hot like foofighters are a awsome band 🙏🏻🤘🏻😎😎
DAVE GROHL talks life, music and headlining Glastonbury with Clara Amfo
Taylor Hawkins is a living breathing character from a Quentin Tarentino movie that has not yet been made.
She has amazing skin 😋
You can tell Taylor fine want to make a record do soon and be on the road.
Dave likes to talk. The other guys, not so much. But, nobody ever said let there be talk.
Seeing him in Nirvana interviews, you would never think he would be so talkative
never thought id see macy gray interview the foo's
haha didn't she die LOL j/k
Dave's a fucking legend and I love him but he probably should have let the others speak
Taylor is on the nod
Tayler looks like he can care less to be there, when she asks him a question dave glances to the side like oh what is he gonna say, is his handler off camera
lol Taylor can not stop moving
Dave Ghrol and Taylor Hawkins talk life, music and headlining glastonbury with Clara Amfo.....
Focus that panning camera holy shit

Do the rest of the Foo's ever really get to have any input at all in these interviews? Who's the dude on Taylors left?
I wish the other guys would stf up and let Dave speak for gods sake
taylor is literally always in a bathing suit lol
Taylor is okay lol drummers understand
Wolf right dude. It’s morning, same old questions, just got tour itinerary, other sh** on his mind etc...
Dave, just let the other guys go to the beach already, whilst you jabber on!
I feel bad for Dave because he has to explain in every single interview how there are other people on the record
Rip Taylor.
What is the point of all of them being there when Dave does all the talking?
whos the guy next to Taylor?
Rami Jaffe - keyboardist on the new album. He's lowkey been playing with them for years, but apparently now he's an official member of the band.
Annie Oddo thats cool
Almost fell Dave trying so hard not to swear
I think taylor needs help
He is on the edge
I know because ive been there before
I hope im wrong and hes ok
You were right
El resto de la banda parece maqueta de adorno jajajajj
Whats the go with Taylor? looks like he is coming down off something? I hope he is alright Dave was watching him like a HAWK when he was speaking....
Taylor is me trying to find a comfortable position
Taylor looks like me when bae asks me to married her.
Errr... is Taylor ok?
poor band, they didn't get to talk at all just dave and clearly Taylor is having a serious adhd moment hahah
interviewer is cute AF
Taylor always looks pissed
To be honest, this interviewer did a really bad job of getting everyone in the band involved with this interview. She just kept staring at Dave like he was the only person in the room. I get it, he's the face of the band and he's fucking amazing, but the rest of the band definitely looks like "why the fuck are we here?" and when they're doing that you're not doing a good job.
Everbody in the band seems so tired of hearing/telling the same ol’ stories over and over again... except Dave :D
Great interview, check us out if you love Alternative Rock music!
