What are your opinions on the decks themselves? If I bought 2 of these starters could I build 2 decent decks out of the cards? I really like games with nice starters to jump in with.
they seem solid but I'm not sure I have enough experience with them yet to give you a confident answer on building decks out of just two starters.
Would be much better then one starter consistency wise (the starters have too many one copy and two copy cards)
They won't be optimal for comp in any way, but the decks are very inconsistent.
Any idea why the starter decks don't have a holographic stamp on them? (I thought the cards were fake when i first opened mine)
I'm not sure the rhyme or reason behind which cards get the little hologram. many of the cards i've pulled from boosters don't have it either.
As much as i love seeing star wars card games, and this one looks good (aside from the art direction), im not investing. Just having Destiny flashbacks.
yeah. We actually talked to the head of Asmodee NA and he mentioned how his default position on this game was "NO." and then the team pitching it convinced him. And then they were aware out of the gate that everyone would have all these negative feelings due to things like Destiny, and they just had to move forward and show with their actions that this was different, and so far from what I've seen/experienced with this game that absolutely seems to be the case. But of course we'll only be able to tell after the game has been out for a while.
Just a suggestion if you’re going to do a unboxing actually showing the cards and not shuffling through them would be appreciated; Especially the cards that are new and then actually read abilities on those cards. Unfortunately this will be only video I watch of yours, good luck
Thanks for the feedback! FWIW none of these cards are first-looks and can all be found on the official Star Wars Unlimited website or swudb which is why we didn't linger on each card

a lot of us were iffy at first but it grows on you. I love 90% of the art. and like 10% is pretty weird.
I find it refreshing to have a new art style (same with Shatterpoint) after having the same catalog of (admittedly phenomenal) art in Star Wars games since 2012.
