I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is August 6, 2023. Galatians 5:13-26 was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "Inheriting the Kingdom."

He said “Salvation is not fruitless faith”. THAT is adding works to the simple salvation message of God’s wonderful grace. Fruitless faith? I thought being saved was simply turning from what you believe in, to believing in the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. What is fruitless faith Sir? Adding works to salvation? Run from this fast.

Faith without works is dead? James 2:14-26. www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/do-paul-james-disagree-on-justification-by-faith-alone/

@@chrisirvin8012 Faith without 'works' is a useless faith but the believer is still saved......man-made religion = faith PLUS....Bible is faith ALONE

I would encourage you to read James 2:14-26 and 1 Peter 1:17. A True faith produces fruit. Fruit is the very proof of faith. Our deeds are the proof of faith. Not that we are saved by them but they are an evidence of salvation.
