Ive never been pregnant, but I’m a nutritionist and have a bachelors degree in Molecular biology, so I have a few suggestions that might help.
The reason you haven’t had swelling or water retention is because of all the lemon water you have been drinking. Lemon is a mild diuretic and the reason you retain water during pregnancy is your body’s way of staying hydrated and not giving up excess water in case you need it. Also you blood circulation and lymphatic drainage slows during pregnancy, resulting in the swelling.
So the more water and lemon juice you drink throughout your pregnancy will help reduce swelling.
To reduce your feet swelling you can use compression socks. They help circulation. Acupuncture is very good for circulation, as well as exercise (walking/stretching).
The reason you also have swelling is because your blood circulation slows down during pregnancy, so anything that helps circulation will reduce swelling. Massages and dry brushing are amazing at keeping circulation going and the dry brushing helps with toning skin and preventing cellulite and stretch marks. Anything that helps with drainage of your lymphatic system will also help. If it’s oral things, check first if it’s safe to take while pregnant, but cucumbers and lemons are good and safe.

I'm having REALLY severe swelling in my feet, ankles, and legs and I know it's normal to have swelling when you're pregnant, but this is on a whole different level.
I don't know why I didn't think of the lemon thing, I knew about that but it didn't cross my mind when this swelling got crazy (kind of out of nowhere all of a sudden) yesterday. I'm going to get lemons... immediately lol.
I'll try ANYTHING, this is the most annoying thing ever. Been laying w/ my feet up and drinking tons of water and it's just not really getting better at all so I'm going to try the lemon water and dry brushing thing.
🙄 There's no solution for cellulite. It has to do with the shape that fat cells make. Also stretch mark cures are mostly bs and it has everything to do with genetics.

YES! I lived in Aligns throughout my entire pregnancy. I treated myself to a fresh pair in my old size after baby too. I think we’ve earned it!

Those align pants are the best! I did the same and sized up two sizes ( I’m 22 weeks with my 2nd) .. I think you be thankful near the end and after the baby. You’ll want to be comfortable after he comes too! So worth it!

Those sleep style bras were great for me while nursing. Theyre so comfortable and stretchy, it was easy to pull down and nurse with. I also loved the soft t shirt style bras with no underwire , for pregnancy and while nursing too. They have them at target or Walmart even, and I wore those things OUT haha, but they actually held up so well.. I still have them and they made it through 2 pregnancies and nursing two babies. They wash and hold their shape so easily. I definitely reccommend getting a couple bc they do have some light padding to give you shape so you can wear them out or just around the house , so comfy!
Can’t wait for the how to dress the bump video! I didn’t know headaches were so common I’m glad you said that because I’ve been getting HORRIBLE migraines. Which I have had in the past, but being pregnant, it just knocks me off my feet 😑 every time you make a pregnancy must have video, I feel like I buy at least 3 things 😂

You’re videos are always the best! I have a dupe for the yeti cup!! It’s called the Ozark Trail tumbler cup! They are $10 at walmart! Literally the same thing, I’m in NC and our summers can get pretty ridiculous and this cup saved me! You can also go on amazon and Etsy to get your monogram vinyl sticker for around $5-$10!! It’s so cool!

My biggest lifesaver during my third trimester was a pregnancy belt! It cradles your belly and helps relieve back and hip pain. I wore mine all the time at work and at home when I was cleaning or cooking dinner.
I need to go check out that nursing bra you recommend ! I bought mine at Target and the quality is hit or miss!
Also - GURL - for dry lips during pregnancy, you NEED the lip balm from my 2017 beauty favorites! It is lip-changing! literally hydrates my lips and they are transformed within a few hours! 🙌🏻

True&Co True Body Scoop Neck bra is THE MOST comfortable bra ever. I have been wearing it my whole pregnancy. No underwire. Shoulder straps are so soft, but wouldn’t with with a spaghetti strap top. I now wear them every day whether at work or home.

Alex-just FYI; the “not showing very much” first trimester is true for first baby. You will show first trimester with second baby, expecting baby #2 and had to go straight to maternity pants after 2 months.

The other bra that the lady recommended is also for nursing. There is no clips but you slide it over when nursing. I LOVE it for when I’m sleeping after having a baby because you need a pad when sleeping. So you need the bra to keep the pad in.

My favorite Lip Ball is the Kopari Lip Love it’s so so moisturizing! And when it wears off you don’t feel like you need to apply more immediately
I like that one too and keep it in my purse bc it’s easier to use on the go but ya agree it doesn’t last as long it’s a thinner formula

Love the video Alex! I used the boppy pillow all the time in my pregnancy! It also has been good because my little boy has had bad reflux and we used it to support and incline him while he is sleeping. We would put it under his dock a tot at night! Keep staying beautiful!

Fun video! Just quick educational tidbit a lot of women aren't aware that the most important time to start prenatal vitamins is BEFORE getting pregnant. The biggest benefit are during those 1st couple of weeks before you realize or test positive for pregnancy. They do great things such as providing folic acid and decreasing birth defects.

Careful with the rose oil! Rose can induce labor, but also help with contractions while in actual labor. One of the estheticians at my job was telling me to be careful with pregnant women and rose products. I do love drunk elephants marula oil!!
