- In today's video I will show you guys how to remove the wiper arms and cowl panels on your old 67-72 Chevy and GMC trucks. One of the main killers of these cabs are when the cowl gets packed full of debris and begins to rust out. If you don't clean them out every once in a while or install a debris or trash guard you could have real problems. A little maintenance can help your old C10 survive another 50 years!

Very helpful- about to tackle this on my old Suburban. Thanks
Awesome! Glad it could help out. Enjoy that Suburban! Thanks for watching!
Add screen mesh behind cowl panel
Good tip! Much cheaper than the trash shield.
You find tricks that work my working on them
Exactly I put one on my 72’ Cheyenne 👍👍👍
Also if you do find a cowl without Antenna Hole that’s fine . Just get an internal Antenna 👍
@@jimmysapien9961 much cleaner look that way.
Brothers sells a solid wiper vent panel ! Thinking of putting one on my 68 C10 !
Thanks so much for your videos. I just bought a 67. I notice the hood on mine is higher in the center at the cowl (like it bows compared to the cowl). The truck next to you in the intro almost looks the same, but it may just be the angle. Is that factory/normal, or is something wrong with the hood? It seems like it would be even with cowl.
It’s pretty common for the hood hinge bushings to get a lot of slop in them over the years. One side may be worse than the other. It’s hard to see it with the spring on. If you can push down on the back of the hood and it aligns better with the cowl, that’s a pretty good indicator you need a new hinge. I hope that made sense.
@@ItsTheChad71 Thanks so much. It makes sense. I think either my hood or cowl is off on this one. The hood corners/edges at the hinges align with the fenders well, yet the center of the hood is elevated, almost like an aftermarket cowl hood, but it’s an original style.
I live in Topeka ks and need some parts for my 67 c10. Do you sell parts? How close are you to Topeka?
I’m close to Wichita. Feel free to email me and let me know what you’re looking for. Email is in my profile. Thx
Will a 69 c30 cab fit a 68 c10
Yes it will fit. There will be some differences though. Fuse panel is mounted differently, E brake was a handle under column vs foot in 69 and a few other small things.
For God's sake, don't scuff that driver's fender
It’s just getting broke in!
