😢 sad for the previous owner to allow the Magnum PI estate to rot and a smart real estate investor purchased the property for half price, built 3 new homes on that property and turned it into an amazing property for 3 families, but sad for us Magnum PI fans
In the early 1980's I was on the property next door to the Robin's Nest on the other side of the boathouse. This is where I met Tom Selleck and John Hillerman and they were filming "Foiled Again". I happen to see T.C's helicopter and his bus parked along the side of the road so I stopped and watched the filming for a couple of days and also met actors Dana Winters and Paxton Whitehead, was a great time and fun and memories ❤️
All these years and not one wealthy person stepped up to buy the estate and modernize it. Sure, the tourists/fans would be a nuisance but still would've been cool. Better yet, hgtv should have bought it and turned it into a weekly rental and or museum, like they did with the Brady Bunch house. Recreate the interior to match the show. But unfortunately it went to the fruit and his first man. 😒
Totally agree but the house was in a total state disrepair the roof and beams were all rotten it was cheaper to knock it down. I'm glad I got to see it many years ago.
@@alohapoppet6107 The restoration costs would've been chicken feed money to hgtv. They would've made that money back within a few months as a museum and/or a weekly rental. This estate is known the world over and fans would have flocked to it by the hundreds of thousands. Put the Ferrari, TC's Island Hopper Chopper and Minivan on the premises and you have a very cool tourist destination. 🏖😎
I think it would have been amazing to rebuild the the estate and keep it and maintain the beautiful property, but common sense prevails with the strong SAD fact that the property is where all the value is. Property in Hawaii is NOT in excess so they destroyed Robin's Nest and built 3 new homes there. It's located in Waimanolo Hawaii 🌟
Pahonu should have been a listed building now its gone forever and the buildings that have taken its place are ugly. Very little of the old gardens are left behind. The site is over developed with just the boathouse left behind as a reminder of its former glory as a set for Hawaii five O and Magnum P.I. Aloha.
Negligence should be unlawful when it comes to a treasured landmark such as this amazing estate. These freaks should have never had the chance to buy this place! Absolutely defies description how this place was left to deteriorate.
I heard security is going to be a nightmare when Obama moves in and it will have the best security system that money can buy. All beaches are public land and that that includes the tilde pool He can not stop people using that part of the beach.
Extra security?? Who on earth would want to go anywhere near this largely unrecognizable place now that this ahole and his first tranny are there!! I now have zero interest in ever seeing this place and I'm sure thousands feel the same. This jackass has ruined what was a great tourist destination. Too bad the freaks didn't take a liking to the Brady Bunch house, most could care less about that place.

Sadly it was in a bad state of disrepair it had to be torn down the house was falling apart.
