Decorating an elegant dining room doesn't have to be expensive! Here, I refresh my space with antique and vintage finds from Goodwill, thrift stores, estate sales, and yard sales! I also show how to easily recover a dining room chair!

Wow I can't tell you how much you are helping me, through your videos, I'm so excited, I've been pretty depressed for a long time now and I feel my creativity and deep love of design and how I have gotten great pieces at garage sales and estate sales, mostly small things, but my grandmother and mom have given me wonderful family pieces and I dream about them everyday, but they are in storage😢 and I do have a couple of pieces here at the house and lace and table cloths and these to beautiful medium size candelabras!!!! I'm 59 and my husband is 70 I have been on and off very sick with cancer and have found myself feeling like I can't accomplish very much at all, even cleaning or cooking and grooming, I think you get the picture. I have this deep desire to design and get our pieces from our storage, and from the basement and around the house, I truly miss them like old friends and literally long for them, its my past and now and our future too!!!! I needed this spark, thank you from the bottom of my heart💞

I love that you 'shop' in your own home for accessories. I do that and always find great things to re-purpose a new way or a new location! Forget the meaningless buying new things. Vintage or used is the way to go.

When I upholster chairs , I take the black cover from underneath off carefully so I can put it back on after I recover the chairs . I love the fabric you chose .
Exactly, we did that with a footstool that my husband and I re-upholstered, it looks cleaner and very professional.

The blue fabric is beautiful on your dining chairs. I just recovered the cushion on my hope chest. It was in great shape, but just looked too dated (45 years old). It was so easy and looks fantastic - so fresh and new. I have the good fortune to live near an upholstery shop. They sell remnants and end pieces for next to nothing. I have some gorgeous upholstery fabric that you have inspired me to use to cover my dining room chairs.

I have this great love for cherubs too! I was really surprised to see the blue foo dog, I have one that is around 18 inches tall and is stored away, it seems I can't quite find the right place to display it. Love where you have yours.That dress is so cute.

It’s beautiful! I love blue and white, I use it in several of my rooms. Ask your mom if she thinks you could put a large size “ Dixie” cup in the Waze she glued together. That way you could set the cup inside the vase, add water to it and then a few flowers! Just a thought. Your home is gorgeous, inviting and ever so interesting. Great job! 😘

I did recover a vintage chair for my desk and then a chair that I have had 52 years. Both turned out pretty and I was glad I got brave enough to do them. Yours turned out nice also.
