This was one of the best fishing videos i have watched in a while. This american pov on our European fishing was really interesting and i would love to see more like this.
I really like how their keeping track of score/length! Immediately releasing the fish after measurements is absolutely the right way to do it! Bass fishing tournaments here in the US needs to take some note!!! Kayak tournaments do something similar. I'm not a fan of bass tournaments taking fish to weigh ins at all! Stealing the fish from it's habitat exspecialy during spawning is horrible for future of bass populations! They should be measured, weighed then released in same area!!!

I agree, but weighing on boats also causes problems. Scales are all slightly different, and are only zeroed in the morning. You have a hundred scales, and I guarantee some of them are off. Officials often don’t let it settle enough before calling the weight, little things.
The biggest thing American tournaments gotta stop doing is having comps while bass are bedded. That’s destroying more fish than live wells are.
@@Stonehornmost definitely! If they stopped tourneys during the month or two they are spawning the population would see an increase within five years guaranteed.

Great performance and adaptations to our European species! I loved to see you get genuinely excited about the perch and Zander! You should come back to the Netherlands in winter and try to catch the real big ones, that’s the season to catch 6-8 pound perch and Dustin happens to know all the right places.

Loved this video its like you came up north in Connecticut but on a way bigger scale! I've never seen a yellow perch that big! I never caught one only white perch

This summer has been absolutely amazing for me! I'm not a tournament angler. But I fish couple days a week in my kayak all year long. So far this summer if caught a 9lb 3oz, a 8.6, a 7.8, a 6.1, a 5.10, a 5.8, & multiple 4's. All is past 6ish weeks. Big swimbaits mostly & some big worms & a little friggin in the mornings has caught me bunch of monster this year. If course every one of them was released in good condition. I got quick measurements of length, girth, weight & picture. Then they all went straight back where they came from. I've found few good Honey holes for sure!

@@Zaldaingerous I've been kayak fishing for just over 9 years now. Always had nice pedal drive Hobie kayaks, currently PA12-360. The tournament scene hasn't ever been my thing but I love being out on water fishing. I've really gained a lot confidence with big baits past few years. I'm originally born & raised in southwest Ohio just north of Cincinnati. I moved to southern SC 2 years ago. Bass fishing has been sooo much better!

There are some smallmouth in Europe - I don’t know how well they’ve held on. There are largemouth too in some areas of Europe
@@Zaldaingerous we unfortunately don't have any smallmouth in EU. We can't import them as they are not native. But largemouth have been introduced from US mainly by GI's during the 2nd world war and went well in South of Europe. It's now legaly considered as part of our EU species because they are there since a few decades and we can breed them and stock them. Just missing some Florida strength to make them ''texas size''... ;-)

Too much... between 20% VAT, carriage and import taxes, they are 40% more expensive than in the US. But when we love we don't count !
