    Me personally, like the style. I remember when 2014 changed to the 2015 people did not like the refresh. Calling it plain and not as muscular. Now people love this design. The 2025 model is more closely related to the 1969/1970 model than the current model. As owner of 2015 Charger RT and 2018 Scatpack, I always said Dodge really needs a refresh on the Charger to stay current in the market. It does need a 100% upgrade. Everyone has their opinion but I like the change

    Hello RUBIX_3. I'm a long retired designer and I was the studio head that was responsible for the 2008 Challenger. I retired before the Challenger made it to the dealer showrooms. I knew Ralph Gilles, the current head of design, and he was a big fan of the '68-'70 Charger (and he owns one). He patterned the design after that car. It isn't a literal copy of it, but It most certainly has the design DNA of that model!
    You may find the design disappointing in pictures, but I'd wait to see it in person before deciding.

    I like the style, mostly of the pics of the 4 door ones ive seen. Cars are designed for the long haul, everyone reacts real quick, always hating on new designs, you have to see it for a while, see it in the world, see it modified. not sure what people are saying they cant tell what car it would be, its clearly a charger, the tail end alone

    • @ircleofwinners7365
      @ircleofwinners7365 Před 3 měsíci +2

  • @TomazHilton
    @TomazHilton Před 3 měsíci +1

    The cars are wider than the widebodies out now. In the rear they wear 325s in the back and will have the biggest brakes the company ever put on a product.

  • @TomazHilton
    @TomazHilton Před 3 měsíci +1

    The 66 isn’t a hatch back (looks like it) but it’s a fastback and has full width tail lamps (which new charger has). It has the same unibrow (what I called it) front fascia that emulates the 68 Charger . Both have its headlamps hidden in a way. The front LED emulates chrome trim on the 68 models. The front split where the dodge logo is located is found on the 68 Chargers. 68-70 Chargers body profile was dubbed the “coke bottle” just as the Challenger was dubbed the “Wedge”. There’s a smooth drop in the body line from the rear to the A pillar that gives off a coke bottle shape. As said it has the 66-67 models Fastback design but the profile of the C pillar is closest to the 68. So the the New Charger has more retro feel than the last chargers.

    That back is fire. They don't need to mess with that part anymore. It's the front. The front doesn't look aggressive like the concept did. It's too narrow. Go back and look at the concept. The front is wide and makes it look more aggressive

      Yeah that engine will be very tunealble but it's all about sound to perceived mass with me. I feel like the mid-size cars like the supra 350z ect should possess the V6 I6 raspy buzz and I feel like big cars. fat wide body cars should possess that V8 grumble and rumble ya feel me?

    And you gotta consider 2fam.( I know u know)This company is not the original Dodge company from the 70s. This isn't even an American company that owns Dodge. so they don't have the care or conviction to dig deep in the archives in resurrect old vintage styling.They just don't.😪 this Situation is like the Movies when the new step-dad or step-mom enters and he or she doesn't want anything to remind them of the old bloodline DNA. 😂 you mention Toyota Ford Chevy able to transcend their styling gracefully from every version. Well because they never Sold Out. Always been the same company. Simple as that fam. Sad but true

    I like the body design and as far IMO them not putting a badge on it is most manufactures follow what people do to their previous cars so owners would debadge them so the dealers did the same..same as back in the day with clear taillights ..all of a sudden you was buying cars from the dealership with clear lenses..they watch what people do and try to mimic that and it's a selling point because you don't have to go out and do it ita basically a turn key ..now truthfully I'd prefer an engine ..and would buy an inline 6 ..but I will wanna test this drive this one ..and remember when you see things in person it might grow on you or you could hate it ..

    Though it doesn't look like a retro charger you can definitely tell that it's a Dodge Charger or a Mopar. Fam. Exhibit 1=That back end look just like the 2ndGen back Brake lights.Honestly. Look at em. And they keep the headlights recessed. just like they've always been since the 60's. But you have to think this version is the first year version. Each year they're gonna start giving us more cuts in the bumper. Spoon feed us how it was intended to look originally 3 versions from now.

    It’s funny to me that so many people are in denial that the V8 is in it’s end phase. This car if it has the stated specs will kill a 170 in straight line performance.
    The only issue is the back of the new Charger is not elongated as the car it is a reference to. Good video

    Some of the best versions of the Mustang was the amount of customization to the body ie a 1969 body kit for a S550 car. If an aftermarket worked to design a 1971 Charger’s body to fit the 2025’s EV? Or even a Daytona version wing an all?

    I just left the Dodge dealership getting an oil change. Anyone who bought the last call like me. Your car is useless. They have 2024-25 V8'S that will be on their lots in the next 3 to 6 months. The V8 will be the SRT Daytona. No more scat packs or hellcats. The SRT Daytona is the equivalent to a hellcat or above. There hasn't been too much more information given out but that's what the saleswoman told me. But here's what I will say if the 24/25 V8 models look like the car picture. I'm just going to stick with my last call edition.
