The aesthetic choice of having the shadow being a vicious monster and then a grasping hand was really cool. It didn’t have to be there, but it made the whole thing so much better.
Straight up Evil Dead vibes. It is Sam Raimi, after all.
This scene will always give me chills. The memories replaying, the music, the symbiote slowly consuming his body. Just an awesome transformation moment.

I love how this scene not just shows the Symbiote taking over, but how it symbolizes Peter's hatred and vengeance towards Sandman is consuming him. Great writing.
The Symbiote just attracted to Peter's feelings about hatred of the men who killed Uncle Ben
That's the whole general idea for this. The film introduces Sandman and sets up that he killed Uncle Ben, Peter feels anger and as Venom slowly creeps up and takes over, then while Spidey wears the black Suit, he becomes a total jerk to everyone and as Spidey becomes more violent, even dong something that might have killed Sandman, eventually Peter realizes what he's become and going to the church he rings the bell and causes Venom to slowly drip off of him. Meanwhile at the right timing Eddie Brock is there right below him, praying to God for a way to kill Spidey, then like a gift from the Devil, as Peter is cleansed of his "sin" Eddie takes it on and becomes Venom. I know Spiderman 3 gets alot of shit, but I enjoyed the ideas of it. Each villain served a purpose for Spidey's sorry, he thinks Sandman killed Uncle Ben and becomes blinded with vengeance, eventually Sandman and Venom team up, meanwhile Harry is still consumed by his need of vengeance on Peter for Norman's death and tris to kill Peter, eventually when he learned the truth he decides to help Peter, just wish he would have shown up sooner so we could have Spidey and Harry take on Venom and Sandman. Hen Eddie get humiliated by Peter, and after Peter gets rid of the Black Suit, Eddie becomes Venom, Venom is symbolic of human hatred, it's first attacked o Peter because of his feelings of vengeance, then to Addie Brock for his vengeance on Peter. If the writing and fights were better, this could have been the best Spiderman movie.
And Raimi’s hatred of having to squeeze Venom in this movie.

This is symbolic because Venom begins to bond with Peter at the moment in his dream where he sees Sandman killing his uncle and that is moment of thinking of revenge

The suit is so neat soft and designed
Spiderman 3 was my most hyped up movie back when I was a kid. Venom was my favorite Spiderman villain and seeing how Peter was gonna deal with him had me excited. I still really think they should have focused ONLY on Venom and the symbiote.
They should have saved it for the 4th movie but people behind the scenes were pushing sam raimi to add venom

I like it too, but I think it would've been better if they saved Eddie and Venom for Spiderman 4 while the third movie should've focused on Sandman, Harry, and Peter with the Venom suit.

If Peter had been able to control Venom like Flash Thompson was able to do in "Ultimate Spider-Man" animated series, he would have never dumped off the suit
The Venom Symbiote in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics the show was based on was created in a lab, but also could be reprogrammed not unlike a machine. That adaptation of the black suit did 0 justice to the Ultimate Spider-Man comics and I'd recommend reading them as the origin of the suit is alot deeper and meaningful than in the show
