"Joe Swift Interview" The Martial Truth Podcast #73 Michael Calandra

Joe Swift, a native of Van Etten, NY, USA, currently lives in and works in Tokyo, Japan. He is a practicing martial artist, as well as a Karate historian. He teaches Karate and Kobudo in Tokyo. His translations and articles have appeared in several major and international martial arts publications and web based resources. He is a long time member of the International Ryukyu Karate Research Society under Patrick McCarthy, where he has been inducted into the annual honor roll several times for his research and translations. He also serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the All Japan Ryukyu Kobudo Federation, whose goal is topreserve and promote the weaponry skills of Okinawan martial arts.
