Honestly thank you, I've been debating the 2.0L just for commuting. And I've only seen negative reviews. Thank you again for this. Best review so far. Great job

It’s a great car! I’m at 300whp on mine with very little mods. Catless downpipe makes the turbo sound amazing and torque is very good. Draws attention and with lowering springs looks super aggressive. Overall 9/10 imo in price range

The 2.0 Supra is still a beast, people give it a lot of shit but in reality it will smoke a Civic Type R, Elantra N, WRX, Golf R, Ecoboost Mustang Performance pack and almost be able to keep up with V8 while weighing hundreds of pounds less. I got a 230i, practically a slightly heavier 2.0 Supra, and it rocks. It is just idiots on the internet trying to shame the smaller displacement engine. Having a lighter nose on the car helps with handling and the stock power gets you a 0-60 in 5 seconds so it is still plenty quick. You won’t be missing out on performance as much as others will lead you to believe.

@@postalpancho but the reality is that 300hp is really the max power the b48 can handle which is decent but the 3.0 is basically like the JDM equivalent of a Hellcat and can easily tune up to 500hp at the wheels for around $1k in mods, the 2 cars are really just not comparable and shouldn’t be. 2.0 is a decently quick car but simply not fast by any means. A 2024 Chevy Silverado truck does 0-60 in 5.4 sec, so is 5 sec in a light sports car actually quick? Sorry but it’s just not unless you tune it, which again is very limited.

I have 20000 miles on my 2.0. With a JB4 pushing what I’m guessing 20 pounds of boost. I love it and it’s running great!

I just purchased to 2.0 with some extras, e.g., sound system upgrade. I LOVE THIS CAR! So much fun and more than enough power. This is a great review. Any addtional questions can be sent and I'll answer. I saw a man who is 7' tall and got in and out easily.

How does it feel in a straight line?
Super confused cos the new Mustang GT comes in the same price with 480 horses.
Know these are completely different vehicles but just wanted to know how it feels, specially at high speeds.

Its like a larger MX-5 RF sipping fuel and balanced. I'll take a black Supra 2.0 any day. Just slap on a small set of wheel spacers and the window wind buffer mod. Nice video.

  • @mrblackbond

I just test drove this car (2.0) yesterday and most all of the complaints about this car were not valid. I'm 5'8 and I fit inside with no problem. Visibility was a non issue for me (except the blind spot , but the car I drove came equipped with BSM so no problem). I could see the screen perfectly fine. I got into the car perfectly fine. Getting out was a tiny struggle but Im sure most would overcome that with a few days or weeks or owning it. I LOVED the car. I had no clue the 2.0 had cracks and burbles when driving in sport mode. The shifts are very snappy and responsive. The throttle was very responsive in sport mode as well. I seriously might considering buying the 2.0 over the 3.0. It had plenty of power for what I would use day-to-day. I used to own an 18' mustang GT which had 460 hp and 420 tq and though it was a LOT of fun....I drive a much longer commute into work everyday and I dont often get to drive that fast so Id be okay with the 2 liter.

Chris I have put 11,000 miles on the 2.0 in 10 months. It is my daily driver. I'm 6'2" and getting in and out take about 30 seconds of practice. Once in, there is enough room to be very comfortable. It is not a Camry, so some compromises are to be expected. It makes driving a joy and an event every day. The power is more than enough and more than 99% of drivers can realistically handle (especially when canyon carving with 1,000 foot drop offs!). The bonus is it gets close to 40MPG on long highway trips.

@@realitycheck469 hell yeah!! The only things i don’t like about the 2.0 is the stock wheels/brakes (but those can be changed) and the sound (also can be modified with aftermarket exhaust).

As we only have these for a week we can’t and don’t report on longevity in our reviews. What we do talk about are the things we experienced while we had it. Things consumers would want to know in an era when they can’t just go drive one because their dealer’s lot is empty.

    • @realitycheck469

Fake news. The B48 engine variant in the Supra is rock solid and does not “fail”, whatever that means.
