Just reading your comment made me feel how happy you are! Thanks for sharing! God bless you!
How happy I am that you are happy.😊
I don’t know much about the host but it was sad to hear him put himself down. You seem to have accomplished a lot. Be proud!
He wants to be a super achiever"...its his own fault. Also trying to give adice on "high performance"...whatever that is when not heeding his own advice.Too busy trying to "prove himself and show off basically...look how much money I make, look how many companies I run...look at me ..one of the worst dis-eases of the modern day.
He should know better, hes the ones doing these podcasts talking to those who have burnt out etc or suffered from overachieving for not "feeling good enough".He can afford therapy whilst many can't...hes doing fine.
Hes basically caught in the trying to keep up with ....not a good example

It's not just the host... lots of workoholics, billionaires, top politicians, top celebrities, CEOs and super-achievers that you see around the world are traumatized. That's why they need to achieve so much more than normal people to not feel bad about themselves.

Stress AND anxiety is the worst! Anxiety makes you eat and the stress holds onto the fat! 😫
Yeah, I think you may be onto something @richardmiddleton7770 😅 ❤ 🎉
Yes! A doctor told me this in my 20s when I was so stressed yet exercising 5dys a wk to no avail.
I had to make changes ❤
That's likely true. I know many people with brain diseases a lot have nice skin and look younger than most people I know, the video doesn't make sense. I have a relative in hospital right now with a bad brain disorder she's had for many years, no treatment for her, her skin is lovely and she looks well younger than what she is.
That's the cortisol that fight staying in that state that fight in flight fight a flight state
But anytime you're up all night I get so hungry
Ayurvedic practitioner here....
we believe that MOST health issues start from weak or imbalanced digestive fire.
This can then create toxins which slowly get deeper into the tissues if not treated..
These toxins can settle in different areas for different people, so some people may outwardly have good looking skin, yet have issues in other more “unseen” areas.
Skin can be one indicator that digestive fire is effected which according to Ayurveda DOES also effect the ability to digest and process emotions as well as mental clarity.

Thank you for bringing her on your podcast.
It's so nice to hear how she brings the body mind connection together. ❤
She is a very intelligent and radiates beauty inside and out ❤

I wake up often at night and came to realise that the things that bother me require forgiveness.
Her knowledge lines up perfectly with Dr. Joe Dispenza. I’d love to see them talk.
It would be interesting because basically everything she says

The magnitude of maturation from age 18 to 21 might be about the same as from age 3 to 6, but we experience it at far less because it’s just a small part of our collective memories. This includes our functional memory - the repository of those things we do without thinking much about them like driving - and our ability to decide to learn new things.
Wow she is just so cool ! She is a true intellectual eloquently explaining the complexity of the workings of the human body and mind
BEST EXPLAINATION of CORTISOL I've heard yet... now I know why I will wake uo with a feeling of my blood boiling and running around my body while my arms and kegs feel like jelly and so weak and me mentally exhausted 1st thing in morning or after cery stressful ecent in day. His stress life and cortisol running the show... and yes my tummy has expanded bug time.
Cortisol is the main cause of diabetes.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Tara! I could listen to her every day!💯💓🙏
Lets not forget that stress does not only comes from work or daily life. It mainly come s from not having a strong emotional support system. If jm stressed at work and come home to a loving husband or family idgf about stress or work related issues. If im in a fast faced work but come home to a calm home, loving animals or humans lol the my cortisol levels will remain even. But also working more rhan 6 hrs for women is draining bc our. Bodies are not designed to work until failure. We have 4 weeks where each week our hormones change. So this should be taken into account to
Exactly! I felt lost as a young child so my cortisol is still through the roof.

have always wondered why electro music has a very relaxing effect for me! In contrast, improvised music such as jazz makes me very restless. Tara I'm currently reading your book, but this podcast (I've listened to almost all of the ones you've been on) is also very informative.
Thank you, Dr. Swart! This was wonderful. I'll start my action board today!
This stress cortisol conversation is a VERY NECESSARY CONVERSATION because sonmany of us are going thru it daily for years on end.
Hi Dr. Swart, I love your content, and you've helped change my life so much after I experienced my spiritual awakening by "killing" my fragile ego my narcissistic mother created for the past 40 years. It was hell going through this awakening in the first stage for over a year. Now I'm a completely different person. I'm at peace, have confidence, wisdom, and intelligence. I'm at peak intuition. I even know answers to questions I have no knowledge about when I take quizzes online. It can be about history, medical, stoicism etc.. can you do a podcast on the brain when it goes through the spiritual awakening process of killing its ego to the final stages. I'd really appreciate it. Keep up the awesome work. I appreciate you and all your hard work 👏💚
I really enjoyed this discussion and a lot of things hit home! I plan on listening a second time and taking notes!
I had excellent skin until my body mounted a hyper immune response to a bad case of poison ivy months ago - now I have rosacea. I have eaten like you suggest for years if not decades. My hair has also been falling out - telogen effluvium.
I had a bad allergic reaction to poison ivy a few years ago on my arms to the point of scaring, The skin is much thinner in the area. I have started using supplements that support the skin for a few weeks I am starting to see results which is nice. The rest of my skin is also looking better..
Priceless!!! Thank you!!!
It's quite amazing to listen to this with no criticism on the socio-political and ideological structures of capitalism to health - we live in a global society where profit is valued over human and non-human life. This has shaped our cultural, economic and political landscape for generations, we need more discourse on alternative / dialectical structures... more socialism over capitalism.
And so said animal fat is a must for brain health not vegetable oils
Olive oil first cold pressed , but I never knew why...

The way she actually looked at his stomach, I'm dead 😂
What about introverts? Are we destined to have a poor immune systems if we are so evolutionarily predisposed to community? I'm perfectly happy with my own company and rarely feel the need to seek out other people. In fact, they drain me, and I need to recharge after being social. Do I get the emotional connection from my cat rather than humans?
Haha ditto!!
I'm happier alone, I feel less sick, less tired etc.
Man, this Tara lady is a keeper
I work as a support worker and I have seen best hair skin and nails in people who do not have a proper functioning brain. They have intense anxiety and some are bipolar but their skin and hair are very very healthy.
Excellent discussion. I think a lot of people will find this helpful and inspiring. x

It's a perfect system that is adept at keeping people stressed.
If people are honest, one of the biggest fears is not being able to exist completely.
They kid themselves they are worried about finance, but that's merely a part of the true concern about being able to cope with the daily requirements of actually living.
Oh my I love her
Well, living in Ukraine I imagine I will now be forever living a very different life with the unusual experience that war is. Unusual for people who never had that experience.

The 51 minute mark, about the skin, WHOA !!!!!!
Great discussion, but strangely missing theory and practical advice on the nervous system. Although there is so much advancement on these topics and they are widely available, unfortunately, these fields still don't seem to connect in many cases. It's not so much about mental resilience, but nervous system resilience, and they are very different things. We can't will or think our way out of nervous system dysregulation.

"Words Are Weapons "
That's interesting about the PTSD and watching disturbing images. I seem to be able to watch the most horrendous things relating to humans and and able to box it off emotionally. It doesn't reall affect me. However, if I watched something with an animal in distress or being killed, it horrifies me and upsets me. How does that work?

I think people goa a lot of information through nature, animals, people - and not only through newspapers….. years ago…
50:16 you forgot animal fats (colesterol, saturated fat, etc...) were you can find the esencial fatty acids
Most people overconsume unhealthy animal fats, so maybe that's why she skipped on that. Most of us need more plant fats (except for the vegan of course)
@@kateginger I don't know what do you mean for "unhealthy animal fats"...are you talking about: suet, tallow, bone marrow, bone broth, fat trimig, ghee, butter, the associated fat that come with meat and fish...there is not any problem with them, because they are mostly saturated fat, Also: yogur, cheese. They are all very healthy and essential fats for the adequate nutrition of the human been
@@kateginger plants fats = fito - esteroids? They are not very healthy and the bioability of them it's very poor, some of them are poliinsaturated = very unstable = inflammation = free radicals = oxidation stress. They confused the metabolism with the colesterol, that comes from animal fats. Colesterol it's essential for: the brain, the cellular membrane, the production of vitamin d together with nitric oxine, the hormones and much more
Every physical part of my mother is beautiful but she has emotional issues. …

She is a Hindu but Buddhism is a lot similar to Hinduism as Buddha was born and brought as Hindu during his formative years.

I would disagree that one can determine a person's mental state based solely on their appearance, as the spirit transcends materialistic science. Neuroscientists often overlook the influence of quantum mechanics, which plays a crucial role in manifestation.
I disagree!💓 Outward appearance is an indication of internal thoughts!💓
I don't think she said "based solely", so from my understanding, she probably also understands this is a overgeneralisation
From the way you write I can already tell you don't know what quantum mechanics entails.

I generally agree with Dr Tara. However, I believe she is incorrect in saying at 1:55 that reading a full newspaper today would be more information than someone received a hundred years ago. That's simply not true. Let's just talk about the USA... It's clear to anyone who studies history of a hundred+ years ago that, although there were times when only wealthy people received a full education, a hundred years ago in the States, even common people were quite well educated. Most people were literate, and the average student was exposed to philosophy, science, religion, history, and chronology, among other subjects. Not only were they receiving lots of information, but the quality of the information far exceeds that of your average school today. I have copies of secondary school exams from 100-150 years ago that would stump even the most intelligent people today. I find the idea that we're so knowledgeable now as opposed to people centuries ago laughable and dishonest.
I think she is talking about endless supply of content now vs earlier and what it is doing to the brain!

Can't remember who said it, or what study was it, but im pretty sure human kind is addicted stress. And when life goes easier, they tent to find the sttesssors and get restless if nothing stressful is happening in their life
Did you change the name of your channel?
She lost all credibility the moment she linked the rise in the number of Autism diagnoses with screen time. The study showed that increased screen time doesn’t cause Autism, it can however cause increased symptoms. The Autism has to exist in the first place i.e. screen time hasn’t caused Autism, it was a pre-existing condition.
I doubt that Tara gave misinformation !💓 based on her decades (+ decades of training & medical experience!💓
@@user-qu2cx7cd3w She did I'm afraid, and I read the research papers that discredit her comment. Don't assume that just because someone has years of experience, they are right about everything they say with conviction 🙃
You get autism because your parents gut microbiome! Stress from aparenta, what they are and so on lack of carnetine
Whats the basis for diagnosis on the spectrum other than symptoms?
If you think about it, you are dumb. So she’s said something incorrect, that means everything else she said was incorrect? By default, everyone who has ever lived, even the smartest person, has been wrong about stuff. By your logic, nobody has credibility.
The languages past certain ages have way more to do with the muscles in your mouth and throat than the plasticity of the brain.
