The Finnish Athlete is just vibin'
Because of the law in Finland, you have to offer something in return for patreon contributes. Finns can't just take money. Unless they have a Estonian/foreign bank account.
so basically every Finnish athlete is Kimi Räikkönen
"You have just won a gold medal..."
"For what?"
"So we have been informed you have just won..."
"FOR WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?"
@@singleturbosupra7951 for getting the drink
Even Bottas is close to this
Bwoah
Bwoah
Basically every Kimi Räikkönen interview ever.
Shame no one tried to get an interview from him when he went straight to his yacht to drink beer when his car broke down in Monaco 2006 race. Would have been literally like this video :D
@@singleturbosupra7951 bwoah
boah
Bwoah
Bwoahhh😂
The way he doesn't look at the camera is spot on
I mean, that’s not only fin and that’s pretty much every athlete lol.
Finns don't give a damn about small talk and I have huge respect for that :D
Imagine if Kimi Räikkönen writes his own biography. It would be like: "I was born in 1979 and a few years later I died".
lmao
Bwoah I was born… then died so….
Kimi Raikkonen interviews in a nutshell
Kallas du för Sigge?
@@frankhaula nope lol
@@sixtenallingersandgren6674 well wtf man.
Even Bottas is close to this
Bwoah
Clearly a prime example of why Finland is the happiest nation
being silent or simple anaswers to questions and drinking.... yes
if he felt even better on a random friday, thats pretty good
Yes
I've been in Finland for a month and this is like when you just meet with a finnish person and try to have a conversation (they become extremly friendly after you drink together)
Yes Finnish people need time (or alcohol)
Time and alcohol bring the best out of any Finnish person.
Are you female?
@@mweskamppp sorry bro :(
Did you start talking to a stranger or someone you know? If it was a stranger, that's normal but if it was an acquaintance - you've only met weird people, or they're not interested in you. Finns don't generally want to have conversations with people they don't care about, hence little small talk.
what a coincidence that i got to this channel from kimi raikkonen interviews. he is exactly like this lmao
Same
I ate the yellow snow
I will find you.

I have a Finnish pen pal with whom I've been chatting for several years already. I have concluded that the highest possible level of enthusiasm he's able to manifest in writing is when he replies with 3 to 5 words instead of 1 word and uses the 😐 or 🤨 emoji instead of 😑.
How do you interact with someone like that?
@@vantao9408 I've started learning Finnish. Maybe he'll be more talkative in his mother tongue 😅
Plus, he's taught me a lot about language economy and conciseness. In my job, I often have to produce or proofread various texts - but since I'm a perfectionist, I unconsciously tend to explain things in a too complex way or from several different perspectives, although it's often unnecessary. Which may be uncomfortable for the reader, and even for me, especially if there's a word limit. Therefore, I'm sure that accepting the Finnish style of delivering thoughts and ideas can be beneficial in many respects. And in fact, it's even liberating in a way.
😑
@@miaow8670 that's actually rather interesting.
@@miaow8670 very interesting, you can still be more concise though 😑
It's just like Mika, Kimi and Valtteri! LOL!
and Serral
Engineer: Kimi you are on pole.
Kimi: Thank you 😐
I used to love when the Tampa hockey announcers interviewed Valteri Filpula, it was always painfully fun to watch him not answer questions, or give them one word answers .
Finns don't buy into the old adage "there are no stupid questions". Most questions addressed to athletes are pretty dumb, like "how do you feel right now".
I bet you'd get something out of these people if they were asked about stuff they were passionate about, at their level of expertise.
It's not like they don't talk to their coaches or team mates. They just can't be arsed with PR nonsense.
Kimi Raikkönen after winning 6 world championships be like
damn that is the most excited I've EVER seen a Finnish person be! HE'S ACTUALLY RESPONDING TO THE INTERVIEWER!!! that's some prime Finnish excitement right there, even Finnish children on Christmas aren't as excited!!!
Coz we are pagans. Perkele is a good word.
Yes. I akree.
- Is there a water?
- Yeah.. 50%
Now I know why Kimi Raikkonen even attended a prize giving drunk
Wow, this guy is both the winner of several Olympic metals PLUS a time traveller, and yet what excites him the most is beer. He is truly a Finn.
The Finns I know are some of the most modest, polite, fit, sober and overall balanced people I've ever met (and I travelled a lot). Just because you are not hysterical doesn't mean you have emotional problems. I'll take this calm and reserved attitude over modern days "trash talking" any day of the week :)
Its so accurate. There is two time Dota 2 International winning fin Tobias Topson. You guys got no enthusiasm about being a champion.
What about matumbaman hdhahahaha
It's the seasonal depression all year long ::D
It's a cultural thing. There's a Finnish saying "who's got the happiness, they should hide it". That's pretty much the mentality and bragging and boasting is considered embarrasing. We feel more comfortable making fun of ourselves, like Joni and Pete here wonderfully demonstrate. :D
Topson gives of similar vibes
Have you ever seen us win the WC in Ice Hockey? There's some enthusiasm for you!
1:15 I am legally required to say this
60% water.
Kimi Raikkonen : Bwoah
I’m an American and Juha-Matti Kangas is my spirit animal.
The microphone!!!!!!
"i was having a shit"
guys literally every video you make is a BANGER. so accurate :D
Feels comforting that they're more people like me, who have no sense for smalltalk or visual joy for achievements.
"Is that water" lmao
That’s give me Räikkönen vibes
The accent is very good! It's similar to Estonian. :D
Nyt on erittäin realistista kun nimikin lausutaan aivan päin persettä!
Repesin tälle kommentille ✋💀
Joka kerta 😂
Here because Finland won gold at ice hockey! Hyvä Suomi!
Wow you can really see why he's the best just from the insightful way he thinks thanks for posting truly inspiring!
This channel is underrated af
I've been a fan of Finnish sportsmen, as long as I can think, especially in Motor Sports and Ski Jumping. In the latter Ahonen and Matti Hautamaeki were the greatest back in their days, but no doubt the coolest was Harri Olli... He was basically a more cheerful version of the athlete here xD. A shame people seemed to think he was somehow too Finnish for the sport or something, I don't get their problems either. Bastards.
WTF !&? So many words per minutes! He is so talkative =D
any other memories other than the bar memory and related to the games here?.lol...you guys make my day...crazy finns...:)
i remember teemu selane interview, the reporter cried and hugged him. but he was retiring
Kimi Raikkonen likes this video
That microphone is doing a very good impression of an umbrella tho
Finnish small talk mentality is that you never know if someone is having a bad day so you should not bother them if you dont need help and also both of you can see what the weather is like so talking about it is pointless
Exactly right.
First rule of polite conduct is not to be a bother. Move out of the way before someone asks you to, don't ask questions you can easily find answers to, and so on.
Keeping someone for too long or asking probing questions is not polite.
I tolerate bad small talk and jokes, but not infantile jokes. I'd rather stay quiet than have my wits insulted.
This is so incredible. I love it so much!
LOVE the umbrella
he didn't even talk about eating porridge
I came here to see Kimi memes, was still surprised
Thank you for this video!
That umbrella:D
Finland just won gold at the Olympics. They celebrated a bit more than this
Raikkonen, Bottas and Hakkinen were all like this XD.
Just watched Ari Vatanen BMW M3 rally interview then this. Spot on.
I like the umbrella
I think I might be a Finn.
Nää on niin hyviä. Saa nauraa itsensä tärviölle.
This is basically Kimi
Wow you’ve doubled your subscribers in one week! Congratulations!
Simple guy who hasn't spoiled by the fame
only finnish "athlete" i know is joona "serral" sotala, sc2 player, and he is exactly like this
This is TOO accurate!
He asuvat 2022 vuodessa😍
the umbrella slayed me!🤣🤣🤣🤣
People who talk little are a blessing.
The first time the finnish player Serral won the Starcraft 2 world championship, you'd think he won a random match online... I wonder if he was excited for the bar after...
Koskenkorva is Finlands gift to the world
Instead over here in Norway it's just always the same stuff no matter the person and it's awkwarddd
C'mon - you both know he's way too excited to be a real finn! You guys can laugh at yourselves!! SUBSCRIBED.
Well, he is a 7 x Olympic winner
Priceless content
Now i really do understand the Kimi Räikkönen
is that water?
yes, is suomi water...
1:50 that's the funkiest outro music ever! dope
I get ' I'm feeling thank you. ' vibes from this.
Just reminds me of Mika Häkkinen 😁
When Finns are this cold, of course they will be good at Winter sports!
Hakkinen pretty much
You sound like Mika Hakkinen.

Janne Ahonen's Interviews in a nutshell😂
u should see the teemu selanne interview, in the end he and the reporter hugged and the reporter cried
Kimi Raikkonen vibes
The finnish Fairbairn films
The ole 169,Nice boys.Outstanding interview.
Joona “Serral” Sotala after winning everything in 2019:
Love your channel! I prefer your 30 second videos bevause the editing is so tight and done in a way that improves the comedy. I know view time is really important, so longer videos are better for you. I think with this video, having tighter editing and maybe 3 athletes with the same answer would have been better. So in general, i yhink the longer videos would be good it you can keep the tight editing style of the 30 second videos. Keep it up! You guys are hillarious.
Lol this is literally kimi raikkonen😂😂👌🏻
This is great fucking content
The differene between FInnish and Estonian athletes is that the Finns actually win
That sounds like a Haaland interview!
He didn't have his porridge yet 😄
B W O A H
Is that water? No it's bloods.
