This was the best instructional video I found .It showed how to flip the blower which most the other videos didn’t go over. Also showed how to place the template. Thanks for being thorough for all the diy ladies that don’t have a clew like me😁
THIS VIDEO IS A LIFE SAVER! Thanks so much for putting this on YOU TUBE! We had to buy a new Micro Wave that fit above the stove. We bought a Frigidaire. This video made it easy to remove the old and install the new one. A word of advice. Put your mind set on being Patient and Creative before you do this job. But this Video makes sense from start to finish. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!! God Bless you.
Thank you so much for making this video it was very helpful my wife and I just bought a Frigidaire OTR microwave and electric stove. Your video is so much easier to understand in a written instructions. Was able to install herself after watching your video a couple times. You saved us a lot of money. Lowe's one and over $100 install it. And your videos free thank you.
I have deep cabinets (14-5/8") and need a microwave to accommodate this depth and to vent inside rather than outside. Does Frigidaire have a model that can accommodate deep cabinets and can recirculate rather than vent air to outside. Is there such a thing? I've had no luck searching or looking for bump out kits.
ERROR IN SECTION ON CHANGING TURBOFAN MODE - he accidentally replaced the turbofan unit back into the turbofan chamber with the vents pointing DOWNWARD (back in the video) which is an INVALID ORIENTATION - in that orientation, the fan output would be blocked by the metal bottom of the fan chamber and the fan would likely malfunction. He corrects this error without acknowledging it (see below): You can confirm in the video at time index = 14:52 that the turbofan unit in the original and proper RECIRCULATE position to push air forward shows the ORANGE LABEL on his unit is visible on the left side. At 14:59 after showing the other two exhaust position options, he swaps the cable back over in order to return to the RECIRCULATE position, but instead of the ORANGE LABEL showing, the fan unit it's now rotated 90 degrees with the fan pointing so the turbo-exhaust is BLOCKED by the bottom of the fan chamber (down) and ORANGE LABEL is NOT visible on camera and thus incorrect position. **HOWEVER, the camera was turned off and he corrected his mistake; when the camera comes back up at time index = 16:03, after he had replaced the cover you can see part of the ORANGE LABEL through the slit of the cover which means he turned it back 90 degrees to the correct recirculate orientation off-camera. He did not admit his mistake. Despite the error (and unadmitted correction), it was a good video. The error should not affect anyone except those who want to remove and relocate the oven from an outside circulation to a RECIRCULATE mode - the video could confuse those cases. Hopefully this remark will clear up the confusion.
Great video. Unfortunately it did not answer my burning question. The templates have a dashed line on the edges, are these cutting lines, fold lines or what? Does the edge of the paper align with the wall, bottom of cabinet or does the dashed line? The templates and directions do not clarify this.
The dashed lines are the actual width and depth of the microwave. You are meant to cut on the dashed lines. Just make sure that if your cabinets face frame hangs past the side of your cabinet by 1/4" or so that you scoot the template over that amount. Good luck!
You can make one easily by lining up a sheet of paper to the back of the unit before installing. For the top as well, or just measure the two support holes locations.
At 15:55 you didn’t put the fan motor the way you took it out. You put the square blower rectangles facing into the inside of the microwave lol. But still good tutorial.
I noticed the same thing. So, for recirculating, should the vent be pointing to the front of the unit as it started, or towards the ground like it was at the end?
@@ytekleab CONFIRMED - he accidentally replaced the turbofan unit back into the turbofan chamber with the vents pointing DOWNWARD (back in the video) which is an INVALID ORIENTATION - in that orientation, the fan output would be blocked by the metal bottom of the fan chamber and the fan would likely malfunction. Thank you so much!! I was so confused. I think I have to take it back down and make sure it is correct 😢. I am still confused, but hopefully, through your explanation, I can be confident I won't blow up anything. I had only gone to this video for the fan explanation. Unfortunately, I didn't see your explanation until after we finished installing it. What a bummer. I will have to take it all down and make sure. Also, do I need to slide in the flap if mine is recirculating? Or do I just not even use it since there is no outside duct? We slid it in. Should I take it off. Any advice would be a blessing I am afraid of using it until I recheck it. Also, it the new microwave supposed to have that same smell when you turn on the heater after summer?
Oh NOW you verify it's level, after you've drilled the holes and installed the bracket permanently. Also, let's just skip past the entire part where you mount the microwave to the top cabinet.
i just cracked a rib john ...also... why so edgy fridge/ electrolux guy? 6th graders must been insubordinate earlier that day, as they are to all the substitutes.. hows the... where does the plug wire go again now. J/k very concise and thoroughal guide.. thank you..
Since the pros are charging an average of $400 to replace our microwave. I told my husband that I will do it. I think it will be a fun DYI project for me. This video was great!
How funny!!! As soon as he said you have to have to men I laughed and I immediately seen your comment! How funny. I guess I got lucky cause I'm gay- so my BF will help me put it up! Hahaha
Great training video, and an excellent instructor 👏👏👏👏

Thanks for the video. Seeing the back bracket was exactly what I needed to be confident replacing my broken over range microwave.
It's also a good idea to line up the paper template to the actual product. Often the holes do not exactly line up!
Completed install of my new microwave. Thank you for your informative video. Excellent tutorial.
Thanks! Figured out how to vent my over-the-range microwave thru the vent.
He explained everything he is the best
Great video, thank you very much
Excellent tutorial, this was very helpful to me.
Vely helpful video
thank you
He might have used the level BEFORE he fastened the bracket to the wall!
Could NOT agree more!!
Guess I'm not allowed to install it? Do the gentlemen come for free or...? (Good video, definitely going to rewatch as we hang it but yo it's 2023 😂)
LOL. My thoughts exactly. Now I need to find another gentleman to assist my son in lifting into place.

What about using the template in the recessed bottom of the cab for a top mount, not rear mount?!?
Guy holding it up was like.. hurry up and put in those top screws!
Had trouble getting one bolt it would just fall in other just went right in

@@ZachariahCruse do you have any idea where I can get these templates? They are impossible to find online!! PLMVZ169GCC model number frigidaire
when can you come to my house in FL. to install my new one.? seriously😊

You didn't level it correctly. The door's supposed to stay open once opened. It's going to be so annoying for the customer for the life of the oven.
