I just bought this laptop. I got the new version of it. It works well. The display is alright, and as a student who is only using this laptop for casual and note taking purposes, this laptop is great. I got the tilt pen stylus from hp with it, and that works amazingly. The only issue I currently am noticing is that the laptop gets hot even after using it normally for 3 hours? Overall, I think this laptop is great for people who are planning to use it for casual, work and school purposes. Works well for those.

Hp is great if you have an issue with one of their products purchase online directly from them. They mentioned the screen wasn't the best, then they should have ordered from the website and paid to upgrade the screen. They can only give you such quality components at user friendly costs and if they made all of their laptops with top specs most wouldn't be able to afford them. For the cost, longevity, and customizability I think hp is unparalleled in the PC/laptop prebuilt game.

Have a similar design HP laptop (an Envy model) and the keyboard is great, gotta say. Researching this laptop for my brother right now and I gotta say, if the keys are any similar, they're great for laptop standards.
Also watching your temperature tests, it seems they improved this a lot. My version has a 10W MX250 and gets almost painfully hot to the touch, especially if also charging.

In all honestly, I wouldn't recommend this laptop at all for anything long-term, had about two of these laptops and the screen starts to pop out , after that the screws for the hinges fall out causing the screen to no longer be adjustable at all. Aside from that now there are battery and overheating issues due to a poor fan, and have difficulty running software such as creative cloud. Other than those issues it has held up fairly well to do basic tasks for school, and drawing with the touch screen was nice when i was able to adjust the screen. Also be careful when trying to get it fixed most places its just too overpriced and not worth the repair. Atp the screen issues and hinges is a defect that hasnt seemed to be changed. But just my experience with it after sometime.

ive had a pavilion since 2020, and its been good but the plastic case can not support a long time of flipping between laptop and tablet mode, the case will begin to crack, and once its cracked its near impossible to fix. Also, the fingerprint senser and facial recognition no longer work, and the screen carries a LOT of glare. the speakers are sometimes quiet even at full volume. HDMI cable is great, no usb-c ports though.

It seems that the biggest disadvantage of this machine is the 43wh battery and 45% NTSC screen. After watching the evaluation, I think it's for the entry-level users who really need two in one computers to prepare machines. If you want to annotate PDF or painting, and you don't have a high budget, it will be very suitable. If you just coding or watch the video on it, you can choose some other machines at this price. They have larger batteries, 16:10 high gamut screen and better cost performance.

Its hard to give a one sided answer. They both honestly have their pros and cons. The FlexPad has a slightly better build quality and screen but the HP has great thermals.

@@SoulOfTech thank you, I bought it the day before yesterday (the laptop) and the left trackpad had a slight dip in it and I had to press further down to actually click and had an uncomfortable feeling to it. Now it has to be shipped over from jb hi fi to a hp store where they can determine whether it is faulty or not. The assistant said it would take around 2-3 weeks depending on shipping. Shipping in Australia pretty slow, I bought smth and they said in two weeks they would be able to ship it, and it ended up taking 4 months. Pretty unhappy with the long wait cuz I have a test coming up in a month and my old laptop has no SSD and it's Ryzen 3. Kept freezing and disconnected completely form the trial test server.

I don't recommend this laptop. I have the i7 version. It starts very slowly, 6, 7minutes (since the first day I bought it). The screen is pretty loose, if you grab the laptop a little harder it will go back and forth very easily. It doesn't have a SSD (but that's not the reason for the slow start up, I mean it's too slow even for a clasic hdd). It is not very bright, compared to other laptops, even with maximum illumination. I hate it and it costed me almost 900euros two years ago, at this money I'd expect at list a SSD. DON'T BUY!!

      I concur. It’s HP’s worst laptop (HP pavilion 360). I don’t recommend it.
It’s slow and functionality is problematic with every use. Many apps can’t be downloaded without an ongoing farce searching for solutions. A waste of time and money.
