- What is a guitar? Just a loose assortment of manufactured parts assembled in a way that allows it to make sound under the correct circumstances? Metal wire magnets wood?
Or is it something greater? Something that allows the user to create a story? A tale of their thoughts and feelings and emotions laid out in a different kind of language, one that we don't all speak but certainly all understand?
Come along with me as I tell you the story of this 2002 Epiphone Elitist SG '61 Reissue electric guitar.

The way you put your friend, the original owner of the guitar, at the end of the video gave me the chills. This little video is full of love and tasty guitar licks.
Thanks for this. I missed your videos.
Nice tone and excellent phrasing dude! Subscribed ❤!
I really like it when you’re just jamming at home!✌🏼❤️🫵🏼
That's always the easiest part to film, that's for sure! Hope things are going well for you Kirk!
That sounds great, ITS BACK TO LIFE. Nice chords.
IT'S ALIVE!!! Thanks man!
Goodness! Great playing and tone.
Love this! And it sounds great.
Thank ye kindly sistah!
Wait a minute!!! You have an SG, the back drop and even the hair. But not playing stoner metal!?!?!? Im not sure how i feel about this?!?! (Joking of course.)
As usual, excellent chops man!! Super cool that this belonged to someone that inspired you. Im sure that would make him very happy.
Brian just sent me this link. Very Cool!
Brian is the man! Thanks for tuning in Eric!
My research on the pickups would suggest they are 490/498 design but with alnico v mags instead of ceramic. Enjoy! Wonderful playing.
Awesome gift, your vocabulary is amazing, maybe you can show us how you switch back and forth from a pick to finger style, and where your tucking the pick during changes, excellent playing, subbed immediately.
Thanks for the kind words! I've been asked that before -- I keep a pick cupped in my hand and sort of "roll" it back out when I need it, kind of like how some people can roll a pencil between their fingers like a drum stick. I don't honestly know how I learned to do it, but yes I'll do a video on it for sure!
