    Love the new machine. You will have it mastered by next week. Get your wife to put a coat of wax on it before it gets too dirty. Stay safe out there.

      Thanks, Rich! It's gonna need more than wax just based on what I've done to it already! 🙂It's a shame it can't stay new-looking, but a shiny machine doesn't pay for itself. 🙂

    Sweet. Congrats on the new Takeuchi. How far do you travel for jobs? I'm in Augusta county Virginia. We have other people from here that do the work I need, I was just wondering.

      Hi Orion. I haven't worked in Augusta County, but it really isn't all that far away. I travel that far in other directions pretty regularly, but don't make it north past Lexington too much. Would be happy to talk if you have a project in mind. Thanks for watching!

      @@SWVALandClearing I do but we're in the process of building right now. We're on 5 wooded acres and looking for an UTV trail and possible thinning. Maybe in a year?

    What is your take on the R2 vs the V2? I've been told conflicting opinions. I've heard either is better for mulching.

    • @SWVALandClearing
      @SWVALandClearing  Před měsícem +1

      I have read and heard a number of times that the R2 is better for mulching. The V2 catches and holds an awful lot of debris under the arms, and the R2 doesn’t because the arm mechanism is so much simpler. Also the physics involved in moving the arm is clearly more efficient in the R2. I initially ordered the R2 back when nobody had any inventory. A couple weeks later my salesman became aware of a V2 on a ship that I’d be able to get 2 or 3 months earlier, so I switched. So far, no regrets. 👍

      @@SWVALandClearing Exactly what I was told, about the machines. I'm just going to roll the dice, take what's available and put it to use.

      @Jewalston Sounds like a plan! Either way, I think you’ll be fine. Good luck!

    Any overheating issues ? I run a prinoth head ms450 and have a cooler and seems to engine overheat randomly... clean rads, filters etc... only 300 hrs on my machine

      Been flawless so far. Summer will be the real test, but happy so far.

      I don’t mulch full time but just “weekend warrior” with my 2014 Kubota svl90 with BH74 fecon head. I installed the loftness be cool roof top unit toward the end of summer . Daylight and dark difference. I could then work a full day with no heating issues. If I were to go full time I would probably go with the ASV machine . Those things have a super cooling system and from what I’ve seen have no heating issues . That’s saying something here in southeast Texas. I enjoy your videos …..👍

      @@benniebarrow348 Sounds good! I'm open to a roof cooler if I need one, but I don't expect this machine to have problems based on what I've heard. It gets hot in VA, but not Texas hot. 🙂 Thanks for watching!

      Hi Rob. So far it has been rock solid. My productivity is up over previous years, and I attribute that mostly to the reliability of the machine. There's always a risk no matter what you do, but this one has gone really well. Best of luck!
