I'm in tears. Long ago in high school or grade school I got into drum and bass, and so this was one of my songs in my mp3 at the time. I loved listening to it especially the beginning. Sadly when I moved my files to my PSP for convenience sake, I forgot this one and only remembered it a few years later. By then I had been in the middle of my musical journey, exploring other genres (I was into soul, jaz, blues at the time)but tried remembering this song but only rememvered the melody and rhythm not the lyrics. Disheartened like I had lost a friend, I thought it was easier to forget than to look for it all bight and the days that followed. Fewyears later today, I downloaded (redownloaded) a game called cytus (I swear I wasn't paid to advertize this xD) that I played one song and liked the music (it was called "Set free" by kiva as a sample only) so I looked for it, not realizing it would lead me here. And now I can breathe, happy and content that I found an old friend. Hello, Here With Me Close. Welcome home.
This track is now 10 years old…..and I consider this the best Drumsound and Bassline Smith track of all time! Intro is still fantastic and the drop is awesome! Always love to go back to this one….so nostalgic. Definitely one of the best D&B tracks from 2011!
