- You know this week’s guest from Battlestar Galactica, How I Met Your Mother, or his insanely good performance on The Fall of the House of Usher, but to me, he is first and foremost my beloved work-husband ... it’s Michael Trucco! We discuss Michael growing up the son of a police officer, a near-fatal car crash that altered his perspective on life, our time together on BSG and much more. As always, stick around for the hindsight where we read some crazy animal facts.

So say we all! I was very glad they kept his character as long as and in the way that they did. “See you on the other side” in his very last scene was a tear jerker.
Thank you, Katee! In a short time, you did two interviews emphasizing physical problems. You talked frankly with Tait Fletcher about his on-set head injury, and with Michael Trucco about his off-set neck fracture. You are doing a real service for those of us with disabilities. Hope is a priceless commodity, and you've got plenty to lend us.
I loved Kara/Sam. The chemistry was amazing! I was thrilled when Michael returned to the show. Great interview!
Such a good interview. These two have a great vibe
This is such a great interview! I’m a huge fan of Michael Trucco. Loved him on BSG, loved him on Midnight Mass & House of Usher. Can’t wait to see a Sackhoff/Trucco reunion onscreen someday!! 😄🤘🏻
Another great conversation.
I freaking *KNOW* Jeff Dick, well, I knew him. Cop in San Mateo.
This was a fantastic episode. Michael seems like super-zen dude. Was once in an elevator with him at DragonCon and all i could do was say "Be cool, be cool, be cool" in my head lol
All Along The Watch Tower!
This was a GREAT chat. Loved it
Just love your podcast. Been listening for a while. Thanks for sharing. I especially liked Ming Na Wen. Your humanity shows right through. Thanks for your podcast. 😁
Thanks to Katee and Michael! 🌟
Katee, I don’t need to see you or your guest to totally enjoy the crap out of your podcasts. I appreciate your perspectives. 🌹
"and it's easier" .That broke me up.
My grandmother read Misery to me when I was 9...
Someone suggested it since I was the girl who liked (the new at the time) Point Fiction books (Christopher Pike and R.L. Stine) and said that it would be something I would like but needed a little adult supervision in case.
Michael is still a SNACK! 🤤🤤
Omg 😲 he broke his neck, pulled himself out of the car, walked away from wreckage and then got thru 6 hours of spinal surgery and recovered in time to continue BSG. Damn!
I understand why it's audio only but I do miss seeing her.
Great conversation !
Again another awesome conversation 😊
ALSO, a great episode of Castle. Gotta say he is still so handsome. Great interview!
Loved this interview with Michael! I’ve been a fan of his since his Pensacola days! Would love to know if he still plays music with simpleworld or any other bands.
Really great interview
Pensacola was like Hercules & Xena, even Charles in Charge went from network to first run or whatever. Used to watch Pensacola Saturday afternoons before SNICK.
I hope you can get Michael into the next Mando/Bo Katan season! 😊
My grandparents worked at Panam in SF too and my dad also worked for Continental at SF. Pretty cool he’s from the Bay Area like me!
I knew a guy who's dad was Chief of Police.
He got arrested for something, can't remember what and as he was being taken to an interrogation room he passed his dad, said "Hi Dad" and he said, "Hey son" and continued walking.
Then just as he was taking his seat his dad came back yelling "Why the f*** are you in handcuffs?!"
The chemistry is real.
Just to hear Katee say "my t*ts" was worth the listen.😂😂
He would be perfect in a Gene Roddenberry biopic.
I want to high school with Michael. He was a great guy back then too.
Michael Trucco!!! 🌌 🎯💪🪖 🎬 🛠 🎉 🎤 🎙 🎧 🌟
I truly love listening to you! Guest or no. So thanks for the show!
I really wanna ask if you were aware of a small cameo that Starbuck made in the last episode of the Expanse or if anyone else caught it for that matter?
Haha The Last Sentinel DVD cover says Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), as if people won’t know who she is 😂
Awesome
This version of BSG was way better then the first one and loved the whole cast. I hear that they might reboot BSG again. I don't think they can improve on profection. If they do they should or must have some of this cast in the new one
FIRST. ONE. HERE. SO EXCITED!
Wow, I didn't know Michael had that accident and how it affected Anders' storyline.
Oooo, Katee. What role did you audition for in The Hateful 8? Daisy or Six Horse Judy?
I used to watch Passions!
Which character were you offered??
Love your pod cast but I really do miss the video.
I love sci-fi/fantasy and Stephen King captures both. I read him as a kid all the way until adulthood. In the last couple years I have stopped reading so much because it's gotte6too Graphic and triggering. But I used to love it.
❤❤❤❤❤
Starbuck was horrible to him. When she said, "I just want to hurt someone, and it may as well be you." That latterly made me feel sick.
Note: Starbuck has nothing to do with Katee Sackoff, other that they look alike.
I think that people fall into 2 different camps on that bit about sharing a similar experience when people are having a bad time. I disagree strongly that it invalidates anything they are feeling. It has always made me feel better when someone else does it for me, the few times its happened. I still do it if I can, but my limited life experience often leaves me speechless in those scenarios and I feel terrible that I can't help them like others have helped me. I had a girlfriend who hated it when I would try. She said basically the same thing about the invalidation; but I just don't understand how that can be. I know what people say about it - and if I know their feelings on the subject, I can keep my mouth shut. But, I just can't truly empathize with that way of feeling.
He reminds me of Dustin Hurt from Gold Rush.
Why don't you just record a zoom session Katie? It's shitty to not see you and your guests. :(
you cant drop "talking machine gun" and leave us hanging.
👍👍👍👍
Frak.. lol.. I wish these were audio and video
13:30 Jennifer Grey had that nose, then she got it fixed, then she looked like everyone else.
Starbuck and her Sammie.. oops don't call him that
It's such a shame that it's just audio. I still don't understand why. Has it to do with the youth-obsession of Hollywood? I love to see familiar faces, be they eight or eighty...
She explained it before making the transition. It's a lot easier and more manageable to do just audio.
@@ZOIDGARTH I understand that and my first reaction was "that's it for me then", but of course I can't stay away, nevertheless still whining about it..
Um she explained this, it's basically because she's portable and interviewing guests at their own homes instead of a studio
Back in my day podcasts were audio only 😂
She's explained it a dozen times. Is it so hard to understand?
🤍🤍🤍
I was looking forward to this until I found out there’s no video.
🤍 😊 🤍
