- West Bengal Panchayat Election: Ahead of the Panchayat Elections in West Bengal, the political rivalry between the ruling Trinamool Congress and the Opposition, Bharatiya Janata Party, has reached a fever pitch. On July 5, during Trinamool Congress’ campaign meeting in Nandigram, ‘Thief, Thief’, slogans were raised against the Leader of Opposition, Shuvendu Adhikari. This happened, exactly when the BJP leader’s convoy was passing. The slogans were raised in the presence of Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh.
