    Just ordered one of these. Anything is better than the free one I got when I ordered my Ace 400. Thing doesn't go off unless it's touching whatever you're looking for...Give me about an inch or two, and I'll be happy!

      That's what your wife said .. just kidding it was so easy I shouldn't have even went for it. 😉😂
      Seriously however, kind of range do you get out of yours? I just ordered one from eBay and I can only get about an inch from a quarter half an inch in the ground. Is that about right or did I get a lemon?

    • @TotemoGaijin
      @TotemoGaijin Před 5 lety +1

      @@Jayson90210 I've never really planted anything to do a practical test, because air testing it isn't quite the same situation, but I don't know, maybe 2-3 inches? You might have gotten a lemon. Like he said in the video, the thing about buying a non branded product is that you are taking a gamble, but you're out less than if you bought a brand named one where they're basically charging you for the name.

    Hi, when I 1st started metal detecting I got one of the pinpointers to see if I would need one and yes it all worked fine until i lost it on my 4th dig with it, so I was going to upgrade it but in the end got the same GP one and it do works and help u recover your goods quicker and I'm now at the start is it really worth me spending a lot more money on one when this is doing the same trick plus if I lose it I'm not losing out on alot of money, so the end of the day it do what it say not too bothered about a very tiny bit of depth u lose, I'm happy it's doing its job so 👍👍

    I have one of these and it starts to spaz out in humid weather. I live in the American South and it is always humid, so it will start to beep even when there’s no metal near it. It only works when it is cool and not humid outside. When it does work, it works great though, so I would recommend it too. Just don’t use it in humid weather

    After my Garrett PP2 died I got one of these. Agreed. They bloody last. No problems in 2 years of beating the crap out of it. I've even fully submerged it a couple of times when river detecting, and it survived after I shook it dry. Defo worth the price. Bought a second one for use with my backup machine. I think I paid $15 for the second one! (12pounds or so?) Can't beat it. Might do a silicon waterproof on it as per aquachigger. But for now also great piece of kit. Great review. Good luck out there. Hope the weather is nice.

    your theory of brand reputation is faulty, because it is based on old economics when a brand had to design and test its own products.
    nowdays, brands import from china with their own brand printed on the product for a small extra cost.
    if you buy brand names in 2020, you are getting the exact same product as a china-product from ebay, but paying extra to cover the cost of printing the brand name on the product long after manufacture.
