The cat knows what it is doing and likes it. I've trained many a retrieving dog, and this stroke is exactly what you're looking for: body level; head forward; tail as rudder; back legs driving; front legs used as azipods. The main thing is this cat trusts it's natural buoyancy and is using it efficiently. If a cat or dog panics, or is fearful of water, then they do what we call the egg-beater: vertical in the water because it's trying to touch bottom w/ back legs; fronts legs chopping to keep the head up & away from the water, rather than pointed forward in the direction of travel. The egg-beater is very inefficient and quickly leads to exhaustion. This cat is fine.
The cat even coasted near the end. If the cat were hating it the nearest human would become a clawing post as the cat got out of the water however it could. But it didn't do that. So cool.
The cat obviously would have scratched the absolute shit out of her, climbing her to get out of the water if he didn’t like it. So chill. Also, two separate breeds of cat actually enjoy water and swimming.
