  • We show the chevrolet silverado A/c condenser replacement in the diy how to video where we go step by step on how to replace the ac condenser on your 2014-2018 chevrolet silverado that the ac has failed and leaked from the condenser. This is a common problem with these trucks and also effects the gmc sierra, yukon, suburban and other GM trucks during those years.

I have the exact same problem.Very good video.I am 1st going to take the condenser out and Aluminum weld the crack. If that doesn't work I will buy a new one.Readers do not buy a GM Dealer condenser, you will get the same leak as before in a few years.I had a warrenty replacement,3 years ago.Same exact leak now. What a bummer.I call this a GM service shop money maker.

Awesome vid and it saved me a lot of money. My only issue was getting those top hoses off. Mine didn't just pull out so easily. I used a pair of channel locks to grip them (without damaging or crimping them) and tapped the side of the channel locks outward with a hammer. Worked like a charm.

Where do you... and when do you put in... and how much PAG 46 oil do you put in? How come there are tons of videos on the unit replacement, but the corresponding information to the fine details are equally important!! Also the tranny fluid... rarely is this mentioned, and I have to do mine, but with the amount of videos explaining the R&R ... I can't find any two videos the same about talking about recharging and the importance of the other two fluids. PLEASE HELP!! I NEED TO DO MINE ASAP!

I just received my spectra Condenser and I hounastly couldn't be more disappointed. I haven't even installed it and just by looking at it I can say that it's not going to last long because this Condenser is literally held together with tacks. Everything from the drier to the mounting tabs. As a fabricator I can tell you that if aluminum objects are just tacked together it is very very weak. Atleast the ac delco one had small stitch welds. Im thinking about either putting welds on it myself or returning it. But im not sure if the welding it will void the warranty

I have an 04 Silverado in about once or twice a year the AC blows hot on the driver side and blows cold on the passenger side usually when it’s the hottest day of the year and I’m driving down the road so I pull over turn the car off and on, and usually it goes back on But if it doesn’t, I turn the motor off. I take both sides of the battery off for 10 minutes and then turn on the headlights. Keep the headlights on with the battery cables off for 10 minutes. At least let the access millivolts drain out of the system out of the computer system, turn the headlights off put the battery cables back on and it should work
