@@KARIAP as a fellow metal fan, It’s such a distinctive niche subgenre that it’s tough to break out of. Like, sometimes I’ll like a radio friendly song but after a listen or two it’s just like … boring? Idk that sounds mean. When you start listening to metal and you can’t even understanding the lyrics, and then you’re a year in and understand every single word and your friends don’t understand how lol. Metal fans, especially if they’ve been in for years, get really nicely surprised when something mainstream sticks with them. There’s just such a huge gap between the two that it feels notable enough to mention when it happens.
KariaP being a metal fan doesn't necessarily put more weight on an opinion. As a metalhead myself to me it means that people who normally wouldn't listen to a song feels a connection to it. It's a badass song. I would totally cover this in a metal version.

“Just Dance” was not only the breakthrough smash hit for the performer, but was also instrumental in introducing to the top 40 a techno-synth sound that had been popular in Europe in the past decade. Her producer said that the lay “was essentially a rock track but with synths instead of guitars. Big drums. The vocals were the melody, with a simple chorus. Thank god we were lucky and it was PERFECT TIMING. The moment the public heard it, they bought into it.”
About the album “The Fame” (2008) featuring “Just Dance”, Gaga explained that it “is about how anyone can feel famous. Pop culture is art. It doesn’t make you cool to hate pop culture, so I embraced it and you hear it all over ‘The Fame’. But it’s A SHARABLE FAME. I want to invite you all to the party.”

as someone who grew up in the 2010s I’m so used to old music just because of nostalgia I’m no longer a kid I’m a teen I still have a life ahead of me behind the scenes of my childhood it was hell most of my friends either died due to their medical problems or moved and I always felt lonely teachers kept disrespecting me over my skin but tv, music, Xbox 360 got me through it all I grew up with one hell of a childhood I’ll tell you that also I used to think this song was annoying now I just miss it and dance every fucking time I hear it I remember me and my friend group heard this song play at my first school dance and we just danced and had fun good memories with this song

I was fresh out of highschool when lady gaga blew up. Her music was in clubs and house parties. It was everywhere. A big contrast to the emo scene music that was dominating around the same time. I remember my friends and I were out bar and party hopping when we went through a taco bell drive thru. Poker face came on and we all were drunk singing it overly suggestive to the girls in the drive thru just being stupid and they joined in. They loved it 😂 one of my exs also karoake sang paparazzi incredibly well, she got a bar shaking so I have alot of memories tied to her. Her music always make me think of those wild times.
