Really amazing! Every sacrifice was accompanied by a profound thought. The Prince knew the art of removing the defenders and cornering the king.

Fallen in love with these 🤴 princely games. Really amazing 🥰 chess. Was fascinated by magic games of Tal but now enamoured by the games of Prince Dadian which are are majestic with royal flavour. Hats off!!!!

I hope you have more games from our young prince. His imagination and ability to think several moves ahead make for great content!

Really nice game. It's impressing how good this amateur was back in the 1850's.

Modern chess is very boring, they just play for end game no more checkmates and whatnot

Wikipedia says certain people accused prince Dadian of staging his games. He was also accused of publishing the wins and trying to bury the losses. Nevertheless, his games are very refreshing to watch.

    What a game!!!!!
BTW, I think Ignatz von Kolisch would've been a fantastic name for a pro wrestler. 😂
    Thanks again, Mato!!!

Mato i always played e4 with white. Tryed all the other openings but e4 felt best.
But today i saw this instruction video about the keona hiva gambit man o man i crushed 2400+ engine like it was nothing.
Check it out. It works great.
Rooks connect perfectly, queen is very active.
    F-line is amazingly agressive.
Never thought i would like an e3 opening.

White sacrifices almost all his pieces. Black is only down a knight and three pawns. Who does this remind us of?

I wonder how Dadian would have fared against Victor Korchnoi. Even my all-time favourite player, Mikhail Tal, didn’t do well against “Victor the Abominable”.

Mato, I need your help. I recently purchased your book The King Hunt, a beautiful book by the way. I have a little problem with game #14. On the tenth move how can the Bishop go to a2 if a3 has not been played? I love the book Mato, I am learning a lot. Thanks for your help.
    Manny.

      @MatoJelic  Před 4 lety +2

I can see what are you talking about. That would be an illegal move. The move played in the game is probably Bb3. Sometimes when I copy games from chessbase and paste them to a word document it doesn't pase correctly. I was working with an old version of chessbase. Good observation. I am glad you like my book.
