I’m playing it right now with non stop goosebumps for about 2 hours now. I’ve been waiting for anything to be slightly similar to jet set radio future For 20 years now. And today I got more than what I could ever ask for.
You don't know how happy I am to be alive to play a spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio. I was 15 when JSRF-one of my favorite games of all time-came out, and now I'm in my mid-30s, still thirsty for another game like it. Thank you, Team Reptile, for doing what SEGA wouldn't!

The game is an absolute blast. Clear care and time went into every last detail. Thank you Team Reptile. The controls are tight, responsive, and addictive. The soundtrack is funky af. The visuals are so nostalgic . It's not just a loving tribute to JSR. It's actually an improvement as far as gameplay goes. JUST CAN'T GET ENUFF

JSR was during the last days of games being "video games" and not these Hollywood style blockbuster adventures. Nintendo is the only major studio that still gives you the feel of old school gaming today. I'll still give it to Sega for some of the most creative and DIFFERENT games and trend setters. Jet Set Radio was a cherry on top of creativity. I'm glad to see "someone" out there picking up where SEGA left off.
I just played an hour on Switch and I honestly think it’s one of the BEST INDIE GAMES EVER!!!! The Music is Awesome, the Art and Graphics are colorful and inviting, the characters are extremely creative and cool, and the Gameplay is super satisfying and makes you wanna get even better and better with every second you play! Thank You So Much Team Reptile! Keep Being Amazing and I hope you all have a wonderful year in the Netherlands!
This is the game ive been waiting for since i was a child and beat JSRF.. Hell even my dad is hyped about this, he used to play JSRF with me all the time. This game is THE reboot/spiritual successor of our lifetimes

It was the release trailer from way back then that made me aware of this game's existence alongside Hideki Naganuma's contribution. Now, after everything that's happened over these last few years, we will finally see the release of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Despite the hype I've seen outside of the gameplay itself has mostly been on Hideki Naganuma's music, one has to congratulate him alongside everyone else who worked on this game. The programmers, composers, artists and everyone else in between. Heck, even the people who managed to get their graffiti in the game, I congratulate you all. I hope this game will be remembered fondly as the great successor to a game loved by many, and I hope this game as well will be loved by many, lol. I never played Jet Set Radio, but I am still very excited to play a game made by the fans of that series. It's nice to find these fans taking the time and effort making something the original creators just haven't felt like making, and though I will probably experience this in a different point of view, one thing I know is for sure. This game will be the bomb. 🤟

Thank you to Team Reptile for making this game. Jet Set Radio inspired me to start inline skating again after so much time of me not skating and recently I had an accident that broke my skates. But whether or not the game is good won't matter to me as I'm hoping BRC will get me into something else. Also, make sure y'all have enough snacks to eat while playing!

I recently watched Sk8 the infinity which really made me and my bro wanna start skateboarding and I've recently been considering giving parkour a proper go and BRC might just be the thing I need to properly start!
@brentus668 that's awesome! I've skateboarded here and there but my passion is longboarding. Parkour would be so cool. I never really thought about how inspiring this could be in those ways. Maybe it'll help me get out of my comfort zone with longboarding, and even skateboarding! I've actually wanted to try inline skating for a while too!!!

Not sure how to feel about that. On the one hand I'm totally hyped for a new (official) JSR game by SEGA, on the other hand it feels like a slap in the face for Team Reptile who obviously put a lot of heart and soul into BRC.
@@m0arfthink of it as healthy competition. Team Reptile and a ton of great indie devs made Sega step up, and in turn, maybe Sega popularizes the genre further. Rising tides lifting all ships and all.

remember people this is an INDIE GAME! i heard some people werent as pleased about how it was emptier than jsrf but this is made just a bunch of devs! theyve laid groundworked for something that could become even huger 🎉❤❤❤
I say this compares pretty well with JSRF. I'm hard pressed to describe this as more empty. Maybe the sewer level is larger than some of BRC's levels, but the mall and bus terminal are larger than the average JSRF level. If we're comparing 1 to 1, the hideout is larger and more packed with stuff, so is the bus terminal, Mataan is larger than the skyscraper district by just a little (and is a little less frustrating). Verisim Hill is larger than the level you unlock Beat in... They integrated alt outfits and about as many unlockable characters as JSRF.
Already loving the console release. Only thing I'm going to ask is for Candyman dlc where he just rides his floating cane and his slide animation is the splits from lethal league. Certified banger 20/5

I don’t think I’ve ever kept up to date with a game release, it’s details, and also it’s story like this one since the release of gta v back in 2013. I feel like that little kid again man. Thank you to Team Reptile for making this game. Jet Set Radio inspired me to start inline skating again after so much time of me not skating and recently I had an accident that broke my skates. But whether or not the game is good won't matter to me as I'm hoping BRC will get me into something else.

@@HavenJaedeAlready am! I was thinking more about parkour or skateboarding, BMX seems way too expensive for my poor 🍑. I recently watched Sk8 the infinity which really made me and my bro wanna start skateboarding and I've recently been considering giving parkour a proper go and BRC might just be the thing I need to properly start!
@brentus668 that's awesome! I've skateboarded here and there but my passion is longboarding. Parkour would be so cool. I never really thought about how inspiring this could be in those ways. Maybe it'll help me get out of my comfort zone with longboarding, and even skateboarding! I've actually wanted to try inline skating for a while too!!!
@@HavenJaede That's good to hear! I'm always happy to hear about someone who wants to get Inline Skating! All I've got to say is make sure you know which skates you're getting, there are multiple disciplines of Inline Skating that each require different types of Skates.

Not sure how to feel about that. On the one hand I'm totally hyped for a new (official) JSR game by SEGA, on the other hand it feels like a slap in the face for Team Reptile who obviously put a lot of heart and soul into BRC.

@@m0arfthink of it as healthy competition. Team Reptile and a ton of great indie devs made Sega step up, and in turn, maybe Sega popularizes the genre further. Rising tides lifting all ships and all.

If you haven’t played it or seen anything about it, yes, it totally is, I recently got the 100% in the main game and can’t recommend it enough.
JSRF made my gaming teen years memorable! Hopefully my son gets as much a kick out of it!

I played for about 40 minutes and I couldn't believe how incredible the controls feel
remember people this is an INDIE GAME! i heard some people werent as pleased about how it was emptier than jsrf but this is made just a bunch of devs! theyve laid groundworked for something that could become even huger 🎉❤❤❤
I say this compares pretty well with JSRF. I'm hard pressed to describe this as more empty. Maybe the sewer level is larger than some of BRC's levels, but the mall and bus terminal are larger than the average JSRF level. If we're comparing 1 to 1, the hideout is larger and more packed with stuff, so is the bus terminal, Mataan is larger than the skyscraper district by just a little (and is a little less frustrating). Verisim Hill is larger than the level you unlock Beat in... They integrated alt outfits and about as many unlockable characters as JSRF.

Already loving the console release. Only thing I'm going to ask is for Candyman dlc where he just rides his floating cane and his slide animation is the splits from lethal league. Certified banger 20/5
