Vw golf mk5 accessing pin code directly from cluster to do a cluster swap via vcds

Swapping clusters in mk5 golfs is very easy if you have the pincodes of both the old and new clusters its just following instructions from a sheet provided by rosstech using one of their genuine interfaces. You ca swap clusters and add key’s with ease
Email [e-mail] if you want the pinouts for the cluster live earth canbus etc

Can i connet the old and new instrument on the car to get the pin number or must have codediag

You can get the car original pin using the obd in the car as it pulls it from the ecu but the new replacement cluster must be done on the bench ok

I've done an engine swap from caye to bkd (i know now that was my mistake) but did not the probe for the original ECU or cluster pin before adapting the loom.
I've got the pin for the bkd cluster but the vag k+can cable i used won't read the caddy cluster or ecu on the bench.

Yes if they sent it out without it’s pincode it’s useless unless you get the ecu immobiliser removed
