Let's go fly a kite - large enif kite from Into the wind

I've purchased the kite last year on black Friday, not realising that I was lucky in more than one respect: it wasn't available for long anyway...
It's a beautiful kite from Italian kite designer Maurizio. However, being a flat kite (it doesn't even bend in the wind much), it needs specific conditions. When the wind isn't VERY steady, it dances quite a lot. But I didn't mind, being very happy to make it fly at all...

I too have this beauty! Although it hangs on my wall more then in the blue sky. When it does fly it is an awesome site~

I know you had one and I remember you writing, that you like the large enif better than the small one...
There's hardly ever the right wind to make it fly here, but I think it's so beautiful that I'm ever so happy when I manage to fly it.

Yes, Monika, that kite definitely needs the right conditions to fly well. It's a lovely item, and Maurizio is a clever designer. Our spring has been very disappointing, with strong and gusty winds most days. I fly when I can, but it's a lot less often than I used to. I hope things settle down as summer comes closer.
