23:05 , those are the best riding days man. So therapeutic, and you just slow down and almost meditate while riding slowly. So healthy for the mind, especially cause of COVID. I can't WAIT to get out there man, come on Spring!
I just bought a new G310GS - a 60th birthday present to myself. It's 2:30 AM and I'm waiting in the car in torrential rain waiting for the shipper who is delivering it from the dealer 500 miles away. I can't wait to do some solo motorcycle adventure camping.
@@nspinicelli - Thanks for the encouragement. I rode a dual sport in the mid 70s as a teenager, had a DR350 that I mostly used as an urban assault commuter bike in my late 30s, and I'm now a "mature returning rider." (Blech)
@@Liberty4Ever I love it. We're in a golden age of motorcycles and tires, it's a great time to get back into it. Don't be afraid to get dirt on that thing!
A lot of this scenery brings back childhood memories. Spent a few summers at Diamond Valley Lake. Another beautiful part of Oregon. Gosh miss it so much. Thanks for bringing us along 😊
I find that some of my best rides are when I'm by myself. Just putting down an old road deep in thought taking it all in. Take a few photos, etc. There is no better therapy than a man and his motorcycle and no planned destination. Just see where the road takes you . . .
I get it man I get it. I have done both and want to do it again in the worst way. But when ur in that tent at 3am and it’s pitch black and cold. Then u hear some bigass creature right outside your tent. You won’t want to be anywhere else than your bed at home.
I seen a black bear on my holidays. I seen him come through the ditch. I started to slow down and as he crested the bank he turned instantly back towards the bush. Just like a black ball, rolling through and was gone.😆 Near a town called Commanda in mid Ontario. A Commanda Panda😎
I mainly camp solo. This year I bought a Garmin Inreach after I had a nasty fall and realized if I ever crash and have life threatening injuries I'm done for out there.
Your out in the pdx area 😁 I'm on the east side of Mount hood along the Columbia, just got a new bike and can't wait to go moto camping this spring/summer
Salut Oregon Motorcycle, j'ai installé dernièrement des crashbars de marque givi, sur ma cb 500 X de 2019. Merci pour tes vidéos, avec de magnifiques paysages. Mes amitiés de Bretagne.

Legend has it the Sasquatch of Diamond Lake are still riding Joes V Strom around lost somewhere south of the lake! Please report them to the authorities if spotted❗️ Ha ha 🤣. All jokes aside, Joe is fine and of course he told me he was leaving.
Love your videos man, I literally just bought a 2020 Honda CB500X Red. Will be ready to pick it up the 25th. Cant wait. And alot of my decisions to choose this bike is from your reviews. So Honda should get you some free accessories. hehe Thanks again and keep m comin!
Motorcycle trip like this lot problem can happen anytime even you think you know someone very well but when trip start ride a moment when we tired or problem coming you will see all how they are.Thank you show how you pack chair I will try put that for next trip.
Cool video...I'm from Colorado and picked up my kid in LA. last month. We drove up the 1 and 101 all the way to Seattle. Went through the small towns and checked other towns where I might like to live. I like the Astoria area, do you know if there are good riding for motorcycles and dirt bike around there? Could you suggest any towns that would be kinda close to the ocean? I do a lot of thinking and looking back when I ride as well. I do it to get away from the fast paced life we live in town. I bought a Africa Twin and love that I can almost go anywhere with it.
Dan Braden, hwy 53 between Nehalem Bay and Necanicum (Hwy 26) is one of my favorite rides in that area. Also 202 between Jewell and Astoria. Fort Steven's State Park has a nice campground as does Nehalem Bay State Park. Manzanita, Cannon Beach, Seaside and Astoria are all nice places to visit. They all can be a bit touristy and the camp grounds are pretty good size and busy through the summer, so if you're trying to get away from people you'll want to take that into consideration. The routes mentioned are paved but low traffic when I've ridden them though.
FYI you were on the N. Umpqua river. Only reason that it matters is that there is a North, South, and the Umpqua that heads out to the ocean. Looks like a great trip!
Oregon Motorcycle I grew up in Glide. I love that area. Need to get my bike on that road to Diamond and Crater. It’s a beautiful trip. You should add some of the falls to your stops next time you are through.
Not really familiar with these parts but, I did camp south of Madres at an OHV park. There were some cool trails there. There's also China Hat which I heard is awesome.

That is a given. It's happened to me a few times with buddies letting me down. I put it down to being my own fault for choosing the wrong people to go adventuring with. If it were a movie my buddies would be the first to get eaten by a dinosaur,,,
Hello Oregon! Watching you from Portugal :) I'm enjoying a lot your adventure videos! I didn't quite understand which is the model of your side bags! Can you write it please? Thanks :)
Well blokes & squealers, next Tuesday Moto Camping, as you call it, here in West Australia. Will be doing around 2000 kms in 4 days just me and the cb500x. Love the adventure, gonna visit my new 9 month granddaughter who I've only seen once, thanks to the CCP Wu Flu. As a matter of interest what setting did you put your rear shock on Oregon Moto with your pack? Thanks mate. Edit, SRC Moto do a little tail rack that helps with my load. Think they're Oregon based?
Hi mate, firs time viewer, enjoyed the video! I'm wondering if you could provide any insight into your audio/microphone setup in the helmet. My mic just picks up an unbelievable amount of wind noise, completely distorting and blowing out everything else, including my speech. Comparing to your video, you have little to no wind noise. I've tried a variety of different microphone placements within my helmet, and a number of different things to try to reduce the microphone picking up the wind (foam around the mic, plus a big fur ball, having the microphone point in different directions [away from my mouth, away from the front of the helmet, completely tucked behind a cheek pad, and more], etc.). I have a chin skirt on the helmet too. As you mentioned in the video, I don't believe it is my mic, so I've resisted ordering a different one. In case it helps, I have the PowerDeWise lavalier microphone, recording wired directly into my iPhone, usually recording with the built in Voice Memo app, or a similar audio recording app. I've tried on a couple different bikes, so I don't think it is the way the wind is flowing around one particular bike and into my helmet - I'm wondering if perhaps my helmet happens to have airflow in a way that gets to the mic, but I doubt that is it either (it's a good quality Arai helmet which is quite quiet when it comes to wind noise). Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Cracking video however I did expect Clint Eastwood to make a special guest appearance, love the music :) Subscribed. So what did happen to your friend?

This is a classic. Excellent adventure. I think it was after watching this video I subscribed to the channel about a year ago. Well done!

Relive.

Very strange move to leave you alone without any explanation. I would not go next time with such a person anywhere.
How do you know which roads you can go on and where to find dispersed camping?
This is National Forest. Pretty much camp anywhere except if it’s posted not to.

No he told me he was leaving. ;)
