I don’t know how PIA is still operating but it used to be one of the best airlines , they even funded most of the projects for Emirates and Etihad due to which they are what they are today.

Although PIA have issues due to many reasons our planes are not well matched with other airlines. Still all pilots are from Pakistan Airforce and the best. Emirates was made by PIA. Their was a time PIA was one of the best airline.

GREATEST SHOT PAL! Coz it includes not one, but TWO "PIA 777-200 ERs" and Mannnnn-----thanx for such a GREAT shot from the bottom of my heart and stomach! Really. Although, it seemed quite frightening that the first one (and the first/opening-one of this video) came down WAY TOO FAST and thus caused THUMPING/SMOKEY landing---usually not observed with PIA's pilots. And first inaugural flight was flown to Karachi. Infact few people know this that the 'K' in the EK refers to their first flight from EMIRATES to KARACHI sector.

@@77l96 I never said they ARE the best. I said they are one of the best. Saying someone is the best is always subjective. Please don't act like a smartass here; I know what I'm talking about. It's one of the defining qualities of PIA; their experienced and good pilots. Indeed, pilots to receive training, but take in to consideration PIA is the flag carrier of a country which is struggling financially. Training would be fairly limited in that case. A lot of airlines especially Arabian ones hire foreign pilots since they are usually better trained. PIA doesn't do that. A lot of other airlines do it as well.
