Why is it that children nowadays are allowed to hit adults? One of my best friends has three kids, and his youngest one, still a toddler, will punch ANY adult. My friend’s grandmother WILL. NOT. BABYSIT that little toddler b/c he can hit hard when he wants to, and she has osteoporosis. I’ve seen that little kid punch my friend-his father-while he was out stocking up on supplies for his birthday party. IMAGINE THAT: My friend & I were at a store to stock up on supplies for a birthday party for my friend’s youngest kid, and what does he do? Hits his father for any dumb reason! - What would happen if the mom in this video HAD to defend herself? Go to jail on trumped-up charges? Send her to court-appointed therapy? I can just see it: Her self-defense claims-while completely honest and undeniably legit-wouldn’t hold water in a court of law in which the judge AND jury find themselves under the child’s spell, feeling sorry for him even AFTER all the audiovisual evidence showing his unwarranted aggression. HOWEVER, given the fact that neither mother nor child had any visible bruises, skin lacs, broken bones-or, more to the point, no permanent PHYSICAL damage-the court assigns that poor mom to an LPC for court-mandated therapy, and leaves HER to foot the bill. Never mind how many hours of work she missed getting arrested for no reason only to go to court on trumped-up charges; never mind how many hours of work she’s gonna end up missing JUST to make it to EVERY court-mandated appointment with her court-appointed therapist-never mind how all these missed hours are gonna impact her income: she STILL has to go to EACH & EVERY appointment, and PAY for EACH & EVERY appointment, JUST to keep herself outta jail. But THEN, there’s another snag: The therapist happens to spend at least one afternoon each week at the mall with her bestie who happens to be married to the arresting officer in the case. The court-appointed therapist, AND the arresting officer’s wife, spend at least one afternoon per week enjoying each other’s company at the mall-getting mani-pedis together, shoe-shopping together, savoring sushi and salads at the Food Court together. SO-O-O-O, at one point in the court-mandated course of therapy, the court-appointed therapist requests at least one session, one-on-one, with the aggressive child who, in fact, made it necessary for the poor mom to HAVE to defend herself. A single one-on-one session leads to another, then another, then another-and, B-4 anyone knows it, the therapist has convinced the child that he remembers his mother (shall we say) exhibiting unnatural affections toward him. Then new charges are filed, these false memories are admitted as evidence-and by the time the mom is acquitted on the grounds of false memory syndrome inflicted by the not-so-unbiased opinions of the therapist, that poor mom has already lost her job, unable to get a new job, with ZERO eligibility for any government support of ANY kind. - So what’s next AFTER that? If a child is caught carrying a gun to school, would that child be acquitted on the grounds of “being innovative?” Where does it stop 🛑??
