In case you didn't actually know every paradox map game has player targeting and ai buffing, in every case the ai actually does target players and will try and actively cock them over, you can easily see it in eu4 and vic2
I don't mind you using console commands. I swear the AI tries to take what you need. You could go for the most min-max start and the AI demands a province within your region or starts warmongering extremely early. My hypothesis is that the AI knows the resources of every region and tries to take any deficits needed for production and/or tries to limit your expansion. I try to play in Middle East, Spain takes Darfur/Oman ???? I try and play Japan, UK takes all of Burma ???? The AI is really creative...
See my theory is that the AI knows what country the player is on, since there's a country tag that shows if a country is Ai or not. Then, it focuses on nearby nations depending on who you are playing. But I'm not quite sure. Glad you don't mind though lol, hope you enjoyed!

last time i played japan in vic2 i became #1 GP by using a dismantle nation CB on great britain. instead of fighting them directly, like an honourable player, i used a war colombia, my sphereling, got into against venezuela and did it that way. industry wasn't going to win me anything so i decided to do the old prestige gambit edit: also with the india peace that happens a lot in GFM from my experience, probably due to overlapping cores between the princely states, india itself, and the possible releasable tags like bengal and the mughals
Fighting the UK is actual hell. It's brutal. I cut out the wars but, that war took me a good two hours or so lol It is a map game. Honor in warfare is for fools. Win as you deem necessary.
a pro gamer strat is: if you aren't playing as germany, try to ally them. their RGOs almost guarantee they'll become the #1 industrial power one way or another

So that means if i, for exemple declare war on ottomans as russia and add sinai as a war goal, UK could join the war because egypt is in their sphere

It seems like some colonies are coded weird and you can't annex or puppet them but. Canada for example can be annexed. I try to dismantle one nation every game, it just feels like a good way to end a video
