Can you kill the blue light or change the color? Don't like the blue light always on.
We just got it, plugged it in. Everything works except for the wave open feature. Any tips? Manual works
Hello cajun26bc, sounds like you still have to activate the wave to open feature. Double check to see if the blue light on top of your unit is on. If it isn't on this means you need to activate the feature. To activate, press settings until Easy Wave is displayed on the screen. Press the start button to enable the feature. If that blue light is on but still not working, you might have to contact Sharp service. Hope this helps!

Usually there is no need to clean behind the drawer since there is a tall lip preventing spills or crumbs from hiding back there. Before cleaning we always recommend (for Sharp) holding the STOP/CLEAR button for 3 seconds to lock the control pad and the automatic door mechanism. The drawer can be locked in either the open or closed position. This will prevent the drawer from accidentally opening or closing during cleaning. All you need is a damp cloth to wipe down.
does it fit 24" ikea cabinet?

I’ve had this for two weeks and all of a sudden it no longer heats.
Control panel doesn't work. manual no help. i hear there are no replacement parts.
We have had this for 3 years and has broken twice and was very costly to fix. We are looking for another brand.

When I purchased my Sharp microwave, I was told that Sharp actually manufactures all microwave drawers. I see there is a class action lawsuit, in NY i believe, against Sharp that includes 6 different badges, so regardless of the badge, there’s a good possibility you’re getting a Sharp microwave drawer.
Sharp has the patent on this.. they make Wolf and other brand names to their specs..
But why does it break down soo much? One would think after years of being on the market Sharp would have ironed out all the bugs.. If you buy one best get an extended warranty!
Does the drawer come out so that you can clean inside with ease rather than having to be a contortionist?

This sounds so wonderful; however, no matter where I research, the reviews are awful. I can't purchase an appliance that will be used six times a day by my husband that won't function perfectly.
