    good video. i bought the crimper, the wire, lugs, heat shrink, anl fuse blocks/fuse off ebay... made 3.5 sets for about $80 including hammer type lug crimper. regardless, this is a must do upgrade. makes tons of difference!

    I installed my cables today. It went really well, until that *@(*@&$)@ head bolt for the ground strap! That thing was almost the end of me. No matter what universal joint or wobbly I tried, I couldn't get at it. I ended up drilling a 3/4" hole through the sheet metal directly above the bolt. That way I could get straight down on it. It will make it easy to get at when I have to do the head gasket, too. The XJ sure starts quicker. The starter definitely turns over faster. Awesome quality stuff!

      @@hpgdawnpatrol9456 They are made of very high quality. They are actually copper not CCA, cables used for welding. I did the math before buying and it cost more to make your own then to buy these. The lugs are high quality and pressed on very nicely. The heat shrinks are also high quality and make a difference when I start my jeep. I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee with a rebuilt tranny and reman. titan engines I6 with level performance camshaft. It's worth every penny. I run 0 gauge cable (CCA :( going to change that) back to the trunk and have a 3x battery setup with an isolator, 1000CCA starting battery and dual optimas in the trunk. I have a sound system and after these cables, I got rid of my capacitor for my subs as I noticed lights did not dim when the bass hit low. As for your comment below about wire wheel and clearcoat, that is exactly what I did. I reached out to @ksuspension many times and got a response quickly because I had an issue where one of the wires were marked incorrectly. My next purchase will be a ported throttle body and removable winch for my hitch. Let me know if you need more information.

I have a 94 XJ and trying to do this kit myself if I send you an email can you please send a picture of the PCM with the wires that you reconnected with the cut blade reattached. It appears there's more wiring in the loom that the alternator wire is wrapped in they want to make sure I know what to remove. making sure that I'm not messing something up says it's a little different than the one Bolt from the 97s and on thats slightly different. You're the only one I've seen with a pre 97 upgrade video. Thanks!

      one of your power cables is grounding out. more than likely you have the alternator wire touching the case of the alternator. you need to reuse the plastic isolator so it doesn't touch the case.

      Every vehicle on the road could benefit from better wiring for the main power and ground cables. You'll be doing your XJ a nice solid!

    • @KSuspension
      @KSuspension  Před 5 lety

      sounds like a circulation issue. at higher speeds you don't have to worry so much about air across your radiator coil, unless you have it blocked with a winch or something else, but rather internal issues. Clogged cooling ports, bad water pump (I know you said it's new) clogged radiator, something somewhere isn't circulating properly.
