"riot thinks it makes sense to make the tank who builds no damage items does the most damage in their games" a statement that almost every player who does not play a tank or top lane is almost always thinking every game when the tankiest character on the other team is 1v5ing yours.

I actually haven't seen a Fizz in months, and in last 2 days I've encountered him in every second game. Good job Rav.
littually played against him after coming back for not playing in 6 years, and i can pleasantly say i still hate that overpowered, over kitted, 2 high dmg abilities, 1 high dmg and zonias leaping ability that slows, and a ult that can one shot you later in game with no counter play. i hate that fing fizz

Fizz feels really good when you're up to speed in gold and can mechanically outplay people, but he just gets outclassed by so many people it's hard to really play him consistently.
I've found him to be really good in ARAM, easily getting triples or quadras, but in SR he's just not up to par with neither the meta nor his kit
Fizz one of the exeption assassin that works in aram. Because of a stun, AoE stun that is.
Shaco was also a option but for some reason he was worse then teemo, even though in theory both do same. Poke, hide lay stuff.
Then pyke came into rift, fizz was forgotten as assassin opt

Honestly I hate versing him but it's sad that he's so forgotten, he needs some changes to his kit
yeah he's brilliant if you can get ahead early, but he falls off hard when people get items, and he just doesn't seem to do enough damage any more (which feels insane to say as someone who has played since s1 and remembers these champions releasing), that and his troll pole just still doesn't work properly. Standard league power creep.
@@HiggsyAndGinge his damage is also because his ult is literally just that now. Pretty sure it used to give the person it hit an mr debuff, but now it’s just some extra damage

Fizz isn't played as much because he's too actually one of the few assassins that have the traditional assassin playstyle and not overly broken. A linear gameplay that allows to to blow up a squishy and get away and punishes you if u fail to execute your abilities properly. Unless the rest that have some bs in their kit that allows them to make mistakes and get away with it.

@@Keurgui1 Performance and play rate is two different things. Fizz is good at what he does, just saying, compared to zed who can hit u his full rotation without being in melee range or akali who can hide in smoke for 5 sec to poke u and has four dashes on top of it or Katarina who gets to reset her cooldowns and spam her abilities; it isn't hard to see why Fizz is on the back burner.
@@gregorysandy2960 His playrate is a result of him being not as deeply played because his skill ceiling doesn’t merit you playing him a shitton to get the most out of him, as well as him being more or less a counterpick to mages for the most part. Nothing you said just now has anything to do with anything. Fizz literally has an untargetable dash that nukes you that can go on a 4 second cd and his combos are way easier to execute than those champs you just listed
He isn’t magically more balanced because you don’t see him as much. Get that thought out of your head buddy.
The fact that cass was no longer popular after 2017-2019 …. Had me in tears, if u can master her she is a great solo carry champ
Cass requires great cursor placement, also tremendous micro-movements in order to kite with your Q's effectively. Not easy to play with.
Yeah anyone who can play Cass really well is a God. She's not *too* bad early game she can play safe pretty easily but her late game is ungodly. If I see a Cass I get scared lol

Saw the first Fizz in my game in months and wouldn't you know our mid laner died 10 times to him and as adc of course I was able to counter play him and not die immediately anytime we were remotely close on the same screen.

I love how I got straight up bent over by a fizz yesterday to then get this video recommended today.
Fizz is dead because he's outdated. He was designed in an age where mid lane was populated by TF, Viegar, Xerath, Ziggs, ect. Champs with no mobility and no defense of fizz's linear playstyle of: Press R>Press E>?????>Profit. And he has yet to receive anything to bring him up to speed.
His damage is massively telegraphed and easy to dodge which gets worse in modern times where everyone has tons of mobility or strong defensive tools. Comparatively to back then when you had hourglass, guardian angel, or pray you get an enchanter support. And his kit is all in or no in. You either kill them in one go or you're dead, which against a meta of "bruisers" or "tanks" is just pain. You'd chunk maybe 1/5th off an irelia with a full combo before getting one shot by bork and jaksho. The other reason is his laning phase is terrible. A pure melee AP assassin with no range, no waveclear, high cooldowns, and insanely high mana costs with no sustain. His passive literally just shaves off 4-6 flat damage from all sources. The only way to survive is to kill your laner before they starve you out of the game by harassing you off CS but staying safe enough to prevent a bad engage, and once you get passed plat people just pick safe picks that'll easily do just that. Or play a "bruiser" who is either too tanky or heals too much to kill while murdering you in any trade that lasts more than 1 auto attack.
It also doesn't help that the last major changes to him were mostly nerfs. They removed his % health damage way back when stating some bullshit about player clarity and not having a clear picture of how much damage he's dealing, leaving him with a significantly worse version of his W and possibly one of the lowest damage DOTs in the game. But now a days they hand out % health damage, hybrid damage, and true damage to everyone and their grandmother so they don't even hold to their own guidelines on champ balance.
He is good only against a team that is composed of squishy champions. He is not the only one forgotten, a lot of champions are mostly or absolutely dead. Shen, Rek’Sai, Fizz, Azir (he is absolutely garbage, his “tower” deals literally no damage). Meanwhile Zed is still one of the most broken champions. Getting half an item and doing almost 3/4 health damage is ridiculous. Also Lux receiving countless buffs is ridiculous. Not because you can’t easily win against her, but if you randomly get hit by her Q, you are dead. Also Mordekaiser is ridiculous, going 1v5, getting back almost all of your HP and that passive damage… by far the worst champ you can play against is Morde.
@@dimitriasimov2140 I'd still say Shen overall is actually still in a pretty good spot on the whole, his map control still remains some of the best, he's tanky, and he does a respectable amount of damage.

as a xerath main i can only agree.
i play him support into veigar botlane O: PTA q aa w e out or for more damage. also gotta go font of life so you heal your team with slows (early on just e fully extended) but later on rylais and potentially frostborn for some team % damage reduction. and some knight vow action on top. and since adcs are still adcs, unless they have lifesteal you still just murder them.
