Toofty hitting direct hits on flying Soldier...
Toofty missing 3 shots on a stationary Heavy...
I relate to this on an uncomfortable level
Very relatable
when you play demo, you expect people to move around and you shoot ahead so they run into the pipe. When they’re stationary, you’re still trying to predict where they’re gonna go, even if they’re standing still. That’s why a lot of demos miss shots on stationary targets.
@@itsasecrettoevery1 I just main Soldier perfectly for Scouts and has long range, and Pyro aswell, for countering Soldiers and Heavy-Medic combos
@@SunnyyDayzz Is airblasting viable against Heavy-Medic combos?
Give the same knockback you get when using it to enemies. Sending them flying off Upward is my dream.
You know... yeah. I could get behind this. No damage to you, no damage to them, but you can still massively disrupt enemies by forcing them out of position (or into environmental hazards). That said, I can only imagine how upset people would be to basically get airblasted from across the map.
See? I may be an exotic grape, but when it comes to a new form of area denial, knockback on the sticky jumper could really benefit it. And also annoy snipers.
Yes. YES. YEEESSSSS!!! I've wanted this on the sticky and rocket jumpers both ever since I started playing TF2. After all, it would in that case be replicating stickybomb launcher behavior, correct? That would be the perfect addition, it would let sticky jumper demos stuff ubers and lay environmental traps.
The same knockback would be too op, but random crits are in the game so sure
@@johnt3606 yeah

The Skylander
Allen Holloway it’s too easy to maneuver using the Sticky Jumper, so instead of doing crits like the Garden, it should do mini-crits or have a solid damage increase when sticky jumping. I’d say it should allow you to one-shot light classes, but not immediately kill medics, soldiers, or demos
Okay fun fact for you Brits, The triangle in America means caution mostly behind tractors moving on the road or Semi Truck(which is one of those big trucks that haul trailers also all tractors have the triangle ) meaning slow down cause it's moving slow and you don't want to bump into it hurting you or the driver of the tractor. Bonus fact! It is required to have the Caution Triangle in the back of a tractor or you get a ticket.
If you drive in the rural part of the east coast you can sometimes see Amish buggies with those signs on them. Pretty neat
fr doe this is a thing in central europe too
Triangle signs for warnings are a thing in the UK anyway, Toofy seems to have just derped on that.
It’s like a caution wet sign

The sticky jumper actually didn't look like what was shown at 4:37 when it came out. That's the second model.
It used the default stickybomb launcher model, with no changes at all, making it really confusing to discern who was using what back in the day.

Also, what I call "short hopping" is AMAZING. You can close distances extremely quickly without fall damage. If anyone is wondering short hopping is when you lay down a single stickey on the ground and then without jumping, crouch and then move slightly in the way you wish. Make sure you are mostly standing above the sticky when u det. This will allow you to "short hop"

I think a good buff for the sticky jumper is when equipped you will have more ammo on the granade launcher
When did i write this
1:35 i just love how the little bell ring in the backround matches with those 2 direct pipes
Just wanted to say that the shot at 9:51 was absolutely phenomenal.
I've been playing like this as demo for the past 2 or 3 weeks. It is a viable playstyle and makes things a lot more fun. Demoman feels so much more free when you can escape when you want and fly everywhere. And my shots have been hitting more often with the iron bomber.
You mean the basketball launcher
I've started using stock again but I used to use iron bomber
I cant aim anyway and for me there isn't much difference apart from iron bomber sounds like a basketball and I haven't seen anyone non f2p use stock in a while
The real reason to use it is to play "jetpan black man"
Or to do a soundsmith tf2 and bully snipers on 2fort with loose cannon as well as pan
Thank you Toofty! I finally know that turning your screen around make you fast a little bit and hard to predict you are a amazing guy
love the videos man. keep them the heck coming
At 7:29 you jumped away from me, to take a health pack even though I was healing you. Why?
"Where were going we don't need ----- Medics."
Can I do a medic video with you sometime? I’m played TF2 for 5000+ hours and 600 hours on Medic, if it helps. Played comp since UGC Season 17. I’m asking this because since Array is gone I’m wanting to try and inspire more people to main Medic.
I can tell you my Steam name?
(My steam is Benjy52)
I'm actually really attracted to the medic but the leak of tutorials on youtube is disappointing. I enjoy playing with the vaccinator cause it keeps me active and makes me look around and see nearly danger sources so I can swap the bullet/splash/fire damage shield. Can I add you on steam and maybe give me some tips or something??
ShadowPuf That’s what annoys me. Sure there’s tons of battle medic gameplay, but I want to make videos focused on ONLY healing on TF2 casual. For example, videos on “Who to pocket on casual games”, “How to get godlike as medic”, “How to use the kritzkrieg on casual servers”. I’ve done 4 videos in the past on my gaming channel with the same name as my Steam, but the videos were subpar compared to my skill of making videos now. When I make videos again next month, they will look and sound as professional as this channel.
Sure you can add me on Steam! I recommend the vaccinator on KOTH games with smaller teams. I’ll accept the invite when I get home from school today!
I recommend ubersaw for the 95% crit rate, although that seems to have deserted me in recent weeks. I've gotten like 5 crits with it in that time
BenefitsBens I ended up CREATING a video talking about how to find the right players to pocket you on my other channel ☺️

Loving the videos bro! High quality and interesting
"It was nerfed in 2013"
Bloody hell, that makes me feel old. It feels just like yesterday when you could use it to basically teleport to the other side of the map while breaking the sound barrier.
I remember playing tf2 with a friend a while back talking about how much I really wanted a sticky jumper because it looked fun. 10 minutes go by and I got a sticky jumper through RNG unlocks. Proudest TF2 moment right there.
Really enjoyed your outro!

Spy: *I must go, my planet needs me*
I know this is late, but I love using the sticky jumper. My playstyle usually revolves around flanking the enemy, which the sticky jumper makes a piece of cake. Then, I can get a free pipe on an enemy to instantly have the upper hand.
3:24 "You can get to the enemy's teleporter and take him out." If I ever have the chance to get into an enemy's tele exit, demo or not, I'm pretty sure I'm going to camp it, lol

This is my favourite video of yours
the jokes were hilarious and great points were made
I would think that the best way to balance this weapon while sticking to it's theme would be to add the ability to knock back enemies like you would with the stock sticky bomb launcher. It still wouldn't be viable but it could be fun.
One of the best things in tf2 is that you can play thousands of hours and still has a big room to improve, and it never seems to end!
It's also worth mentioning that this weapon pairs really well with the iron bomber because the rollers can be used in a similar fashion to sticky bombs essentially giving you the ability to have a sticky launcher and jumper.
9:26
what an opportunity to call it the flying scotsman haha
I wanted this! Thank you!
when the sticky jumper was first added it allowed you to cap the intel with the downside of 48 reserve ammo instead of 72 and reducing the demo’s base health to 100
some time later they changed the health penalty to a 100% vulnerability to fire, explosive and bullet damage
then they removed that and made it so the sticky jumper had 72 reserve ammo and prevented you from capping the intel
this thing used to be really bad
May have to pick up one of these weapons, darn cool
Great vid absolutely lovely
I love the sticky jumper and your videos.
0:42 jus by the flow of the vid I just knew and it was so funny to say "thats it" as he said it lmao
Honestly I just love using the sticky jumper. Flying around the map and landing grenades is so fun!
2:45
Spy: im a rocket now
the pain train with the sticky jumper is good on koth maps because you can cap the point from anywhere from the map except your spawn (i took harvest and lakeside for reference)
Greetings, Toofty! As you could guess, I am a fan of your videos. You post precise videos, interesting concepts, and a regular upload scheme. But I have a simple question: What program do you use to record/edit your videos? I'm quite curious. Just know that I really like your videos! Love, from Morocco.
1:45 hahaha, wow never heard *THAT* before.
Wow, this is uhh… exactly what I expected from this type of video.
it’s scary
The loadout I always rock when playing demo is Loch n load, sticky jumper and the bottle
4:37 ye it was added in 2010 but it did not look like that back then. At the beginning it looked like the regular stickybomb launcher but valve changed the appearance of it over the next few patches (obv. so u could tell the difference from both teams).
To note about its use in HL: Sticky Jumper is useful at the start of Payload maps! It's generally unwise to move one's medic out of spawn without first killing or pressuring enemy sniper, so HL demos will sometimes equip sticky jumper to be part of the initial sac wave that attempts to make cheeky plays (kill sniper, kill sentry, force uber, etc.)
This with the pain train is amazing for capping points, jump past the enemy and cap as fast as a scout then jump away
8:57 Correct answer: Quickly upgrade the teleportar to lvl 3, takes 15 seconds at most.
Its only good to practice pipes and to annoy engies in swiftwater. In competetive scenarios you need the stock stickies, its also a good idea to use the stickiebomb launcher to pracrice your stickie floating in order to dish out more damage.
This is perfect for me because I like hitting my shots in the moment rather than waiting for the right moments, traps aren’t my thing so I love this thing.
when I played UGC Plat in S22, me and my demo would sac for the engy/med at the start of a payload map. he'd run sticky jumper for this usually. it's definitely seen use in HL
Mentlegen this is amazing thanks toofty i didn’t know how to use this weapon but know im a god! Thanks mate!
Imagine the cannon jumper, a loose cannon used to jump while in mid air
When i got the hold of this i have got more marget garden kills with frying pan and sticky jumper than actuall trolldier
I've been using the sticky jumper for 30 hours and I'll be honest it's the only reason I even tried out demoman again since it's just so much fun flying around that it convinced me to learn how to aim my pills. Also I somehow already developed all of those strategies you mentioned myself while using it, guess it's just part of the nature of sticky jumper mains
Scout : you'll never hit me !
Demoman with sticky jumper :accidentally jumps of the map
Jumps through the skybox
8:56 I appreciate that partner!
I once had someone who was more scary than effective because he used the base jumper, sticky jumper, and the ullapool caber. He would drop out of the sky, kill a random person, and then disappear by either death or stick jumping
The description of my Sticky Jumper is amazing,
*'I have the Balls To Do That'*
Thx man
I love what content you make ,no swears, respect to other players,

Great video!!!!
Sticky Jumper has got a bit of good synergy with the Loose Cannon. You can become an ultimate bomber ambush class with using the air time to charge up your double donk and unleash it along with follow up shots just as you land in front of a group of enemies standing in a choke point, on an objective, or near an environmental hazard. Superb devastation if pulled off correctly.
I remember that i met one of tootfy's friends in a community server
A nice guy with dope soldier unusual
Honestly the sticky jumper makes up for the loss a decent tactic is to sticky jump into someone, aim at the feet and midair shot. Flying over to the enemy team’s push and dropping a bunch of pipes from above more then validates the loss of a sticky trap or two. This weapon works best in things like upward, badwater and pier. 4 pipes is guaranteed to kill any class so I always launch 1 pipe to calculate trajectory then fire 1 more, reload midair and shoot pipes at their feet. The only thing is that you lose your ability of large group kills but a single demo who is competent at shooting pipes is more then enough. The 2 times I see it being bad is with a medic (no vaccinator) pocketing you and enclosed maps
In my opinion, this weapon is EXTREMELY good at breaching defenses or flanks. If you’re on blu, you can launch behind red and get their sentries and support classes. If you’re defending, use it when your teammates have the point under full control, then flank behind blu. This gives time for your teammates to move to better positions.
A little correction, when the sticky and rocket jumper were first added they looked identical to their stock version. Later they added the orange tip and then the jumping sign.
when i tried out the sticky jumper for the first time on suijin it was actually quite fun lol
8:26 "im not gonna say sticky" thank you
I miss the good old days in CP_Orange maps, where you put 8 stickies down with the sticky jumper, teleport to the other side of the map, and one shot snipers with the caber. Good times.
The only 'buff' I think the Sticky Jumper and Rocket Jumper should get would be the ability to push enemies around with the same explosive forces that the stock weapons have, just without damage. So if an enemy jumped onto your sticky jumper sticky, or you shot at them with a rocket jumper rocket, they'd get knocked around like they would with stock weapons, they'd just take no damage. It'd allow you SOME offensive use for the items, while still leaving them the same in every other way.
8:27

I have a question when you sticky jump or rocket jump with the rocket jumper and sticky jumper does it reset crit healing? I ask cause in one of samsmiths videos the secondaries of a trolldier to be specific he mentioned that the rocket jumper does 0 dmg true but he also said that the healing on the conch would reset when you rocket jump and he said that its because it still does damage but the dmg is 0 but the game still counts 0 dmg the same as taking real dmg from weapons so does this apply to crit healing?
