His evidence is very simply that conspiracy theorists precisely _don't_ condemn power structures ultimately. If institutions and systems were their true target, they would address the _structural_ antagonisms that _generate_ the social pathologies that afflict the general public.
But that's never their focus. In contrast to this, the language of paranoid conspiracism is saturated with politics of fear and suspicion against _demographics_ of people. The inherent problem with _this_ view is that it totally fails to recognize the _source_ of systemic problems, which have _nothing_ ultimately to do with people specifically, but the _systems_ that shape their very behavior.
Even the Left falls into this very populist tendency which the Right ironically _loves_ to mock despite engaging in the same rhetoric: _Eat the Rich,_ _bring the guillotine,_ _liquidate the billionaires,_ etc.
The whole problem here is that this very phenomenon we refer to as Elite corruption is a _symptom_ of the problem, _not_ its source.
_That's_ the distinction that conspiracy theories cannot recognize, because they're _not_ actually theories: they're _stories,_ with a hero and a _villain._

Because the entire point _I'm_ making is that conspiratorial _thinking_ is a _false_ analysis of a _structural_ problem. After power, they each battled with their own interpretation of communism and infighting raged until most of them died or exiled. When the true fact that there are powerful people attempting to extert influence on the world is taken as proof that all of these powerful people are actually entirely aligned with one another and do not merely attempt control, but have perfectly mastered control of all those except the few who know of the conspiracy, it's hard to convince someone otherwise.

@@Michael-Hammerschmidt Don't be naive, they may have divergent opinions on certain topics but they agree on the base lines : We're the richest, most influential people of the world, we're the "elites" therefore our responsability is to give directions to the world.
That's why I always say, there are no conspiracy theories only convergent interests. The problem po today is that they've given directions to the world for around 40 years now and a rift has appeared between the reality of the "elites" and the reality of the common people.
Who want to follow a leader who has no idea what it's like to be in their shoes ? Not a lot of people, that's for sure.

I was listening until he said “they wanted to take out terrorism they created more terrorism”. Amongst the first things Paul Bremer did was to unlock all Iraqi prisons and disband the Iraqi military - which everybody was immediately critiquing as a potentially catastrophic mistake which would cause Iraq to slip into chaos. At some point extreme ignorance and mistakes with massive implications but easily made can only be interpreted as malicious and intended.

I don't entirely disagree, but this guy really rubs me the wrong way. Overly dismissive of suspicions, using examples of conspirators that at least to my mind are dated, labeling people he disagrees with with certain emotional miscalculations, and exaggerates what a "cabal" would need to accomplish. I don't really believe in a cabal, optimistically I think humanity is just stupid, but hypothetically they wouldn't need anywhere near exact control or prediction, just enough that they could ensure a constant advancement of their position. (e.g. you don't need to start a war between Russia and Ukraine in winter 2022, you just need to start wars that your military industrial complex can exploit for gain at a sustainable rate. And really not even that, just constant improvements in position... His assertions that "The Cabal (TM)" would need to control and predict everything strike me as nuts)
Yet that is exactly what the UN/WEF+ cartel are attempting to do via global warming alarmism and ear porn.

WEF : World Economic Forum. A publicly recognised organisation cannot reasonably be considered to be a secret organisation. If they openly declare their intent, their intent isn't really secret. If their intent is facilitating cooperation between government and industry, it is not immediately obvious that this is necessarily detrimental to human flourishing. If I post on FB that I'm planning a fishing trip with some buddies, this does not describe a secret kabal to do harm (unless you are a fish with no access to FB)
