How To FIX a MOBILE CELL PHONE that doesn't CHARGE Properly

Hi, this video shows a very easy fix that may help you if your mobile cell phone doesn't charge, has intermittent charging or the charging cables keeps falling out.
Over time when the phone is kept in your pocket or handbag a build up of lint can occur in the charging port due to fabric fibres from clothing and tissues etc. . Even if you keep your phone clean the port will still get a lint build up which is compacted down when you insert your charger. By removing this lint build up you can often cure many common charging problems.

Thanks for the info.. It was a 100% fix cleaning out the charging port. What I used just for your knowledge, is a dental floss pick, they are skinny with the little brushes on the end, and it worked great for grabbing the lint & dirt.... also they have a plastic cap for taking in your purse, or glove box... Thanks...

I had done something like this on my own, and it worked, but not completely, there was still some intermittency in getting the connection right. I then used the crevice attachment of a hand vacuum to try to pull anything remaining out, and it worked. So try that also, but I think both must be done.

Liked the vid. It is all fairly basic stuff, as is most of it. I have a basic knowledge on all that, but my problem is it doesn't matter what I do my phone just will not charge. I have power going into the phone, my light is on, the battery symbol comes on as flat & you can see it isn't charging but for the life of me I can not work out why??? And before you say it, I probably have already tried it. And I know it is probably just a simple thing, but I just can not work it out. The only thing I haven't done is pulled my phone apart & have a good look at it. Any clues???

It isn't the battery because I have 2 new batteries & neither of them work. I know it is something wrong with the phone itself. I have it in parts & checking it with a volt multi-meter to see if I can find the fault.

Hopefully it is not a loose connection on the actual phone itself. It might be worth trying scrapping with a bit of plastic just in case some lint has compacted down which you may not see. Also if you have another charge lead give it a try as the contacts may have worn a tiny bit (or flattened down) which may work on other phones but may be temperamental on your Vodafone.
