I wear the EdP in winter, the EdT in spring and Habit Rouge L'Eau in summer. When I switch from the EdP to the EdT I feel a decrease in richness and quality. The EdT has great performance and I consider it a safe bet, yet is the one I like the least among my three bottles of Habit Rouge. I am glad to own all of them.

Enjoyed this much, AC. Have wondered about H Rouge edp but never sampled because of the seemingly all weather capable edt performance Sure edt is "venerable;" I'll wear it shopping, socially as a signal to the 20-somethings & hipsters that "I have no idea about what y'all be into." I usually go for edp or extrait, am not a rose, leather, or vanilla fan, but hold H Rouge edt among my fav scents ever. Importance of note quality, Blending, execution. Thanks for the review!

I did try out the EDT Version, but to me it wasn't a must have, maybe I have to get a few more tries. Sometimes this thing happens to my nose, that the initial test is "Ok", rather than a "wow". It happened with Hermes' Terre D'Hermes, but I believe it was due to a spoiled tester, or bad juice in the pipe, don't know, but what I do know now is that I'm in love with that fragrance! Who knows, one day I might fell in love with Habit Rouge. Thanks for the great review, I will give it another sniff one of these days.

Hi AC, I really like your description. Unfortunately I have never tried the edp version, so your video has halped me to imaginate how it smells. Well, I wanted to ask you if you have ever tried the Habit Rouge after shave. I have it and the difference for me is that I don't smell the lemon and the bitter - sour side of the edt, but immediately I smell a floral dusty smell in a sweet concept. After the vanilla comes out, and it is just divine. It is not very potent or sweet but very delicate, sublime and in a way maybe better than in the edt. Of course in all this development of the fragrance the leather is present too, but very ephemeral which I find great.

Hi the EDP is actually a modern scent. It goes well with leather jacket and Jeans. The scent smells like the inside of Ferrari or Porsche :) it has that petroleum note that mixes well with the leather. And yes, I now figured out why it’s called habit rouge because of that classic leather vibe. This is however a fragrance for unique individuals. It has this cunning power, snob, class, and mysterious unpredictability that only a real man can pull off.
Interestingly, if you sweat with it and if by chance it fuses with your leather watch strap or jacket, it then creates a very lively aura where it gets activated to transform into a niche perfume :)

Smells Good yes you are right with HR EDT it has that Carnation note after 2-3 hours which gives a “church” like vibe... some called it dated...
The EDP that Carnation note was removed. The opening is petrol with mature lemon (a bit ripe type of lemon) then the leather fuses with a bit of petrol... it’s actually like a vibe of a very expensive race car with leather seats. HR EDP is really a young scent and I love it. Thanks for the review
