    Tried pro with flyer, very versatile. No problem in choppy waters. Still got to try the Ultra.

      You might like to try the Ultra on the 800 and 245 even better...I did not had the time to try he set up yet...the only problem as I said is to get on the foil with the ultra specially if you are about 195 like Im...so that is why I prefer the pro...but time will tell...Enjoy your 2023 in the water man.

    Coach Rolando and Chase: Aside from the near collision at the end, another super useful instruction session. Thank you! Hope Chase was ok after his wipeout.

    Can you make a video that compares pro with ultra in more details?
    I still don't have my own efoil, I am wondering If I will be able to start with ultra and the new 80 cm mast, I have experience in different extreme sports, but I am 194 cm(6'4) and close to 110 kg. I also wonder if the 80 cm mast will be strong enough for me? What do you thing?

      Hello...I will wait until gets warmer here...but for sure is a great topic...At 110Kg I dont think the Ultra will be the ideal board for you. Im 180 at 88Kg...And honestly Is a pain in the ass to "get on foil"...The floatation is not good for above 90kg...meaning...you will use a lot of "room" to get enough speed..is hard but not impossible...but if you are in choppy water it makes things even worse...Is challenging ...Now this comes from a guy who is 88kg...pushing to the 110kg I don't think you will be. happy camper...This is just about the flotation...Now once you are on the foil is a diff game...is great however for me I almost is just a perfect stances and no need to move my feet around that much. Now off course for you would be diff cause your stands would be wider them mine...so you could loose a little of room for your feet placement. Now it all depends on what you want it for...If you want it for surfing only off course that is the board for you despite the hard time you will have to get it on foil. However if your usage will be for cruising and having fun around and occasionally surf...then I recommend for you to get the Pro board...The Pro board is a all around board that you can have a lot a fun and is very maneuverable and also good for surfing.
      Ill deff make a video comparing both of them with more details for sure...thank you for the suggestion and I hope this help you...Feel free to ask more if any doubts

      Thank you for your reply. My main concern is that I want the new 80cm mast and at the moment I see that it is offered only with ultra, I don't know If you can order it with Pro board. The other thing is that ultra seems more fun, more manuverable better for carving. I will mostly ride flat water lakes, I like speed and carving.

      @@KV-lj6el Yes...I called my guy here Nathan in the US...he is one of the head guys here...So the website is a little diff now. The best way is for you to choose the "Shop" key and order individually.
      So you go to Shop them choose a board...add to cart ...them go back to the "Shop" key and star again...choose Efoil proportion and pick the mast siz, color and "propeller" that you want, add to cart and so on until the end...I suggest you to get the explorer battery...it will add up to the total value...of course if you choose the 80cm mast it will cost a little more and so on...but you are able to do that way.
      Now in terms of the mast being 5cm bigger is really not that much diff to be honest. But is the only one offered in Gold color. Just a question if you wand to spend the extra $$$ for it. And for the fact that you will be doing mostly flat water riding I deff recommend you to stick with the Pro Board...it will be much easier for you to get up on the foil...as I said...if your main goal was to surf...them yes you should deff get the Ultra...but due to your height and weight and style of riding I would stick with the Pro board...honestly the Pro board for you would be like the Ultra board for me...it will be maneuverable enough ... it will also offer you a little of challenge to get on foil due to your weight and size...however you would get super frustrated with he ultra...But before you make your decision try to find a local dealer who can actually allow you to demo both board...I would deff do that before you buy it...try the Pro first...them go for the Ultra.
      Just to give you an example...I broke my Pro board so I I bought a Ultra board... I like it but ill deff buy another pro board cause is great board ...On windy and choppy days the ultra is a biItch to get on...however with the pro you get up very easily any time. I dont see the Ultra being my "all around board"...but the Pro is deff that board. I hope this helps and if you cll fliteboarod please mention my name helping you...I would really appreciate. Good luck and if there is more questions just let me know.cheers

      @@Coach_Rolando thanks a lot for your comments and guidance, I don't have shops that offer efoils close to me, only sifly and that is what I have tried for the moment, the board was very big and the mast short, my feeling was that I will easily get used to even smaller board . I am located in Sofia Bulgaria. My goal is to order Fliteboard around spring if everything is going according to plan, probably directly from Fliteboard, of course I will mention your name. Thank you for your help.

Hopefully by April ill be able to kale the video about the 2 boards...I will even add some weight to me to get to the 110 kilos to see how I will get up on foil...but I can see the it will be really hard lol...good luck on you adventures and stay in touch bud. cheers

    Another great video, thanks Ronaldo! I have a question for you. I currently have a standard Fliteboard, but in the future as I am getting better I will get one of the smaller boards, I like the idea of the Ultra with the footstraps, as I want to ride waves unpowered with the TGP. I have a Flow 1300 with the 245 stab. I know the Ultra is harder to get up on, but once you're up it will be great. I am 220 lbs so do you think I would be too heavy for an Ultra? I could get a Pro instead, but it's much harder to put footstraps on the Pro as it doesn't have the stainless steel inserts like the Ultra, and you have to do some DIY work to fit them. What would your advice be?

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Před rokem +1

      It really depends on your weight...Im 190 and trust me...it takes me a while to get up on the Ultra...I think for your weight you will deff fit much better on the Pro...the flotation on the ultra is not that good...even worse in shop water...if you re in flat water is dificult but not a problem...but if is choppy is super hard and you can really only get it on top if you go down wind with the chops ...I highly suggest you to try it first before you buy it...But I think you are better off with the pro board. Call around to see if you can have a demo ride on both boars...they should be able to help you out specially knowing that you are ready to buy another one...PS...I would wait a little cause I hear they are about to lunch the 3.0 version with new style boards.

      @@Coach_Rolando Thanks mate that's great advice, I am also thinking that the Pro would be the better choice for me, but no hurry. Wow version 3.0 it's hard to see how these boards could get any better!

    Hi What is the cause of the high pitched noise? Do all e foils do this?

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Před rokem

      Richy...I don't really know...I left a question out there to know if Im the only one experiencing that..I wish other race wing riders could give me a answer...But I made sure that the wing was well solid screwd in the mast...It happen to my 900S wing as well but not as loud..since them I did not had the chance to put the board back in the water again cause I live in Boston and that was my last day in the water in Florida...so I cant wait to see if the noise says the same...Ill find out this sprint...Do you have the same problem??

      Hi. I'm a kite foiler but interested in the e foil. I ask as the noise would drive me mad. I dont get this on my kite foil its very quiet. Is yours noisey with all wings?

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Před rokem

      @@richyandliz4802 I understand what you are saying...and out of the 5 different wing that I tried only this one was really annoying...as I said the 900S wing made some minor noise as well... The wings on the foils are not as small as the Kite foils ... but I dont think that should impact in the way that wing sounds...as I said....ill be riding again this spring so Ill know for sure...Ps. if you get one you will have a blast..you will have not trouble at all on riding it.
