Yes that's Dara! Ironically, his lyrics described Dara so perfectly that fans back then thought he wrote it for her but of course, that wasn't the case. And yes, that is G-dragon. Also, the pretty lady on the Billboard in Eyes, Nose, Lips is Min Hyorin, his wife. This collab with Jimin was EVERYTHING! Old ARMYs know just how much Jimin has admired Taeyang ever since he was young and I never thought this collab would be possible, I am so happy!
Taeyang has always been a multi-threat in this industry. He was known as one of the best singers and best dancers in the 2nd gen and his solos have been super successful.

I want to add one thing. With this video, Taeyang is ending a fierce debate in K-pop between fans and delusional stans. It’s practically a war. He has been fighting on the side of reason for most of his career. Long-time fans probably already know what I’m talking about.
Since 2013 he has been openly in a relationship with his now wife. He is one of the few idols who never hid his love life, not even the rocky parts. He is a father as well.

It's a good thing I watch that video about 10 times an hour because the first dozen or so times, as much as I love Jimin, when Taeyang was on the screen I couldn't take my eyes off him. Taeyang is so brave. Dating in public and devoting a song to Min Hyo Rin, his then girlfriend, whom he had broken up with temporarily. I could never imagine another idol being so brave as to make a song for his soul mate. He is the ideal man. ♥️

King of Kpop and Prince of Kpop RnB. he is alsjo Jimins Idol. The singer he looked up to when he started in BTS. So this collab is wonderful for both Artists.

Fun fact about Taeyang during his I Need a Girl era. Not only did he get Dara for the MV but he was actually looking for a girlfriend and his friend sent him on a blind date with SNSD Yuri. He was then invited to an SNSD concert but was more impressed with the LED screens rather than SNSD ladies. YG & fans were very worried he would stay single his whole life 🤣

Every man and his dog covered Eyes Nose Lips.. it was a WHOLE thing. Most of the YG artists did one. Tablo did a rap cover but completely flipped the meaning on its head and Taeyang featured too. I absolute LOVE Tablo's version.
Big bang was my gateway to k-pop, with TOP being an ult for me. In terms of Big Bang, Taeyang was a definite wreaker. I’m convinced, he owns very few shirts. 😂 Ringa Linga is a great MV to see his dancing talent. Vice is a great song. I hope we see more of those two together, especially with Jimin’s adoration to Taeyang and their chemistry together.

I am so happy you did a reaction video for Taeyang, he is one of my favorites! If you want to hear a different type of sound from him I'd say Ringa Linga would be a good one to listen to. I would also recommend his album White Night, there are two music videos for that album, Darling and Don't Wake Me Up, both really beautiful songs! Lastly, Taeyang appeared on the show Fantastic duo and performed Eyes, Nose, Lips with a fan that is absolutely amazing, I think that you would really enjoy how it was done!

I actually love his stance about Idol life, like you can read in comments about his wife, family, etc. He never hide his private life.
I think he is one of few Idols that started family and fans didn't make a fuss. I was so happy that every one was happy for him.
Also his opininion that "bc he has family he can't be sexy or flirty in song" it is so stupid, I totally agree with him it dosen't change anything! All artist should have normal life and still do what they want musicaly.

I liked Taeyang in VIBE and would like to know if he has done more like this. I think the collab was good they complement each other and it was a great intro to Taeyang for me (I realized I have seen his stuff years ago but forgotten).
I love Jimin on VIBE, he is great with this kind of almost rap, he makes it so dynamic, it's similar to Home and some other songs in a way. But he is great at using different textures, tones, creaks/fry and making it just very textured and melodic but still so smooth.
Taeyang's more strong straight forward and darker voice with Jimin made a great contrast. I would have loved for it to be longer and have more of a dance break because I see Taeyang can dance too, lots of MJ moves incorporated and he and Jimin together for more choreo is something I really wish it would have had.

In eyes, nose, lips that was his ex girl friend at that time. They were broken up, so I guess he decided to do something that would for sure get her back LOL. It worked, as she is now his wife.
WEDDING DRESS plotline:
3 of them are friends but the other guy confessed to the girl first. So they became a couple. And Taeyang, being secretly in love with the girl, kept his true feelings hidden and forced and pretend himself to be happy for his friends. He was just watching them as they tie the knot. He even became their bestman and sang for their wedding. At the same time, he regrets not confessing to her earlier.
You can see them dance vibe live, kind of, in a dance challenge they performed.
The live duet of Eyes Nose Lips on Fantastic Duo is even better, imo. Taeyang always sounds best live. 😊🙏
I strongly suggest you watch Suchwita Ep 3 Suga and Taeyang as guest. It's a talk show hosted by Yoongi. It was just shown an hour ago. If you want to know more about Taeyang and as per Yoongi Big Bang (of which Taeyang was one of the member) was the reason BTS came to exist. And you will know more of Taeyang and shows how Yoongi really respects Taeyang.

Asked her if he could use her face for the MV. They got back together. Announced their engagement December 2017. Got married February 2018. Their kid was born November 2022.
This song was the best song of Korea in 2014, and Taeyang received major awards in the Song of the Year category at various award ceremonies held in Korea that year. And there is still no Kpop idol soloist who won song of the year, except for Taeyang

Hi I'm so excited you listed to vibe it's my favorite song of the year so far.
So basically, Eyes, Nose, Lips was a break up song but wanting to get back together (fun fact: his wife is in the background picture). BUT if you wanna see great Taeyang collabs, there are 2 of this song that are my favourites: One was a version Tablo from Epik high did which he flipped the meaning to a break up song not wanting to come back and of course in the video Taeyang is still naked (the lyricism in this one from tablo is just insane and it's like an english version) czcams.com/video/qhc_UpS6U3Y/video.html.
The other perfect collab he did with this song is the one he did with a vocal teacher (I think that's what she was) in a show, it was pretty spontaneous since she was a contestant and they didn't have time to rehearse that much czcams.com/video/CxMvQkcdPl8/video.html . This one remains the best collab Taeyang ever did, their voices were made for each other.
As for Vibe, I really didn't feel it. It's not bad by any means but like it felt very commercial like a Bruno Mars' song, so it didn't really have the Taeyang flavor. I think a lot of Vips were having high expectations since he's so good at R&B. Even when he relased Ringa Linga which was soo different from his usual style felt like his song, maybe because it was composed by GD and he knows what works for Taeyang the most.
I am highly expecting masterpieces in his album tho, I'm sure he'll have different styles and he may bring back his sound :)
