I am glad I stumble into you channel. Very cool and educational. Looking forward to see more of your shows.
Great information, very inspirational about your many adventures!
It was a joy to watch thanks best regards from ireland
Thanks for the tip. I’ll look into the Dutch bikes!
Love me some Surly. Glad they Distro to Ohio. Cheers
Great to have found you here. I'm the same kind of dude. I'm 63 now. What is your next plan?
So, what do you think of the frame's compliance?
Yay, always abeer adventure!!!! 🤣
What size is it?
I am from India. upgrading from my humble btwin riverside 500 to Bridge Club. When I searched for videos in this context, yours is the only video which shows the completely assembled cycled by Surly which available online. Most of the Surly owners build their own bicycle. Now it's 2024 and Surly has moved from 10 speed to 11 speed and other components are more or less same. So for the 7 day or more self supported tour, Is the Surly assembled cycle good enough to climb the uphil and taking the weight etc or shall I customize it.
My Bridge Club is a 2x10. Is yours a 1x11? The initial hearing was almost “too low” and I had my gearing changed at my bike shop and it gave me the perfect range.
28/38 in front, 11-36 rear.
@@hopodysseys9688 My bikeshop also suggested 2 by 10. So probably will go with that only.
Have you ever considered a Dutch bike, such as a Koga, Santos or even an Azor with custom mods? All of those would likely be easier on your neck.
Would you be able to comment on the sizing? Given COVID, it's pretty much online shopping only so was hoping to get an idea of how well it fit given your height and neck situation (same neck problems here)
I have a large. I’m 5’11”. Inseam of pants is 32”. Quite comfortable. I could’ve been a medium, but it would’ve been more “compressed”. The geometry is pretty close to a bike I’ve ridden cross country but the upright bars (esp the Moloko bars) make it even more comfortable.
i wonder how many kilos for the frameset weight?
I honestly don't know. And I can't find it anywhere in the Surly specs. Sorry. But it's a heavy (yet quite comfortable) bike. I joke saying, "I need to let weights just to pick up this bike".
Praise the algorithm!
not much of a bike review
This was terrible! Probably should stick to just riding or being a Doc.
