I agree on Johan's voice, he and Biff should narrate a documentary on the wars between Alfred of Wessex and the Danes. This song should be the soundtrack for it. I actually went to see Amon Amarth back in 2011 and it was the worst concert of my life so far, but it was not the band's fault, they were phenomenal (as far as I can remember).
I am sorry to hear that about the show you went to. I was shocked that Amon Amarth blew Ghost out of the water in my opinion as far as performance goes. They were so fun!
@@MattsMoshPit1 I was confused that they would open for Ghost, but Crypta opened for Ghost in Brazil, so 🤷♀️ the show I went to they had Septicflesh and As I Lay Dying as support, and during the AILD set a bunch of tall corpulent guys decided to start a pit around me, and I'm a small woman with glasses, I had stayed away from the pit on purpose... It was no fun. But not any of the bands' fault, just stupid kids not paying attention to other fans.
Thats not good. I am 6,2 and don’t really get pushed around, but I am not really a fan of all of the pushing and shoving, especially when I just want to watch the show and have a good time. In our case we had seats, so no pushing or shoving. I hope you get to see them again under better circumstances.
@@MattsMoshPit1 heard some other people say that about Amon dusting Ghost live, I missed their set when I saw them but fans were raving about Amon getting the audience to row for "Put your backs into the oars"
The song is on Amon Amarth"s the Great Heathen Army. These are two legends together. I love that song!

It was really cool that they did that. I am just starting to learn about Saxon and this video definitely makes me want to hear more from them.

They did, it was so much fun. In fairness Ghost was good, but it’s hard to compete with rowing, battling a serpent, Viking fighting, etc…
