The idea that they couldn't end the film at the iconic church scene where Peter rips off the symbiote and it bonds to Venom and seeing that as unsatisfying is very strange to me, as by all accounts that's the perfect logical endpoint if you're looking to do a cliffhanger ending.
Agreed
That would of been perfect too cause that also just gives the movie more time to develop everyone’s character
Avi Arad: The vulture wasn’t a compelling enough villain.
Jon Watts and Michael Keaton: Y’all hear something?
In fairness, they did him differently than Raimi was planning to.
Yea I hope rami wasn’t gonna do the whole youth story with vulture that just seems weird to me anyway.
Full fat video did a video on mcu vulture being a Rami villain or how he resembles one.
Vulture being the final villain is too eh to me
Especially since he’s supposedly the weakest one
Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 would be a dream come true.
If they stuck with raimi’s idea I think we would’ve had at least 2 more movies after.
@@frankyoungin8665 Raimi had plans for 6. Vulture, Sandman, and New Goblin for 3, while Lizard, Black Cat, Sinister Six, and more were planned for 4 5 and 6.
If the studio wasn’t stubborn they could’ve ended part one w Peter losing the symbiote setting venom up for 4
If that happened you can bet Sony wouldn’t think on rebooting at that moment in time especially with a ending like that.
The sandman character was perfect in this film. The scene of him pulling himself together after being created, is absolutely heart wrenching.
The look on his sandy cgi face when he can’t pick up his daughters picture is one of the saddest things, but it also makes you root for him in that moment.
RE: Elfman fallout. The fight between Elfman and Raimi was specifically about the fusion reactor demonstration at the beginning. The movie was temp tracked with Chris Young’s music to Hellraiser. Raimi asked Elfman to “get closer” to the temp and Elfman refused, worried it would end up as a legal issue. After Elfman left, Raimi hired Young to do that scene. (Raimi also had John Debney rescore the pizza delivery chase at the beginning and most of the train fight). Elfman has a history of blowing up, considering his fallout with Burton during Batman Returns & Nightmare Before Xmas
Thnx for sharing. I was always curious about the specifics
I always thought that the original idea was for Sandman to be the main villain for Spider-Man 3. Also, at the end of Spider-Man 2, it looked like Harry Osborn would had been the main villain for Spider-Man 3 and become the Green Goblin. I personally would had prefer to have Harry or Sandman be the main villain for Spider-Man 3. Really wish Sony had let Raimi go with his original plans for Spider-Man 3 & 4. I think had they done this and ask Raimi to do Spider-Man 5 & 6, with Venom & Carnage as the main villain for the fifth one and the Lizard for the sixth movie.
A@lot more than 😂
Carnage as villain in 6th movie venom as a villain in the 5th one
@@Earth12181 venom & carnage should main villains in spiderman 4 and then spiderman 5 villains would be vulture and lizard and mysterio
@thedlsking1628 setting up both venom and carnage along with symbiote spiderman would be a mess, the story could mainly focus on spiderman's symbiote suit and Harry in sm3 peter killing harry in the end because of the symbiote rage with a post credit scene where we see spiderman ripping off venom and the symbiote catches Eddie brock.
Then spiderman 4(2011) Eddie's symbiote being a villain in sm4 with Mary Jane dying and venom almost exposes Peter's secret identity(just like spectacular spider)and in the post credits we see a shot of cletus kasidy,in the prison as well as venom reproducing and giving birth to red symbiote which catches clutus kasady, spiderman 4 ends.
Spiderman 5(2013-14)
Carnage as a main villain,he made the whole city into a manace making everyone just like himself,Gwen being Peter's love interest but in the end Aunt May couldn't survive the carnage attack and dies, later Peter,Iron man and Hulk team up to make a cure and spread it to the whole city, they also team up to fight the carnage in the end with Peter and Gwen getting engaged 💍 and that would be the end of spiderman 5
Spiderman 6(2018)[10 years since the events of spiderman 5]
The peter and Gwen engagement was just imagination of peter,as we get to know he is suffering from schizophrenia after MJ and Aunt May's death peter has got a bit older like,he's in his late 30s he has stopped pulling his puches too, this is a physiological thriller movie focusing on Peter's mental health,Gwen is there to help him though and Mysterio being the villain who played with the mind of peter using his illusions,we find out that peter didn't had any mental issues they were just the illusions of Mysterio, his intention to ruin peter is because he is jealous of peter and he always wanted to be a superhero but spiderman took all the limelight we see the story of Mysterio as he was the first superhero of this universe the time when peter was about 10 year old(he got his powers when he was 18) Mysterio while fighting a villain got injured and was in coma for 8 years then spiderman came and most everybody forgot Mysterio
In the end peter defeats Mysterio using his spider sense
Spiderman 7(2021)[this will be a logan style movie]
The last movie peter has got pretty old like 43-45 years of age the movie starts with peter and gwen marriage(it's real this time) but peter is ageing a lot quicker meanwhile we see Miles getting spider powers so peter trains him making him discover the meaning of "responsibility" in the end peter dies fighting The 4 villains-Venom(as he isn't dead),carnage(as he is just in the jail not dead),Vulture,Sandman(who later gets in Peter's team)
Peter,Miles and Sandman tried hard but they were not able to save peter in the end
In the post credit scene we see all the loving moments and how she was there for pwter when MJ and May died and we also see Gwen's delivery of a child and named her as May Parker!
Cast
Carnage-Jim Carey
Venom-Topher Grace
Mysterio-Jake gyllenhaal(he played it the best imo)
Vulture-Johnathan Banks
Harry-James Franco
Gwen-Bryce Dallas Howard
Miles Morales-Myles Truitt
Spiderman-Tobey Maguire(obviously)
MJ-Kirsten Dunst
@thedlsking1628 try reading my story,I didn't thought about it though thease scripts came in my mind instantly when I was reading your comment!
I remember that Raimi was going to film Spider Man 4 and 5 back-to-back. Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst were both getting big money to come back. Anne Hathaway was supposed to be Felicia Hardy in the film. I forgot who was cast as the Vulture. But when the film all collapsed and Raimi left the project, Maguire and Dunst walked with Raimi leaving. That same day, Sony immediately announced a Spider-Man reboot to premier in 2012.
Yup! I have an entire video on that one
John Malkovich as Vulture, this was gonna be the redemption for Spider Man 3 but they couldn't get the script done on time.
I love the idea of having the themes of revenge and forgiveness in Spider-man 3. However,I felt that Venom fit these themes perfectly and that Sandman was not needed. Gwen was also not needed. In my view, the first half of the movie features Harry looking for revenge and Peter getting the black suit. The second half would be Spider-man facing Venom. Being a massive fan of the character,Venom obviously didn't get much development or screen time he deserved. With that being said,I love Spider-man 3. It's a flawed movie, sure, but it's no where near a bad film. In fact,I think it's pretty damn good.
Yeah, I think it just had too many characters and storylines going on. If they kept things simple it would’ve worked.
I believe its about forgiveness, revenge, and vulnerability. He learns to forgive his enemy, Flint Marko, how his need for vengeance and trying to close others out made him into a hollow shell of violence, and to be open to other peoples’ point of view and not just his view
I agree. People often say Venom was unnecessary but I think Sandman and his whole plot wasn’t. I hate the whole Uncle Ben retcon! It ruins the whole first film! Plus who cares about Sandman? I wanted Venom!
@@Nick64266 How does it " ruin the whole first film " ? Uncle Ben still died because Peter let that guy get away .
first movie i ever watched in cinemas, Spider-man 3 will always be a masterpiece in my eyes.
That sequence has always been my favorite since 2007, it's perfect
Gwen wasn't in the third act because Bryce Dallas Howard was pregnant. She found out after filming the skyscraper scene.
I've heard in the past that Sam Raimi didn't really like Venom as a character because he didn't see anything redeemable about them. Both Green Goblin and Doc Ock had slight face turns near the end of their movies. Norman saying "Don't tell Harry." and Otto drowning his mini-sun shortly before they died.
Another thing that made Venom disappointing in 3 was the constant pealing back the Venom face whenever he talked. I know Sam Raimi is a director who likes seeing his actor's faces but fans came in wanting a scary monster and that's not what we got. Weird because fans were excited at the thought of Venom being treated like an Evil Dead monster. Evil Dead being the series of horror movies Sam Raimi was most known for before working on the Spider-Man films.
As for adapting the black suit story, it's difficult to use Venom without telling the black suit saga first. Pretty much forcing Venom into only being in the third act. What I might have done would have the climax of the film take place either at or near the church so Peter could use the church bells to force the symbiote off of him bust out an older beat-up spare suit and finish the fight with whoever. Then in a post-credit scene, we would see the symbiote find Eddie Brock and get a tease of Venom who would then be the main villain of Spider-Man 4.
Counterpoint- the cartoon told the Black Suit and Venom story almost perfectly in less than one hour of screen time, and it did follow a three act structure with Eddie only turning into Venom in the last 20 minutes.
Raimi just didn't "get" the character or use him properly, and to be fair he didn't really fit the story Raimi did want to tell as easily. But it certainly could have been done fairly easily.
@@jonathancampbell5231 Yep, had Raimi do a cliffhanger, it would have easily have been finished for part one where Brock gets fired from the Bugle after wrongly saying that Lizard was Connors all along, where Connors answers the door, then Brock finds the Venom Symbiote and it leads to him being the host and becoming Venom.
Wait. Sam raimi actually did the evil dead? Shit
@@Honestlynothingelse Yeah. That's why Bruce Campbell (Ash Williams) cameos in many of Raimi's other works. The two became good friends while making the Evil Dead movies.
The original ending was super scary just like evil dead
I was just thinking a couple weeks ago while rewatching, just how backwards it felt that Peter immediately went straight back to his revenge crusade upon learning he got the wrong guy. I didn't used to think much of it because I misremembered it as him already having the symbiote at that point, so it would have made a bit more sense. My immediate thought after seeing that was "Wait wait wait wait. What the hell happened to with great power comes great responsibility?? It's like the boy didn't learn a damn thing from Uncle Ben."
These bullets and rum videos have been excellent, this channel is definitely going to the top soon.
Thanks Toby!
Facts, just discovered them and already watched three😂 it’s truly amazing how great these films could have been if it weren’t for studio conflict
I'm almost POSITIVE this guy has another, larger channel... His voice is SOOOOOO FAMILIAR but I just can't put my finger on it. 🤷
I’d love to see a Spiderman 4 but I think it should have new villains we havnt seen yet; but maybe make some nods to villains he has fought off screen like vulture, lizard ect. And maybe Otto, Connors and Flint are there to help Peter after the events of No Way Home. Also by Connors I don’t mean the one from Amazing Spiderman.
I think the Otto, along with the other villains except Flint, that showed up in No Way Home are sent back to a timeline that branched away from the Raimi trilogy and Webb duology.
What about chameleon or Hydro Man,even Mr negative canwork as a villain of Spiderman 4
@@Earth12181 Mr. Negative as the main antagonist could be a great idea, considering his character was amazing in Insomniac Spider-Man.
They’d just need a different storyline.
@@goodblueblox yes,we need new villains

Harry should've been venom
(Not because of Spider-Man 2 ps5)
@@evee907especially with all that rage he had built up since the end of the first movie, it wouldve been a nice move
Raimi should have threatened to walk if there was more studio interference.
I really don’t think this movie is as horrible as people say, there has been a more worse Spider-Man movie, but I quite like it.
This movie ISN'T as bad as people say. It isn't as good as Spidey 2, sure, but I think it's WAY better than half the shit the MCU releases every year to immediate critical success. Multiverse of Madness included.

With almost every superhero franchise plummeting recently except for Spider-Man, I think this is the perfect time for Raimi to finally make SM4. I also think this is a great time for Andrew Garfield's version to return for a third film in his franchise, too, and it would make perfect sense now thanks to No Way Home.
Look At Little Goblin Jr Gonna Cry First!
I still loved that movie
Don’t see how it would have been difficult to split the movie into two parts. Part one could have been the black suit Spidey story with Sandman as the main antagonist, then part 2 could be all about Venom while Peter is trying to reconcile with Harry and Mary Jane. By giving these plot threads more time to be explored, we could’ve gotten two great movies instead of one overstuffed mess (albeit with a few great scenes)
part 2 could have been him going to the church after ripping the symbiote that gives us time for a dream scene we never got
I've seen images on line of a black symbiote suit that looked way closer to the comics. Wish we had gotten that!
The producers didnt want to use it because they thought it looked like a latex porn costume. Seriously.
@@MeltedToast84 😂 that's just sad!
I'd love to see another Raimi Spiderman film AND another Garfield Spiderman film. At this point why not!??!
Agreed
The cut in of Kylos more was perfect and made me blurt out laughing.....cause this crap happens all the time. A director/writer comes in creates something amazing and then the producers need to get their grubby hands on it. It's what almost killed Mandalorian season 3
Spider-Man 3 was the first movie that truly disappointed me as a kid. The trailers had me so hyped that I skipped school and saw it on opening day with a couple of buddies. I remember sitting there in the theatre with a Burger King 'Original Chicken Sandwich' and some BK Chicken Fries trying to convince myself that the movie wasn't shit... but it was no use. And to make matters worse, the next day at school I reached into the front pocket of my nap sack and my hand came out covered in BK buffalo sauce... I must've pocketed an extra packet at the theatre and it exploded in my school bag sometime between the movie and my art class the following morning. And all I could think of while cleaning the mess in my bag was how disappointed I was in that movie.
LMAO 😂😂
That's a roller-coaster of a movie memory. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.
Fantastic four X men 3 hulk
How old were you?
I actually loved the film as a kid but as an adult I can totally see it’s messy. Too much stuff for one flick. It should’ve been longer tbh I think then it may work
Awesome video! Lots of new insights. Only note is that Mary Jane being in the climax damsel position was because of a complaint by Kirsten Dunst for being replaced by another character.
Interesting! Didn’t know that.
@@Bulletsandblockbusters Same here. I'm kinda glad they didn't kill Gwen Stacy off though, because I felt that it would have been overkill.
I heard that the original plan was different. Bryce's Gwen would be kidnapped by Topher's Venom, and Kirsten's MJ would convince James' Harry to help Tobey's Spidey. But since Bryce was found to be pregnant with a son (her first child, she's married to Seth Gable), Kirsten had to go to the damsel part again. Sam Raimi initially promised Kirsten that she wouldn't have to be a damsel anymore, but due to Bryce's pregnancy, Sam had to break his own word and ask Kirsten for doing the damsel role once again. Sam still doesn't like it.
Are you sure? Cuz all reports, including from Raimi and Dunst was that MJ being in danger again in the climax was a studio mandate because of time issues and that Dunst was actually thinking to not return to the film if she had to be the rescue victim again. They had already filmed her original role in the ending too, which was to be the person who convinced Harry to help out Peter against Venom and Sandman.
On the audio commentary, Raimi is very candid that he had to summon the courage to apologize to Dunst for putting her back in the damsel in distress role she had already gotten tired of playing but had to because of both time constraints and the fact that Howard was pregnant at the time. Now I could believe this story if I had a source, but when looking at what we already have, I don't know where this piece of information is coming from.
I feel I actually like venom in the movie, if anything I think they should have saved Harry for spider man 4, but for 3, we should have gotten him slowly loosing his mind, having his father taunt and push him to take vengeance. Or just play the editors cut.
Harry should’ve been Venom instead.
I definitely like venom more in Spider-Man 3 than his solo films
Fun fact the suit in the thumbnail they tried it and looked like a black laytex suit
Your next video should be a video on Raimi's original plans for Spider-Man 4, 5, and 6 and Marc Webb's original plans for the Amazing Spider-Man trilogy.
Vulture was originally in Spider-Man 3 as well. I thought Sam and Co added him in because the studio wanted more villains? Was it not just Sandman and New Goblin? Which would make the second ending of this script more... interesting, if it was New Goblin instead of the Vulture.
It was sandman and vulture originally with a little goblin jr
Vulture was originally the secondary villain in Spider-Man 3.
Sandman was always intended to be the main villain for Spider-Man 3. Marvel forced Sam Raimi to replace Vulture with Venom because of fans. The fans have been wanting to see Venom since the first Spider-Man movie came out. Sandman is Sam Raimi's and Tobey Maguire's favorite villain.
I personally thought that the score for spider man 3 was great, especially Sandman's theme
It would be great to see spider- man 4.
Honestly, Sam Raini venom may be small and weaker, I love that version because he looks more like a horror villain than a antagonist and the new venom made him less scarier than the Sam Raimi venom
I know it’s not comics accurate but having John Jamieson become venom would make perfect sense after Spiderman 2. They could have done the story from the animated series with the shuttle crashing in new york.
All for 90s tasm dude
I’ve been saying that for years! I do love what we got, but that would’ve been better.
@anamericanwolf8728 Just having Spiderman get the Alien Costume would of been a great movie. Where he becomes more confident in himself and stronger as a hero. While becoming are darker more violent version of himself that we saw if the animated series and comic book
And if spidey killed him in a showdown? Would be the perfect setup for Jameson to make spider slayers in 4, and scorpion.
I said this for a while, that would have been perfect considering they already introduced John Jameson in 2 and he already would have had a connection to Peter Parker in Mary Jane
The cliffhanger shoulve been when eddie turns in to venom. The roar, black screen, credits... I saw this clearly back then when I saw the movie.
Spider-Man 3 is good as is. Without the current version of Spider-Man 3, we wouldn’t have Bully Maguire memes.
So there’s a positive. I also prefer Spider-Man 3 over the 1st Spider-Man movie
So, the Raimi trilogy was a big part of my early years, and has had a huge impact on my life. That being said, I think I’m in the minority here when I say I wouldn’t like to see a fourth Raimi film, unless they make some major changes to the formula. The whole version felt so tired and played out in SM3, and I’d hate to see that Mary Jane and all the headaches that come with her again
An ASM3 would be better than a fourth Raimi film, but the script needs to be right!
Spider-Man 3 remains my fav till this day, im glad the film went this route and what we got is better to me. Also as a Venom expert if you want to know, Topher Grace's Venom is more like Ultimate Venom in 616 bagley venom design. Venom was not always big and imposing, different artists drew him and most of the time they did him big. Only thing Spider-Man 3 needed was one more hour if you ask me where we could see a backstory for Eddie Brock. They plan to bring back Topher Grace for Madame Web and Venom 3 and i hope we will get more about his story there and fans will finally like him, he is my fav Venom already anyway.
The cliffhanger could been the church scene where Peter separates from the symbiote and it attached to Eddy setting up Venom for part 2.
I’m glad the people at Sony learned their lesson and trusted the creatives they hired enough to let them work without pressuring them with changes and mandates moving forward. All of their comic book movies since then have been great.
Imagine if we got the proper Spiderman 3 and Raimi could have negotiated Venom for the Finale, Spiderman 4
THIS is the instance Harry should've been Venom. The Symbiote could give his memories back, and he has way better motives for hating Spider-Man than any version of Eddie.
I'd love to see a 4th Rami film or another go with a Garfield film. Ideally with a better script and things changed. I thought both those incarnations were good acting-wise.
There's rumors flying around that there will be a 3rd Garfield film set after the events of No Way Home, where they introduce the sinister six which was teased at the end of TASM2 where they walked into a room filled with stuff like the venom symbiote, a pair of wings (Vulture), mechanical arms (Doc Ock) etc as they are going to Green Goblin's cell.
This would be perfect as you could essentially have Mysterio, Kraven the Hunter, The Vulture, Venom, Doc-Ock and Green Goblin create the Sinister Six to combat Spider-Man. It was also rumored that Mary Jane Watson was going to appear in TASM3 as well since her scenes with Gwen and Peter were cut from TASM2 for unknown reasons.

To be honest I believe if Sam Raimi just didn't tried to mix his own original idea into the new ideas, and just tried to either balance or do one-another, instead of mixing them all into one mix, the movie could've ended up being way better.
It would've ended up just mid possibly, but still way better than what we got. It was at the end of the day still Sam Raimi's decision to keep what he wanted forcibly together this mixed demanded bag.
Lets say your mom wants you to eat veggies but you don't like veggies, instead you wanna eat candy. You either deny your mom and eat candies, or just eat the vegetables, you don't... mix them both and put it in your mouth.
3:29 i think the look of this venom was inspired by Todd macfarlene’s venom in how he was bigger than Spider-Man but not as big as the hulk. Also, his tongue didnt stick out
Venom was a disappointment but Raimi's original ideas didn't seem super compelling either, and it's pretty annoying that he introduced Curt Connors but had zero plans to ever make him The Lizard.
Organically, Harry should have been the main villain of Spidey 3, maybe with some supervillain allies, since that's main arc running through the three movies (even if it arguably shouldn't have been), and he should have developed a more sinister scheme than "I'm gonna hit on your girlfriend".
Both Raimi and the studio messed up, in different ways.
Agreed
I don't know how not making Connors the lizard somehow impacts the qualities of his original ideas.
The Osborn plot line was already built up in 2 movies, done well mind you, so it would have been interesting to see on how they develop that given more time.
The only thing that isn't so compelling is The New Goblin plans itself.
They should have made Harry the hobgoblin have him wear a hoodie like thing over his mask with the sliver masks shown in the movie that way it could include the hobgoblin.
i feel like the plan was to eventually make dr connors into the lizard in a sequel
@@xavierramirez1911 Sam Raimi flat-out said that it wasn't.

Thnx!
Making it a two parter would have been ideal. The first part would have still made bank like Spider-Man 3, but would have been a wake up call to the studio to let Raimi be Raimi. It might have also been less bloated and faired a lot better. Still not big on the Sandman retcon, though.
It should have just been Venom and no other villain.
Don't get me wrong, I love what they did with Sandman, but the fact that the first 2 movies were already Green Goblin and Doc Oc, Venom made the perfect sense. The 3 of them are arguably Spiderman's most famous enemies.
It seems like that's the direction the games are going, with Green Goblin being the most likely villain in the next game.
Venom and lizard should be the villane
We will never get a Sam Raimi Spider-Man with Tom Hardy's Venom. Sad.
John Malkovich was suppose to play Vulpture and he's a badass actor. Spiderman 4 coulda been so good 😥
Spiderman 3 is like a wine, it gets more enjoyeble to watch after years
Spiderman 4 would be a dream that come true
They need to release a Special Edition where the Venom CGI's replaced with a huge character model. It wouldn't improve the film narratively in the slightest, but it'd go a long way for fans to get Todd McFarlane's design right.
What an amazing channel

To give the studio credit, Peter's desire for revenge fits in perfectly with the symbiote-Venom angle. They should have jettisoned Harry for that film and had him for the fourth film with Lizard as frankly he was the weakest part of the film.
Obviously fans would want Venom in the Spider-Man movie and Peter being angry with Uncle Ben's killer on the loose seamlessly bridges those two things. They could then save Harry for four and have him be the Hobgoblin and do that properly giving him a real costume and not just have him be some guy on a hoverboard.
I just love how He said it didn't stick The landing Bully Maguire hits 2 cars
The studios have ruined so many movies. We could have had some amazing movies over the decades if the studios would get out of the way and let the directors do their thing.
Idk how the studio hated goblin and doc ock
It’s mind baffling that Avi would say Sam’s being selfish for using villeins he likes from the comics I argue Doc ock was definitely a villain everyone wanted along with goblin i remember as a kid thinking venom will be next then sandman is revealed I honestly thought he was a made up villain as in just made for the film learned his one of thr classic villains from the 60s.
Spider-Man 3 isn’t perfect, but I liked the film, I do feel bad for all the studio pressure Rami had to endure, imagine finally releasing your film that studios forced so much into, only for people to hate if
The funny thing is spiderman 3 was actually a great movie and still holds up
I think if I was writing the script for Spider-Man 3, I would have had -
1) No Mary Jane Watson - would have wrote her out of the script saying she went overseas to do her plays
2) Introduce Gwen Stacy properly as Peter's love interest/girlfriend.
3) Sinister Six introduced at the end with Kraven, Venom, Hobgoblin (replacing green goblin), Sandman and Electro (replacing Doctor Octavious/Doc Ock), setting up a Sinister Six spin-off standalone film which would set up Spider-Man 4 where Spider-Man finally battles the Sinister Six.
It's to earlier to make Sinister six in spiderman 4 .also it doesnt works with new villain like kraven and venom and hobgoblin and electro
2:50 man that looked creepy I have a screenshots of that version of venom it is creepy but it suits carnage more tbh. But that's what I like about the way venom was in Spiderman 3. He's much more evil and straight up creepy then venom. He's so much more predator like Then the venom we see in Sony's take on venom. I personally like how different venom is in spider man 3 since it's basically venom and carnage mixed.
Besides SM #4 I'd love to see Raimi direct a trilogy. On the 1979-Nov 1985 Rom Spaceknight series.
Your TWO-CENTS were "two-cents" well spent. I concur, sir. 🕸🌱
Yes the dance scene is meant to be ridiculous, cos Pete can't really be bad he a good guy
I like Goku failing to be a bad guy better tho at the end of DBZ
I think they should have ended part 3 with Venom cliffhanger and let him be the main villain in Spider-Man 4...
Agreed. That way they have time to tell both stories: sandman and venom
Raimi should never be allowed to touch another comic book movie. They should have fired him the moment he made The Green Goblin a Power Ranger
If the movie came out today, it'd be called a masterpiece
No way. It would be even more panned now than it was before.

I mean there will always be PPL who dislike anything there is.
But modern movies are being so crap that sp3 would be a masterpiece
Would love to see a 4th Rami Spider-Man!!!
Spiderman 2 2004 still slaps, the video game was also 🔥 for it's time. I think it would've been a better idea if Vulture and The Sandman ended up working for Harry Osborne to try and kill Spiderman in the third movie and only Spiderman had access to the symbiote. While this feud between Spiderman and this mini Sinister Six is taking place we would have a few scenes of Black Cat (Felica Hardy) and Spiderman interact with each other while she's robbing a bank or something and she somehow hilariously successfully escapes every time. Eddie Brock would still be in the film but he becomes Venom during a cliff hanger for the fourth movie instead.
I disagree that Venom looking different in this film is a bad thing, he's honestly designed in the best way that would fit in a raimi spider man film, the problem is that the end was really rushed and he practically had no character development and screen time.
I like your channel, man. You got anything on the canceled sequel to Batman and Robin? What about possible stories for Jurassic Park 4 while it languished in production hell?
Thanks. They’re on the to do list
if the studio didn’t interfere we could have had:
spider-man 3 - sandman and vulture
spider-man 4 - kraven and lizard
spider-man 5 - electro and mysterio
spider-man 6 - doc ock returns and forms sinister 6
spider-man 7 - symbiote saga
spider-man 8 - venom
spider-man 9 - spider-man and venom vs carnage
If I could go into a movie theater and watch Spiderman 4 and hear the opening score with the Tristar logo id fucking die. 2004 would come back.
Contrary to most evaluations, Raimi's true mistake was not dumping the Sandman. Get rid of the Sandman and the arc of what Spider-Man 3 should've been is easy to discern: All the Venom and Harry stuff stays the same, but instead of saving Gwen Stacy, Peter *fails* to save her, which is why he takes up the Venom symbiote and becomes reliant on it in fighting Harry. MJ stops Peter from killing Harry, and he discards the suit, which Brock picks up. The movie ends roughly the same, with Harry and Peter fighting Brock as Venom. It was Raimi's insistence on keeping the Sandman in the movie that bloated the movie and ultimately ruined it.
According to IMDB at least, the REAL reason Gwen was subbed out for MJ last minute was because of Bryce Dallas Howard's pregnancy... Assuming that the stunt work would have been potentially a bit too risky they decided to change her, which Kirsten Dunst wasn't a fan of
I like it
The reason Gwen wasn’t kidnapped is because the actress was pregnant and couldn’t do the stunts. I imagine that MJ would’ve convinced Harry to help Peter, which would’ve been much more satisfying
Spiderman 3 is my favorite tbh
Based
to this day i still believe this movie should've been dedicated only to the black suit and then spider-man 4 dedicated to Venom
Agreed
Respect for the efforts 6:52 🙌😂
Them doing it in 2 parts could've worked they could've have kept Eddy a mystery character being mentioned but not named the first part of the film focuses on Peter fighting off Sandman and Harry, getting the symbionite suit, and his relationship with MJ, after defeating sandman he has a chance to off him but choses not to and gets rid of the symbionite. The film ends with the symbionite finding it's new host Eddy. And in part 2 it's just Spiderman facing venom as the antagonist
07:54: "To his credit", after the fact, having made his money regardless of how the film performed, and forced the director to do something he didn't want to...
they should of just had Harry (dawns the title Hobgoblin) and Sandman as the main villains teasing venom at the end with spiderman 4 being vulture at the beginning then venom as the big bad
I don’t get why they couldn’t make it a two parter. The scene where Eddie becomes Venom would’ve been the perfect ending, setting up Venom for the next movie
