FINALLY A BREW CREW CHANNEL!!!!!
Solid advice...I've been prospecting for about 4 years now, what I usually do is LOTS of research prior the cards coming out of which prospects are in what product. Buying the prospects of your own team is a good start...as a Braves fan, I've gotten very lucky buying Albies, Acuna, Waters, Pache and other guys really cheap. For the other teams, I try to pick 2-5 guys a year that are NOT the top expensive prospects that I think would be good holds and try to get at least 3-5 base autos and a couple color refractors of each guy. 2018 I had Jordan Groshans and Brice Turang, 2019, Ronny Mauricio, Hunter Bishop and JJ Bleday. I try to get 1 or 2 of the top guys as well, but they are already expensive from release day. I stopped when the minor leagues shut down last year, but I need to start back up again. It's a lot of luck too....oh and never invest in pitchers.
The problem with buying your own teams prospects is that it becomes hard to sell when they go up. The cards are too personal to you and you will think about holding them.
Very good vid ! This is what I did once I saw Basketball starting to tank. I found I really love following prospects. It’s just fun ! Two guys I like are Cal Raleigh and Peyton Burdick. Those 2, look solid. Thanks for a great video ! 👍😊
Good advice! Although, it is much easier for you to say to invest in your brewcrew because their milb is loaded lol
Great video Nate, would love to check these again in another 6 months to see the difference
I think the Bowman Chrome market has stayed so strong because it was strong before the card “boom” during the pandemic. There will always be an appeal to collectors to collect a player’s 1st professional on-cards autographs. I don’t think you can say the same for flagship and base cards that are currently declining in value!
Dope very informative I’m a basketball soccer guy but lately been picking up bowman baseball good product .any other baseball product you recommend??
My San Diego Padres have been good to me last few years ( Tatis Jr) 😉
I only focus on Padres prospects since it is the only minor league teams I follow. Robert Hassell and CJ Abrams are killing it.
What do you guys do...buy a bunch of prospects at the get go when a product is released (and prices are low) they have very little or no minor league performance OR do wait for 12-24 mo and see how they are progressing and then buy in? I am buying some guys from 2019 and 2020 now but paying a good amount for raw cards of them however I also believe they are top 10 prospects. I just got back into the hobby last March so still learning the ropes on prospecting
For years I would buy a case of Bowman, Bowman Chrome and Bowman Draft every year. It's about a 3 year investment, but there was some real good money made there. Tough nowadays, case prices are high, and grading services are ridiculous. It was a fun process while it lasted.
I’ve been thinking about doing the same thing but not opening the box and reselling 10 years later. Thoughts?
@@jeremiahmiller4640 I think wax is a bad move. Too many prints are being made and the cases cost too much money nowadays. The last year it made sense to to buy a case was 2019 in my opinion.
Thoughts on your Brewer Andre Nnebe? I pulled a bowman 1st paper auto.
Luis Matos
Would you invest in Luke Little Bowman cards
So you just mention Chromes. Does everyone hate the paper. For example I just bought a lot of 26 Ismael Mena, just because he has promise. 9 bucks. Kinda like what you are talking about but paper.
Don’t forget. Minus 20% with all the fees all added up bud.
You need a lot of patience to be a prospector
The amount of ads you guys allow on your videos is extremely annoying.
the minor league season just started. stuff is already cooling down.
I dont see stuff cooling off on the guys I am buying...Brennen Davis (will be top 10 prospect soon - already is on the list I follow ;-), Noelvi Marte, Luciano, Witt
@@duanetomka6559 Francisco Alvarez, Grayson Rodriguez, etc...
@@asianwithanaccent4047 I know I should probably give pitchers a try but I only invest in hitters at the moment. Arm injuries scare me most recent one is Forest Whitley.
@@duanetomka6559 That's why 5 dollar pitchers are the way to go. Even if they don't pan out, it's a small small loss
