I have a pair of Porta Pro that I happened to use the other day after my Bluetooth headphones were out of battery. They sound ridiculously good for 30$, but don’t expect anything too out there. Many Bluetooth headphones in the 200-range sound better for example, as will wired ones focused on sound quality. But they truly are special and worth looking into if you don’t mind sound leaking in from the outside.

I'm also a big fan of the Porta Pro, I love everything about them including the price - really the best bang for the buck. I would recommend getting Yaxi Pads for Porta Pro for some thicker ear cushions though, also they come in a couple of different colorways for some customization if you so please.

At my daughter's schools this year they been having like retro months..on the last Friday of each month they can take anything related to that period 😆.. So for the 80s.. She took a working Panasonic walkman with tape an all 90s she took my Sony Discman also cd or guns n roses 😆 for the 2000s my 2 gen ipod 😆... Teacher just waits every month what she will take.. And all my stuff still working.. 👍

You make some really good points about the need for tactility. Touchscreens are clean but you need to look at them whilst using. My son misses the old Nokia music phones for the very same reason. I’m old enough to remember when Walkmans came out. Man did they eat batteries.

I grew up in my early years with cassette players and CDs, it was so much better in terms of experience. Now it's all about convenience, which is also understandable; I love curating playlists but always nice to go back to CDs once in a while.

I used to own porta pro and sporta pro around 15 -16 years ago. Can’t believe they still make them.
one alternative I can suggest for that cool looking headphone is to use portable bluetooth amp that you can connect with your phone, (eg: FiiO BTR5). It will enhance your listening experience, plus keep your cables tidy to your pocket while you using your phone. It provides mic too!

I'm impressed with the Walkman usage and tapes :). I went through several of those things and I'm 58. And cassette tapes. Well I was probably the last person on earth to move to CD's which was the next big evolution before MP3's and now streaming.

As you shooting with the 90D: I do as well and just ordered the m6 mii additionally, it smaller, portable and could be also interesting for you. I know you do also lots of shots with the 13 pro. But as the m6 seems to be discontinued now you might like to check it out. You do great things with the 90D and the m6 could be a great carry on addition.

I wrote part of my art school honours thesis about the tactility of listening to music on a Walkman. Did you have to get a new belt out in the Walkman you use? Most of the secondhand ones I’ve found have dodgy belts after so many years of use.

I was watching the video and thinking most of the time like “ who the hell needs most of this stuff it’s extra as hell” then it clicked for a second and I thought damn I’m not the only person who lives on this planet and there’s people who find this information helpful and entertaining bc I seen you have a metro card and I was like people in NY probably relate to you more bc they always Carry some type of bag always walking doing activities while using versions of the stuff you brought up bc it’s there every day carry and I was like that’s cool bc over here I’m SAN ANTONIO TX most people dont everyday carry a bag or anything but I’ve noticed a lot of people coming to SATX from NY and I’ve seen how they always carry said items and how it’s more efficient and makes your day better ……if off the gas rn not gone cap but yeah fasho Ong no cap
