- 💜 I think Jack Harlow’s presence on the original track feels like a mismatch, interrupting 3D‘s effortless groove. So that's why I made this video by editing the Live Performance Video to fit with the alternate version of the song, a version without Jack Harlow. Enjoy!
In an interview with Consequence Sound Jungkook said that he received lots of songs to look at for his next single, but didn’t really like any of them until he heard 3D. "The moment I heard it, I chose it naturally.” He acknowledges that the process is different when on his own, as opposed to when he’s working alongside his BTS brothers. “With BTS songs, it’s all the different colors of the individual members coming together to make up the final song - whereas, for me, it’s just me and my own unique color. I don’t think I could make something that has all the colors of BTS, but being a part of BTS formed the basis for my solo project.”
"When I started working on this song, I got the sense that it could really appeal to people who know early 2000s music. There’s a sense of nostalgia. But I also felt it could also appeal to younger people with its sophisticated feel, and that kind of direction felt right to me. I also paid close attention to the pronunciation, the feel of the lyrics, and the overall content so that I could bring that feeling to life.
What I want to do is test how far I can go with my voice and my capabilities. How far can I go completely on my own? Also, I want to try out many different genres, and it’s important that I’m not fixed on any particular genre. I just want to be open, so when I’m working on a song, I’m focused on that moment. The stories of the songs can appeal to a lot of people and be relatable with different variations on that."

I really did not like JH's verses on this song. THANK YOU for making this as it truly flows with the alternate vibe that I personally think should have been the single. Jungkook is perfection on his own.
Thank you for this version, Britta, it gives me a version I can watch. I don't know who or why they thought they needed the trash talk and misogyny on the Harlow rap but I'm glad you provided an alternative. JK by himself makes this song better.

This version is SO much better with just JK. He does NOT need anyone else to carry him! The song flows beautifully without the rap section that breaks it up. The dance moves are so in sync and smooth…. He just oozes a ton of talent in that body.

Just saying but i still don't know what he want to see in 3D 😂
After listening to the song several times I changed my mind: I now think the song is boring and Jack Harlow's rap definitely misogynistic, as you say a real mismatch. I didn't particularly like Latto's rap but at least she is a woman. Why do we have to listen to a dudes fantasies about his sexual prowess, while he insults women (i.e.ABG: Asian baby girls, I beg your pardon? Made you play with yourself on camera, wow, what a feat!). This being in his past or not, BTS fans (mostly women) shouldn't have to listen to this kind of rap in a song by a BTS member.
Hybe announced the song: it shows a more mature side of JK. Why is sexuality a sign of maturity, while in fact it very often isn't. I don't know what is mature about the song. Directed at those who still see JK as a "cute bunny"? The song is superficial, no fun (in contrast to Seven) and aims for the mainstream. I noticed a lot of comments on the official MV were not in English, so.... While I am sure JK knows what he is singing/knows the lyrics of the rap what about those fans?

It's your right not to like it. I personally think we must respect the choice of artists, and not project our own vision of the world onto them. JK makes his own choices, he accepts them. it's not respectful to think that he can always be manipulated or that he must keep the mentality of a child
I like this version SO MUCH more. JH stepping over the dead body on the sidewalk is what disgusted me. Dehumanizing and misogynistic. Not funny or profound. Just disgusting.
