Radiohead
Jigsaw Falling Into Place
Live at Saitama Super Arena, Saitama, Japan
05.10.2008
lyrics:
Just as you take my hand
Just as you write my number down
Just as the drinks arrive
Just as they play your favourite song
As your bad day disappears
No longer wound up like a spring
Before you've had too much
Come back in focus again
The walls are bending shape
They've got a Cheshire cat grin
All blurring into one
This place is on a mission
Before the night owl
Before the animal noises
Closed circuit cameras
Before you're comatose
Before you run away from me
Before you're lost between the notes
The beat goes round and round
The beat goes round and round
I never really got there
I just pretended that I had
Words are blunt instruments
Words are sawn-off shotguns
Come on and let it out
Come on and let it out
Come on and let it out
Come on and let it out
Before you run away from me
Before you're lost between the notes
Just as you take the mic
Just as you dance, dance, dance
Jigsaw falling into place
So there is nothing to explain
You eye each other as you pass
She looks back, you look back
Not just once
Not just twice
Wish away the nightmare
Wish away the nightmare
You've got the light you can feel it on your back
A light you can feel it on your back
Your jigsaw falling into place

I hate that they didn't play this at the From The Basement session
Its because the Tuning of the guitars :(
s a d m u s i c c o v e r s but bodysnatcher is the same tuning:/
@@ilaacaa123 Jigsaw is Open D tuning while Bodysnatchers and House of Cards are Drop D, which means you only tune the low E down to D, while in the open D tuning you have to change the tuning of 4 strings.
@@ciroamore2546 it is not in Open D tuning.. The B string and the high E string remain untouched.. So the theory that they did not play the song because they were too lazy to tune ONE string is ridiculous to me.
@@_Clowder_ They would have to drop the low E to D and tune the G down to F#
This is one of the hardest Radiohead songs for Phil and Thom.
Martin Anthonio16 yes , is that why they dont play it too often?
lol especially when they play it this fast
Thoms part ain't that hard really. Phil's part is a challenge of endurance
@@ieuanphillips4963 lol try playing and singing it at the same time
@@sunepedersen8537 Thom sings in the parts that dont have the inicial arpeggio.
.
One of the most rhythmically dense songs I've ever heard and it's incredible
If I remember correctly it has been since I played this song Bm Bm Bb Bb Dmaj7 D6 Gmaj7 F# Gmaj7 is a strange chord progression. Wouldn't work without the baseline. Maybe I am speaking chinese to a none musician.
What does that even mean? Lol
@@Skoopyghost It's exactly that chord progression.
It's somewhat nonsensical but ey it works
To me one of the finest songs ever crafted on the bass guitar.
Colin Greenwood makes gorgeous basslines no cap
It’s definitely up there with my favourites with ed’s playing and definitely jonny
i dont play bass but i can hear it
the best bass line ever recorded is on The Magnificent Seven by The Clash
sounds like he's gliding on butter
Insane that not only does thom have to sing in a lower register but he also has to play a difficult guitar part underneath it, phil also has to keep an insane constant tempo especially on the ride
I’ve spent a heap of time learning all of the guitar, no idea how I’m gonna come to sing over it. They’re all just so insanely talented !
The one song I want to hear live more than any other.
Every song literally
The beat goes round and round. THE BEAT GOES ROUND AND ROUND
I just saw this meme and now had to come here:
"Dad, why is my sister called 'Rose'"?
"Because your mum loves roses."
"Makes sense, thanks dad."
"No problem Jigsaw Falling Into Place Live in Saitama."
saw it on reddit too :)
I'm in love with the part where he says "Not just ooonce, not just twiiiice"
"Jigsaw Falling Into Place" best performance ever?
yes!
Sadly not often played live...
Considering there’s only a few live performances and only few to choose with, so yeah. Best live performance
nope. check live at club cuidad de buenos aires - Argentina
Thom nop, en argentina es mejor CREO. Igual, ellos dan todo de sí mismo en cada recital así que me parecen buenas las dos
Colin's face at 2:45
Hahahaha
I know it's live, but man they are playing this fast.
This is actually the same speed
it does feel faster. but i fucking love it
Same tempo actually. Might feel faster because Thom is strumming instead of picking the guitar.
@@kevynm666 hes strumming In the recording tho
The album recording is 164 bpm while this live one is 172 bpm. That's quite a noticable difference especially since it's sung.
damn phil must've lost a bet or something
Why does your comment not have more likes?
Why lol, someone care to explain this?
@@KertPerteson lol, try playing this on drums
@@brightoneasterling9304 as a drummer who tries to play this song a lot, it hurts
he goated
One of the best songs of all time both artistically and sonically
I love how Radiohead breaks music theory. The way they do it with exit music and this are my favorite.
I was here.I love Radiohead forever.
You lucky man
lucky you 😤
buraa musu
Jealous! Love from America.
I get why they rarely play this live, I’m not a musician but the vocals are fucking insane on this song. I like to think I can carry a tune well, and can hit hard notes, but I lose my breath in 30 seconds flat when I try to sing this😂
It's crazy to think Radiohead created the greatest song in music history.
Not really, it makes sense
@@TheWeastBeastwith their portfolio it's almost to be expected honestly, theyve already got a few of the greatest in history in my opinion
Why don't they play this song live anymore?? To me it's one of their best songs
Extremely hard to perform
very hard song
@@JoelVela13 whats so hard about it? Not saying it's easy but they've played harder stuff more regularly than this.
@@ieuanphillips4963 Listen to the drums, not easy for Phil, trying to learn the song, and I always get cramps playing it lol
@@darthsidious6111 oh yeah those drums are a pain
Makes me so sad that Radiohead as a band have disappeared (at least for now). Their music and live performances are next level
That bass is MOVING
the first time i listened to this song i realized music is magic

The one song I want to see live
Legit one of the top 100 songs I've ever heard
2:51
It saddens me that they didn't capture that same sound live. In the studio version that is my favorite part of the song.
They did it perfectly?
Unfortunately, Thom's voice in real life doesn't have reverbe :(
unfortunately, Thom has this organ called lungs. :((
@@violethill4454 Unfortunately? he'd die without them lol (but yeah I get the point)
@@violethill4454 lmao
i wonder what i wouldn't give to listen this sing live and sadly that won't ever happen :(
This song saved me.
They all look like they are about to pass out
They genuinely look like they’re having a blast - genuineness shines.
このjigsawめっちゃ好き
3:17 😊 Ed always looks like hes having a good time and that makes me happy
Just wow, this song has a life of its own. Takes the band completely over, such a hardcore moving song. Damn incredible
Radiohead 💖💖💖
None like them
One of few songs ever recorded and performed without a chorus... no lyric repeated... wizards
that is such an odd criteria to judge music by
He actually says the title twice in the lyrics ;)
THE BEAT GOES ROUND AND ROUND
There are a shit ton of music that fits this criteria. You should listen to more prog rock.
"The beat goes round and round, the beat goes round and round", "dance dance dance dance dance"
jigsaw is my favourite song the people there are so lucky to have seen it live
One of my favorite live performances ever
i copied this to send to the bloke who wished for this song to be in the In Rainbows setlist on another video. i think he'll like it.
thanks a lot for uploading this
i really hope they play this song again
Their best song undefeated
Love ed's role in this 😂
I saw them on this tour when they stopped in Dallas. I remember reading at the time that they were going to film this tour and release it as a concert DVD with a different song included from each city. I wonder if this is what that was from. Also that was the greatest concert of my entire life. One of my all time best memories!
So much tensión... amanzingly beautiful.... the beat goes round and round... Patrick Bateman love this song.
Let's see Radioheads jigsaw fall into place
I just pretended that i had

For giving an old boy some comfort
Stellar
And TY for posting this❤
this quality is gold
My all time favorite song
Una de las mejores presentación de Radiohead 💥🤤
A masterpiece
2:03 ... OMG That transition. And that tone.
Masterpiece
I can't believe this has less than 1 million views. This is bloody brilliant!
People here have great taste in music
This one exists between nothing and something, so much shuffling, guitar and bass is amazing.
Banger!
they successfully made a song so good, so intricate and hard to perform that they literally cant perform this as often as they probably want to. all 5 of them were DRENCHED in sweat after that song.
Goosebumps
BANGER ALERT
This and All I Need are my favorites from In Rainbows
Sublime
La perfección 👌
amazing
Best rock song ever made
I mean it's absolutely stunning, but rock is very broad.
@@zynel413 agree buddy
They fucking killed this. Greatest band of all time.
La he escuchado hasta en cover y esta de saitana súper arena tokio radiohead se rifa
i love the bass in this i’m going to play if for my collage music course audition
